Don't want or need Aiyuk, Pickens is better and if they sign Aiyuk to 25mil then they won't give Pickens the bag next yr. I'd rather have Pickens, also keep the draft picks and take O-lineman
Exactly….Steelers will not pay that dude the contract he wants before paying their own, on top of giving up draft capital. That’s just not how they operate, even with Omar and Andy.
The 49ers are already in the early struggle to re-sign him. People in his orbit throwing social media darts. Drafting a WR will avoid drama AND save cap space.
Pickens has the potential of being better but right NOW he's not. Omar has proven that he can make it work if in fact he trades for Aiyuk so this would definitely make the Steelers lethal at the wr position.
Pickens is no way in hell better than Aiyuk...that's jus crazy!!!!!
Aiyuck is good but Pickens is more of a big play down the field 80yd bomb kinda dude. 1 play TD type WR. I'd rather keep Pickens.
Aiyuk is playing around he's not coming to Pittsburgh. He's trying to get a better contract from the 49ers.

This team's bread & butter is finding WR talent in the draft. Absolutely do not trade the farm for Aiyuk or overthink things, imo. Paint the barn red- get a tackle, c, cb, or wr in the first 2 rounds. Easy.
Absolutely spot on. Dan Moore should be a guard.
However, the team is invested in the position already!

Matt, what is your opinion on Van Pran as a Center candidate for the Steelers to draft rather than one of the big three? I've read some very positive evals on him overall.
I thought Simmons signed back with the Giants on April 7th???
If they move moore, or draft a RT , then jones moves to LT and draft a center thats 3 moves on the o line. Is that too much change in one off season to overcome ?

You people have GOT to stop with Aiyuk. We aren't giving up what the 9ers would want and we can't afford him.
If we don't take a corner in the first round then we better try to sign Simmons...or both!! we have been giving up 40+ every playoff game !!!
Here’s the answer to the Dan Moore question. Let him stay there for his last year. It’s one more year. We fill the void at center and compete this year addressing other positions in the draft. Next year we get a starter capable right tackle.
Why are the Steelers catering to Dan Moore? Move him and if can't do it cut him... didnt they learn from their mistake at RG...

What about a trade for CeeDee Lamb Jerry Jones let Amari Cooper walk, and now he's in Cleveland looking like a stud, Why is CeeDee off the table? He would be an AMAZING addition if they are going to shoot their shot at a top receiver to pair with pickens. Just a thought.
I like Aiyuk, but why give up draft piks n then pay him alot of coins💰💵 ,then have to pay pickens in a yr or 2.when you can draft BRIAN THOMAS JR.who played the 2nd wr last yr n got a 1000 yrds receiving n would be on a rookie contract.
This team isnt going anywhere no investment in offense. Maybe if they sign brandon a legit number 1 wr. Then draft a center ready to play that could change. Spending more money on defense is idiotic an been done for years. It doesnt work you need a complete team. Drafting a wr that may be good in three years is dumb.
If SF has rights to Aiyuk, and they would trade him for a rookie. Why would Pittsburgh want the trash, and not the rookie the team seeks. Brian Thomas Jr is better than Aiyuk.

Too much rides on this decision. We don't need him as much as I like his play he's not a good fit for Arthur Smith's book. He's set up where he's at with shans book so it would be dumb to leave Francisco
