      If 8bitdo ever releases a controller in the shape of an xbox controller, with the offset analogs and all that, I would buy it in a flash! Basically an Xbox controller with 8bitdo's d-pad, face buttons, gyro/motion controls and compatibility with different systems would be the PERFECT controller for me. I've been using Xbox controllers for some time, but I can't stand the d-pad for movement and I don't really like how the face buttons are small and rounded, and 8bitdo literally fixes these two issues I have with it while still adding gyro/motion, customizations and all that.

      Well i ll tell you Johan, i bought a 25 dollar sn30 pro usb controller for the switch. I decided to give it a try, and 8 months later it still works perfectly. I just won a smash ultimate tournament a dew days ago with that same controller, which is in my opinion one of the best controllers ive ever used. And as ive been gaming since before 80', i think that says it all. Its a damn well built, and designed controller that's good for any game. @Jerkfat I recently got a switch pro for testing and whilst I have some comparative gripes against the 8bitdo pro 2, I stand by my comment regarding the D-pad. The switch pro is actually a better controller in a few other ways, as far as using it for the switch. Not by a huge margin but the switch pro has superior feeling thumbsticks, triggers and gyro. So it really depends on what you're going to play mostly. But it's very off putting when spending money that a device is known for having issues

It was so bad that I had to return it. Fighting games are completely unplayable with this thing, same with 2d platformers. The greatest Flop on 8bitdo, both pro and pro2, is that input delay is too high.
    It's 14ms over USB. 33ms (!!!!) over bt. For reference, ds4 is only 1.5 ms over bt.
    This is caused by the very high polling rate that 8bitdo set by default. How can a controller be good updating only 30 times a second? Worse controller in the market...

    • @tamodolo
      @tamodolo 2 года назад

      @@vitoriamaya8184 Eu tenho o SN30 pro+. Comprei justamente por toda essa propaganda positiva que fazem dele além de querer algo mais universal para usar com o PC e com o Switch. Realmente a ergonomia dele é excelente e ele parecia perfeito. No final eu não consigo usar o controle pois adiciona muito no input lag geral do meu setup.
      Para ver o input delay vc precisa de algum programa que informe o polling rate do hardware conectado. O input delay é uma conta simples: 1000 (milisegundos) dividido pelo polling rate (que é dado em Hz). USB via cabo geralmente é 280 Hz que dá um input delay de cerca de 3,6 ms (o SN30 pro+ funciona em 67 Hz via USB e 30 Hz via bt). Um bom bt vai permitir conexões em 500 Hz (O DS4 faz conexão de 500 Hz via bt. É o mais rápido no mercado) e um excelente será estável em 1000 Hz. Porém essa solicitação é feita pelo hardware conectado. Uma atualização de firmware resolveria o problema nos controles da 8bitdo porém nunca fizeram mesmo comigo abrindo vários chamados ao suporte deles fornecendo provas do problema.
      O jeito mais fácil de ver o input delay desse controle no PC é conectando ele no modo switch e deixando que o DS4Win (o do github) tome conta dele. Dentro das configurações (onde mostra os acelerômetros) há um campo informando o input delay em tempo real. Ele é capaz de informar tanto via bt quanto via usb. De forma alternativa tem um programa que lê o polling rate de coisas conectadas via USB (acho que era mouse polling rate ou algum nome similar) além de um que é especifico para controles Xinput.
      Sobre o PRO2, um youtuber uma vez me respondeu esse dado nos comentários. O problema é presente na mesma intensidade.

      @vitoriamaya8184 2 года назад

      @@tamodolo sim, no pc é complicado porque basicamente qualquer controle que não seja o do xbox tem delay, porque o do xbox é nativo, mas e no switch, o delay se mantém?

    • @tamodolo
      @tamodolo 2 года назад

      @@vitoriamaya8184 Na verdade o controle do Xbox é cerca de 7 ms de input delay. Todos os controles que mencionei são nativos no PC incluindo o DS4 que obedece a especificação Dinput por padrão. Os jogos de PC conseguem utilizar todos os recursos do DS4 se forem programados para isso já que essas funcionalidades estão expostas ao PC também. É por isso que o Steam consegue usar o DS4 e fazer os jogos entenderem ele. The Witcher 3 por exemplo vc pode usar o DS4 diretamente e até a lâmpada dele vai funcionar.
      Medir o input delay no Switch é mais complicado. Depende de homebrew e eu não sei se existe algum que faça isso. Como o polling rate é solicitado pelo hw que conecta, assume-se que no switch ele será o mesmo. O que de fato dá pra sentir é que o SN30 pro+ responde mais devagar que os joycons.
      Eu vi no changelog do mission control (um homebrew pra vc conectar qqr controle no switch) que eles diminuíram o polling rate padrão do DS4 de 1000 Hz (!!!!) para 125 Hz no fim de atingir paridade com o pro controller oficial. Dizem que isso estava degradando a velocidade do wifi. Esse controle do polling rate é possível definir e modificar se vc tiver o software adequado porém acaba sendo um tipo de overclock no hw conectado e isso per se pode causar outros problemas. Pensando agora, pode valer a pena tentar conectar o SN30 usando o mission control e ver se é possível mexer no polling rate. Mas é muito longe do ideal...

    • @tamodolo
      @tamodolo 2 года назад
