OK SORRY, apparently the EU4 DLC isn't about that, maybe I'm confusing it with a VIC2 Mod?
It is apparently in vanilla Victoria 2 :)
it isnt a Vic2 mod, it's in the base game. eu4 ends in 1821 (i think)
Thank you for recognizing Taiwan
🇹🇼
I tought these videos were about places still seeking independance today?
”Taiwan, an independent state”
China: that’s illegal
Max Oddly, the Taiwan that this video talked about attempted to declare independence from Japan to rejoin China... unlike today
Taiwan and mainland China are actually in civil war. Right now, never stopped.
@@GavinLiuranium today, 20% Taiwan people support independence, 20% support unification, 60% just don't care....

That's odd... Wonder why he chose to start the video title with the word "Unrecognized" then....?
These countries were unofficial and unrecognized in the past.

Thank you for mentioning Alash Autonomy! At the end, almost all members of Alash were sent to GULAG.
But, but, but they got their very own Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic! (Within the USSR, of course, and ruled from Moscow, of course.) And it's not like they didn't try to re-populate the territory by forcibly moving "enemies of the people" there.
(I am being completely facetious of course. What the Soviets did those innocents sent to the GULAGs, and to all of their minority peoples in general was horrific and doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves.)
The main leaders weren’t sent to the camps, they were instantly shot without trial
I'm here to send them to gulag

Interesting thing related Formosa: in Brazil I had some maps with Formosa name instead of República da China or Taiwan. It was during the 70s, so I never questioned the naming. Dunno if it's a Portuguese thing.

A lot of people in the comment section are very misinformed. Republic of Formosa 「臺灣民主國」 its prusuit is to be reunited with China, it has nothing to do with the Taiwan independence movement today, even more, they are working very hard to cover this piece of history for their own political interests.
Dude don't even bother. The amount of misinformation on these "educational" RUclips channels is astronomical. Like for example, he said Hyderabad is in Pakistan, when it is in fact an Indian city. Christianity took more than 25 years to develop, unlike the Quran, written only a few years after Mohammad's death. It took perhaps a hundred or two hundred years for Christianity to become a thing. Jesus' followers were Jewish, as was he. They were Hebrew people, as was he.
The Kingdom of Israel had no connections to Europe. They were their own thing, conquered by forces from Mesopotamia. Ask a Secular Jew what he sees himself as first; Jewish by religion, or Jewish by ethnicity - he'll tell you Ethnicity.

I am a little bit confused about the term "Chinese" used in this video. In the video, Qing Dynasty is considered as a "Chinese State" but Mongolians are not. However, rulers of Qing Dynasty are Manchu people whose mother tongue is Manchu language instead of Chinese. Nowadays, Chinese Mongolians and Chinese Manchu are both considered as Chinese people.
