Jazz fusion (also known as fusion) is a musical genre that developed in the late 1960s when musicians combined jazz harmony and improvisation with rock music, funk, and rhythm and blues. That's the Webster's definition for it.
🎵 save tonight and fight the break of dawn. Come tomorrow. Tomorrow I’ll be gone🎵. Great song! Heard first on the radio few years back. Stuck with since. #nostalgia LOL
He is Swedish and his first name is Eagle-Eye and Cherry is his last name/surname. The song was released in 1997 and back then it was a huge major best selling hit. It was played all over, on all radio station etc.
Great song from the late 90s..few folks know that Eagle Eyed Cherry was the brother of Neah Cherry who had the big hit Buffalo Stance in 1989. And their dad was jazz legend Don Cherry....
For me, this song always evoked the image of a soldier about to deploy, spending one last night with his wife, or otherwise. Trying to save tonight, fighting the break of dawn, for come tomorrow, tomorrow he'll be gone.
Loved this always! Trivia- his sister is Neneh Cherry, of 80’s Buffalo Stance fame... very cool sibs! This reminds me of Jamiroquai’s Virtual Insanity , which u did already.. loved that too
Eagle Eye is Neneh Cherry's brother,. Neneh had a few hits too, most notably " Buffalo Stance." and got her start in punk bands. Eagle eye is from Stockholm Sweden, and is Choctaw Indian and African decent. The whole family are musicians and actors, with their dad, Don Cherry being a Jazz musician.
Lot's of time I know these trivial things by heart, from reading so much and listening to so much, but sometimes, like this one, I looked up just before I posted. lol
I have so many memories with this song... from driving my own car to school for the first time... to driving the 6 hrs from college to go home to my husband jamming it with tears in my eyes ten years ago. It gives a deep emotional reaction every time I hear it. Times gone, memories unrealized at the time... blah blah sad.
Anyone who loves this song fits in everywhere. That might be a reason. Anyhow, Mr Eagle-Eye is a brilliant performer and I suspect we kind of took his message a bit lightly. So, please, a bit of fucking respect to Mr Eagle-Eye and a bit of shame to the rest of us.
It just popped into my head after all this time for some odd reason, but please do Bittersweet Symphony by the Verve. The official vid, if possible. Great song with a sad story behind it, and, personally, I find the vid absolutely hilarious for some reason.
wheresatari I love that song .. u still hear it all the time.. but now the only thing I can think about is how they lost ALL royalties for it to The Rolling Stones 🙁
@@naomifigueroa1428 Indeed. I'd heard it a million times before, but the first time I actually 'heard' it was at the end of the movie Cruel Intentions.
Yeah, that royalties lost kinda sunk the band, if I remember rightly. =( Bittersweet Symphony is a song that hasn't left my playlists in the last 20 years. I fell in love with it the first time I heard it, and when I really desperately need an anchor, I drown out the world to just that on repeat for a few hours.
I have this in my CD changer in my car right now. lol, yeah I'm old, with the 10 disc CD changer and cassette player / removable head unit, in my 95' Mustang GT convertible. lol Oh, also on that CS, is Mazzy Star, " Fade Into You," which you really need to do. Hope Sandoval is one of the most beautiful and alluring women of any age, with the voice of an angel.
Charles B. Love Mazzy Star! So Tonight That I Might See is fantastic! She has an amazing voice that puts you in a trance~ it's so emotive, pure yet seductive. Gorgeous. Natalie Merchant's voice also has that unique quality. I adored 10 000 Maniacs and her solo stuff. Tigerlily had so many wonderful songs on it. Love Eagle Eye, too... Love the 90s, PERIOD.. From 90-99, there was music I loved that I'll listen to forever. Especially the early-mid 90s! One of my favourite decades for music.
Eagle-Eye's father was Don Cherry (and as other's have mentioned, Neneh Cherry is his sister). I've always liked this song. Interesting video (incidentally, if you like the style of this video, check out Lucas' "Lucas With The Lid Off"...if you haven't already...), but I've just liked the song. At least to me, it's about one of those timeless moments you spend with someone special. Obviously from the man's point of view. Which brings me to another point. I've always thought that the feminine side of the story was covered (more beautifully, imho) by Cyndi Lauper's, "All Through The Night". Lyrically, it's a better song, and even musically....again in my opinion... But I've always thought those two songs voiced the same sentiment, from two different viewpoints... Carry on, sir!
