I really want Ricky Pearsall in the 2nd round. Also I really really want Luke McCaffrey later in the draft. I think a WR core of Pickens, Pearsall, and McCaffrey could be dangerous!!
Absolutely love TJ Tampa. I don’t think people are talking about him enough.
awesome stuff Matt!
Thanks Matt. Close the Corners and fill in the slot. This has a good feel to it. Great show Matt
I’m really high on Jermaine Burton, but I don’t think it happens. Also, 2 sleepers this year are Hunter Nourzad and Cedric Gray. Talk about potential.
I could see Nourzad for sure
I think Nourzad has potential but I like Bortolini even more. He’s just an athletic freak with decent size. Although Nourzad ain’t so bad himself. It just goes to show that there are some later round options even if they may not be as plug and play as the top guys.
Burton’s got character red flags. His issues with coaches and coachable are well documented. He also punched a girl in the face so there’s that. I would imagine he’s off their draft board.
Bortolini has below average length and that struggles to anchor. Thats a pretty bad combination. Im not suggesting he doesn’t have potential but he got absolutely smoked more than a few times at the senior bowl. Lineman with short arms need to have excellent technique. There’s a reason why he’s projected to go day 3 despite being a great athlete weighing over 300lbs. Linderbaum didnt get drafted in the 1st round because how how athletic he was or what his combine numbers said. His technique/fundamentals, football IQ and his understanding of leverage were as polished as any offensive lineman you’ll ever see. Nourzad has excellent length and size for a center ( 34inch arms, 317lbs) while still possessing adequate movement skills. That kind of size and length can help a young lineman get on the field and be a quality contributor while he refines technique. What’s also very attractive about Nourzad imo is not only his versatility but, he was a very good starter at 3 different positions- Star RT at Cornell, moved to LG after transferring to Penn state then Center this year. Aside from a few spot starts over his 5 years career, he has never been a center before last season. Then he had a great week at the shrine bowl, Now he’s likely going to get drafted somewhere between the 3rd and 5th. Thats a guy who plays good ball every where he goes at every position the coaches asked of him. Thats the kind of guy you want in the middle rounds. If you aren’t high on a prospect pre combine then his testing numbers shouldn’t change that. Film never lies.
Just watched a ton of highlights. Burton. Stud.
Jaylen's gonna be around awhile at RB#2 awhile since he's limited to 10-14 touches per game
After a hundred mock drafts I did, trading up from our 2nd to Arizona 27th. We could get Mims, Barton and Leggette or Pearsall. Not trading will get us Frazier in the 2nd round instead of Barton. Top 5 tackle is available at 20 every time.
Clemson's Trotter should be a target I'm hoping. 4th/5th round
Crazy receiver? Steeler specialty.
Can't ever have too many outside CBs
Matt...please send this list to the STEELERS..lol...I like the TEXAS DT SWEAT...his recent lack of judgment...I feel ..works in our favor
What do you think of Javon Bullard?
Mat how do we address our needs but still get COOPER? Is it possible?
Ray Davis!!!!
Please for the LOVE of all that is HOLY fix the OFFENSIVE LINE to give the new OC & QBs a chance...DRAFT an OL/RT & C!!!
Doubt they actually draft any of these guys, but interesting fits
since i think the steelers wont give fields a chance and will lose him? rattler would be a great get
I am a sc gamecock fan stay away from Spencer rattlesnake
Agreed!
Rattler a 7th round pick or a free agent arm for training camp.
I would like to get him as well although I think he is probably gone in the 4th round and doesn’t make it anywhere close to the 7th. And as a side the Steelers don’t have a 7th round pick but they have 2 sixths I believe.
Did I hear Steelers need to be open to drafting next year's RB2? Dang that stings. Found a gold nugget and didn't even get to keep it...
I’m a huge fan of rattler, the dude could have crumbled after being benched at OK. Instead he maintained his composure and worked even harder. He has the biggest chip on his shoulder out of all of these guys. I hope they get him.
Dirt Dawson played guard at Kentucky. So, yeah, Kendrick Greene was just a bad pick all around. He wasn’t even a great guard in college.
If they bring in Rattler, they'll have 4 QBs not as good as Rudolph. Way to go Tomlin.
So are you saying Russel Wilson is not better than Rudolph 😂 I’m Mason guy but dude you gotta relax with that take
