Cool Video, thanks. I have also to change to oil seal behind the dual mass flywheel. Do you know the thghtening torque for the screws? Another question, how do i know if i need a 235mm or the bigger clutch? Im getting both offered via online parts shops. Thanks
Thanks, I'm not sure about the torque spec. I couldn't find any info online so I ended up just guessing and tightening things to what felt right. I was offered 2 different sizes of disc, I guessed at the bigger one (cheaper one) and ordered that but when I got the old disc out I saw I needed the smaller one! You might be best to contact toyota with your vin number, they should be able to tell you. I don't think Toyota share much info with parts shops.
Alright..thanks.its interesting. I searched via VIN. When i zake the original clutch disc number, i get a 235mm clutch. When i take the original pressure plate number, i get a clutch set with 240mm. I guess i have to order both and sens then one back. Anyway, thanks again for your great video
Thank you for your patience recording, explaining and sharing the video.
Thank you for your kind comment. Even if it only helps 1 person then it has been worth the effort 😊
well done that man, nice job
is it necessary to drain out the transmission oil?
Maybe you could do it without draining, but it could get messy once you pull the propshaft out. I always change the oil when I do a clutch anyway.
How much is this car