Awwwweee! My young 20’s hole in the wall bars after hours bars dancing dancing dancing. My first true love and being young and free!! Save tonight fight the break of dawn. Save tonight tomorrow I’ll be gone! Love this!! Oo oo oo do his sister Nena Cherry Buffalo Stance and the leather jacket he’s wearing was his favorite and it was stolen on this video shoot🥺 it’s the last time he wore it
More trivia. He has another sister - Titiyo, who is/was pretty popular in Sweden and had some international success. Especially with the song "Come Along".
Oh yeah one of my favorite album's from the 90's.... this guy can really rock it out...memories of long summer days and nights my kids were little and we were just enjoying life...can't wait...♡
I guess someone pick this because of a swedish man who is the brother of the famous Neneh Cherry and what you like to hear: HE IS BLACK. Joke beside, this was a great hit in ... there where I come from. Every Club/Disco has played this song.
First time I heard this was over the speakers in FYE. I stalked the radio to hear it after that. Back in the day when you hoped so bad that they would say the name of the song and band after it played because there was no searching lyrics online. Can't think of something now and all we have to do is hit the internet. I would have been in trouble because I was already obsessed with certain bands without having thousands of pictures and info at my fingertips. Music reminds me of a certain time in my life and this makes me think of Chumbawamba's Tubthumper. Radio playing as I'm trying to go to sleep and it would come on immediately getting me amped.
@Modern Renaissance Man IDK if you'll ever see this but since you are a God fearing man as well and do videos like these then I suggest you check out the band Seckond Chaynce i know they will have a lot of songs you will like! God bless. :)
A favorite. Never seen the video and found it entertaining. Not much of a talker so I'm always playing music in the car and this is a song wife and I will sing together!
I first heard this song then o heard smashmouths song called walking on the sun. I always somehow always remembered it because of the second song was just as odd and catchy
Please react to Humble Pie--30 days in the hole ruclips.net/video/sdXjm8pZMws/видео.html and Creedence clearwater revival -Fortunate Son ruclips.net/video/sTPh95BBg8o/видео.html and Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird - 7/2/1977 - Oakland Coliseum Stadium (Official) ruclips.net/video/QxIWDmmqZzY/видео.html I have a feeling all the songs I request are so long they won't work well for reactions but they are awesome songs and deserve reactions imo.
Absolutely LOVE THIS SONG!!!!! I sure miss the 90s yall..lol
Long live the 90's!
The son of the late Don Cherry. Famous jazz trumpeter in the fusion genre.
Thank you for the info. What's the fusion genre?
Jazz fusion (also known as fusion) is a musical genre that developed in the late 1960s when musicians combined jazz harmony and improvisation with rock music, funk, and rhythm and blues. That's the Webster's definition for it.
This was soooo much a part of my childhood in the 90s. You couldn’t escape it.
Innocent 90s
To me, it's like meeting a girl on vacation, hitting it off really good, and savoring your last night together.
I absolutely loved this song when it was released.
The video was made in Stockholm, Sweden in a street called Skånegatan
I remember watching this on MTV when I was in high school. Always liked the song.
🎵 save tonight and fight the break of dawn. Come tomorrow. Tomorrow I’ll be gone🎵. Great song! Heard first on the radio few years back. Stuck with since. #nostalgia LOL
violet hughes I was going to the same thing lol
Wendy Dotson 😂 haha smart minds think alike ☺️
God, I miss the music of the 90's.
Sang along with it, remember this song well from the radio.
He is Swedish and his first name is Eagle-Eye and Cherry is his last name/surname. The song was released in 1997 and back then it was a huge major best selling hit. It was played all over, on all radio station etc.
This music video was also shot in Sweden, I learnt that not too long ago and it blew my mind lol
Great song from the late 90s..few folks know that Eagle Eyed Cherry was the brother of Neah Cherry who had the big hit Buffalo Stance in 1989. And their dad was jazz legend Don Cherry....
one of my all-time favorite songs.
For me, this song always evoked the image of a soldier about to deploy, spending one last night with his wife, or otherwise. Trying to save tonight, fighting the break of dawn, for come tomorrow, tomorrow he'll be gone.
I grew up with this song in the late 90's.
Loved this always! Trivia- his sister is Neneh Cherry, of 80’s Buffalo Stance fame... very cool sibs! This reminds me of Jamiroquai’s Virtual Insanity , which u did already.. loved that too
Oh wow..never knew that but i can see the resemblance now..thanks for info
Her daughter's now in the business as well.

