    • @HBC101TVStudios

      Technically the entire Cyprus is in Western Asia or to be specific, the Middle East. So both the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Republic of Cyprus are also in Asia too. Also the TRNC is only recognised by Turkey, making it the one of three limited recognised nations in (political) Europe along with Kosovo and South Ossetia. Cyprus is politically in Europe, but geographically in Asia.

      This isn't a unrecognised country, because it isn't a country. The only legal state on this island is Republic of Cyprus. They are independent citizens and they have their own government. On the other hand Northern Cyprus is part of Turkish Republic, after the Turkish invasion in 1974. Turkey found this pseudo-state and the Turkish government decides about their luck.

      @AlaniariSs7 4 года назад +3

      @@karmababy5077 Have they only financially support from Turkey? Hahaha very nice joke!
      Educationally? Medical?
      The pseudo-state of Northern Cyprus is heavily (almost completely) dependent on Turkey for economic, political and military support. In October 2013, CIA published "The CIA World Factbook 2014" and said "The Turkish Cypriots are heavily dependent on transfers from the Turkish Government. Ankara directly finances about one-third of the Turkish Cypriot "administration's" budget.". So how it's possible one state to be independent when another country directly finances the one-third of its administration budget? How it's possible one state to be independent when another country has 30-40k troops and state's officer's corps are drawn from this country?
      Due to Northern Cyprus's isolation and heavy reliance on Turkish support, Turkey has a high level of influence over the country's politics. That's why Northern Cyprus is an effective puppet state of Turkey!

    • @karmababy5077
      @karmababy5077 4 года назад +1

      @@AlaniariSs7It is financially dependent on Turkey because on an international embargo. The majority of Turkish Cypriots don't want any dependence on Turkey. In The Netherlands we have Friesland (Frysia) in the north with their own recognized language and Limburg (where I am from) in the south which also has their own language but that was recognized as a regional minority language. Of Frysia I don't know a lot, only that there is a East-Frysia in Germany and that they were descendants of the Frisii. Of Limburg however I know a bit more. The Duchy of Limburg wasa state of the Holy Roman Empire and was located in nowadays Liege (Belgium). Later they became part of the Burgundian Netherlands (one of the seventeen provinces). In 1793 French revolutionary troops occupied the land and terminated the duchy. From 1815 till 1830 Limburg belonged to Great Britain, then with the independence of Belgium it became part of Belgium and with the treaty of London singed by Willem I, Limburg was split in two between Belgium and The Netherlands. Untill 1866 Duchy Limburg was part of the German Confederation. The Netherlands was in the possesion of the Duchy of Limburg and with the second treaty of London it became a province of The Netherlands. The Limburgish language is spoken by over more than 2 million people today. In a Dutch newspaper of march this year (when Frysian was recognised as an official language and Limburgish as an regional minority language) it says that from data from a research 30% of the native Frysian speakers still speak the language at home, where 45% of the Limburgish speakers speak the language at home.

    DId not expected to see the "Monarquia do Norte"! After the Republican Revolution of 1910, that brought an almost 800 years Monarchy to its end in Portugal, Monarchist forces tried to bring down the Republic a couple of times. Exactly one year after the Revolution came to place the first attempt, then another one with some more intensity, all of them in the North. But the 1919 movement was the most significant one, and they didn't only took control of Porto, but almost the whole of the North (thus the Monarchy of the North, as it is commonly known). Remember that Portugal joined the Allied in World War One, then came the "Spanish Flu", our First Republic was a mess, so, fertile ground for revolts.
    Kingdom of "Traulitania" is a hilarious cool nickname. "Trauliteiros" and "traulitada" is a funny folksy way to refer to a hit, as in someone or something hitting another person or another thing. It seems that those who supported the coup liked to persuade others to join in or to not oppose, with a good pair of... "traulitadas". 😆

      Dirk Eickholt Germany from 1919-1933 was not actually the Weimar Republic. What I mean by this is that, “Weimar Republic” was the common unofficial name for Germany at that time. The official name of Germany at that time was the German Reich. Plus there wasn’t a different flag. Do you mean the C-Pennant? Germany was still united at that time, and it was a different regime from the nationalsozialist and imperial ones, so wouldn’t it still have the same German flag?
