@@user-pr3jm9jx1f Yep, major throwing arm injury, major surgery, recovery that robbed almost all of his training camp - all the same year that he then beat out Darnold, Lance and Allen for QB1, and went on to win his first 5 games averaging 33.4 PPG, had the best stats of any QB in the league by the end of the regular season (and during most of it), broke 49er franchise record for passing yards in a season (and in only 16 games), broke NFL record for highest deep pass (>20 yd) Cmpl%,..., etc. Oh yeah, and with a poor, #24 ranked pass protection O-line. What a remarkable first full season. Screw the Purdy-deniers. We just witnessed an historic QB performance season.
He lead the league in almost every category but yards per attempt is what goes over alot of peoples heads especially if you dont watch the niners

The guy has some balls on him to say the least. There was no fear in him whatsoever in the Super Bowl. Not even a 49ers fan but my heart broke for him.

I didn't care who won the Super Bowl as a Steelers fan as I just didn't want to see Baltimore there, but my heart was telling me to root for Brock Purdy and the 49ers. Unfortunate they couldn't win it, but that game turned out to be one of the best Super Bowls of all time I'd argue.

Richardson went 2-2 his rookie year. Purdy went 8-1. Richardson couldn't average 1TD a game.

Brock played so well this year. Now he has his first nfl offseason and could even get better. Dude is gonna be scary in the league.
His ceiling is literally through the roof, no knowing how good a 7th round QB can be when he’s this good this early. Last time you saw this was Tom Brady

he was by QBR and many other stats, broke Shanahan's 4th quarter demons twice in the playoffs. Fell just short against an awesome KC Chiefs defense. (He/SF also struggled against Cleveland and Baltimore defences.)

Wouldn't go quite that far yet but he's gonna be a good adversary in the NFC for a long time, and any other NFC team wanting to get to the Superbowl is gonna have to get by Purdy.

As Chiefs fan Brock played a good superbowl game, I was surprised how well he did against the lockdown corners we had.
Y'all have possibly the GOAT at QB. No shame in losing to greatness.Purdy was ultimately undoen by Spags' disguised blitzes on those last 2 3rd downs. Maybe experience will helt him see those faster.
@@micahkiyimba8641i think the o line failed him too, there were 1-2 plays where chris iones was literally unblocked. And then twice on crucial 3rd downs, the chiefs safety was completely unblocked
@@micahkiyimba8641 Two seconds since the snap, no QB is getting anything done in those situations. Those are horrible Ls for the offensive line to allow. Spags adjustments were very good.

Aiyuk and Deebo are Pro Bowlers because of Brock. Neither of them were able to win their one on ones which made blitzing easy and forced Kittle to pass protect more
Season didn’t end the way we hoped but Purdy did a a great job. Looking forward to him lighting it up again next season.

The Chiefs have the game’s greatest DC, the top pass rusher of the year, and the two best cover corners in the NFL. They shut down Lamar and beat Josh Allen. Spags said Purdy is unflappable and calm and that he is a much superior athlete and runner than they realized. CMC’s fumble, Luter’s heel touching the punted ball, Moody’s mossed XP kick and not blocking Chris Jones on the final red zone pass are what stopped the Niners. Purdy had zero turnovers to Mahomes’ one interception. He had free runners in his face the entire second half as Spag outcoached Shanahan.

I think that Brock coming into the league with an excellent supporting cast will be key to him maintaining success as the years progress. Once they inevitably lose a weapon or two, he will have gained skills that he wouldn't have had he been drafted by a non-contender

Reid spent decades super bowless until Mahomes showed up. Purdy could be that man for the niners. Hoping this offseason the defense gets back up to 1 from 12 like they were before and that the o-line gets some support to let Purdy work. Plus his first real offseason. I'm stoked he's our QB.
Purdy is a great QB, he’s the last draft pick put up big numbers. Never gonna get the respect he deserves because he’s not a early round draft pick.

Brock Purdy is already a superstar. He is the most versatile quarterback in the league. He finished his season with 4,280 yards, 31 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

No, he doesn’t really throw 60 yard missiles. But the amount of times he throws it between 10 and 30 yards into a tight window is astounding. He is extremely EFFICIENT and people resort to the “game manager” slander because of that.

I knew exactly which pass you were referring to before I looked lol. A lot of idiots were saying any QB could make that pass at the time, but there are very few that will stay in that collapsed pocket and make that pass.
Didn't end how we wanted. But he was improved from his rookie season and the future is looking bright at QB for my Niners. We have to get better in pass protection..especially the interior and then we can get #6. The 2 playoff comebacks proved Purdy is clutch. He gets too much hate for a 24 yr old 2nd year QB.
Montana won his 1st SB at 26 in year 3...Young was 32 when he won his 1st ring...Purdy has the talent and time is on his side.
Just have to stay healthy. Sd that we didn't go all the way but anyone with eyes saw that Purdy did enough in the playoffs to get us the SB and some more hyped elements of the team (Coaching, ST and defense) didn't play at the level needed

Purdy embodies what every player in Franchise Mode for Madden wants to do with their late round picks, develop them into All-Pro players.
It is hard to remember that Brock Purdy is a second year QB coming off rehab from a season ending injury. He has tremendous courage, continuing to process downfield and throwing when defenders are close and coming fast. An extremely accurate passer, he is going to be great.

This is Brock's first season as a starter and he made it to the Super Bowl. He didn't win it with the Niners. But with a player of his caliber now with that SB chip on his shoulder you know he's just going to get better and dial up his game that much more in the coming seasons. So long as the Niners keep their Offensive and Defensive core, Purdy will bring the Bay Area a Super Bowl within the next few years. Guaranteed.
Always have to trust this kid for every single talent that he has in common. And will continue his career with a true success moving forward and will win a first ever Super Bowl title for us Red and Gold.🙌🏻🙌🏻💯💯
People can say what they want about Purdy. In his (real) 1st full season as a starter, he only took Mahomes to OT in the SB. No big deal though, he just "managed" to get there and do that. Almost made the SB the year before only starting 7-8 games cuz of injury
I think the dumbest narrative about Purdy is that he's not very athletic, but he can occasionally scramble.

Your gonna tell me this kid is a " Game Manager " ? It his 2nd year for God's Sake. Some of those throws were " surgical ". Time & more experience...Brock is going to grow into an outstanding QB. This guy is light years ahead of so many QB's in the NFL at this stage of his career. The BEST is coming !

Someone needs to talk Brock into a Vicis helmet. With all the scrambling and pressure he takes from the mediocre O line…. We’re lucky he has that short area quickness..
After just about 2 decades, the offense has found their quarterback. Makes you even more thankful for the Montana to Young to Garcia transition. (And even having Bono and Grbac around for a few games here and there as they were better than any of the qb's we've had around in recent years)