One of the catchiest songs of all the 90s...
Love this song! his sister is Neneh Cherry who sang ''Buffalo Stance'' in the 80s his dad is Don Cherry.
I had the Album with Buffalo Stance!
Always loved this song, very catchy tune. No way you won't sing to it when it comes on.

He's Neneh Cherry's younger brother FYI. This was a big hit in Europe !
I like this song, have heard it so often on the radio. Watching this reaction while having my meal break at work so thanks for that uplifting beat.
Never heard this song but liked it.😇😍

His half-sister Neneh had a hit song in the 80s called Buffalo Stance that I love. And his dad, Don, was a very prominent jazz trumpeter.
Still know all the words. 90s radio was awesome ❤
"No one ever listens to this part," lol well I do... sometimes :)
His sister Neneh Cherry has a good song "Buddy-X"
I had forgotten about that song. I always liked it.
Thank you for this.I had actually forgotten Eagle eye cherry existed.
Good filmclip. Definitely is meant to say that he see's himself in other peoples problems
I haven't heard this song in SO long. I remembered every word of the song, but the video.
He's made two albums which did well but then disappeared from the spotlight... Shame I think he was talented !
I didn't recognize it until i heard it then I'm like I know this song. I haven't kept up well with new music as much as i should.
Great tune X
I guess someone pick this because of a swedish man who is the brother of the famous Neneh Cherry and what you like to hear: HE IS BLACK.
Joke beside, this was a great hit in ... there where I come from. Every Club/Disco has played this song.
reminds me of listening to the radio to find songs i like
My dad wore the same kind of hat
His given name IS Eagle-Eye. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eagle-Eye_Cherry?wprov=sfti1
For having only 4 chords it's a pretty catchy song.
First time I heard this was over the speakers in FYE. I stalked the radio to hear it after that. This reminds me of deployment. Saying goodbye to the woman I love and leaving her in Jody's willing hands.

Know the song well but...never, ever saw the video! Liking it all over again! 🎶😉🎶
A favorite. Never seen the video and found it entertaining. Not much of a talker so I'm always playing music in the car and this is a song wife and I will sing together!

Brisbane ad campaign from like 15 years ago.
His birth name is Eagle-Eye Lanoo Cherry.
Good song, but his sister Nenah Cherry had a hit called Buffalo Stance. It’s awesome
Loved this song from the 90s. 💗
YOU MUST REACT TO NENEH CHERRY's BUFFALO STANCE from a decade prior to this video. She is his sister or half sister.
With end of blissfully 90s, music died ....what we now have is cheapskates in Music industry
Nice Request!
This was released in 1997, am I right? Goodness, I'm a child again now 😄 I still love this song (and Eagle-Eye too!!)
I totally forgot how GOOD the video is
This is one of my old favorites 💓
If Eagle Eye Cherry and Neneh Cherry had a baby, what’d they name it? I think I’d go with Cheery Cherry or.... Cherub Cherry
Dude they're siblings not married she's his step sister.
Love these guys.
i still have the guitar mag with the tabs for this song lol
I agree with you about the tune. It is catchy. I think that's why I liked it so much
Find it very strange that you didn't like this. Did you hear the lyrics at all? I'm baffled
The 90s isnt for everyone haha
Do Buffalo stance by his sister Neneh Cherry!
Doesn't Neneh Cherry's have a sister who is also a pornstar. She can also sing, I think she dated Kid Rock back in the 90's.
I first heard this song then o heard smashmouths song called walking on the sun. I always somehow always remembered it because of the second song was just as odd and catchy
always liked this song
I just thought that was the band name but no that's the guys name
I know this song but I've never seen the video.
Eagle Eye is his real actual name
