Found your videos before our trip and they were helpful. We just spent 2 weeks in the Dolomites, it was spectacular. I can see why you would want to live part time in Italy.

Great video! I’m from Italy and when she said that the butter didn’t come in stick of 4 had me gigle 😂. A suggestion, for the Macelleria you can tell “bella spessa” for the thickness, or I sometimes tell the centimeter for it, like “un paio di centimetri” and usualy they show you before the cut.

As a veteran of going to Italy, I find your videos interesting. One reason Italians don't tip is there is a service fee included on the check. And along the same line, there are restaurants that will charge a Table cloth fee. Finally your point about Bancomat, is very good. I will have to remember that, for the next time I go. Question, Would I be able to withdraw from my Checking account???

In my experience, if you can withdraw using it in the US, you can use it in Italy, but you might want to check with your bank.

Bologna is fairly flat all over, as I recall. Rome and Naples have some hills. Vertigo should be a problem as long as you don’t visit any towers!

A friend and I are planning to Italy for 5-6 weeks in late April / May 2025
We want to stay in different areas for at least 5 days to a week. Wondering if you have any A bnb or VRBO recommendations. We want to travel places by train. I'm living your videos and plan on following your packing advice.
We have both been to Italy for shorter tours. Thank you

    La mancia non è obbligatoria
Perché in Italia è il padone del locale che deve pagare i dipendenti.
Non sono i clienti che pagano i camerieri.😊
