Zero Turn trans - Fix, Rebuild, or New?

replacing the Hydro gear transaxle on my cub cadet zero turn lawn mower. is it worth trying to fix a transmission, the cost to rebuild or just replace, john deere, snapper, Husqvarna, xmark troy built

Wow, you tapped into exactly what I was planning to do. I was planning on sanding those surfaces, etc. I guess I'll get the new transmissions.

The problem is you, never sand the pump/motor blocks, only "polish" the centers with 2500 grit sand paper.. You have to be perfectly flat with the sanding. I suggest using the best sanding sponge you can find.. Works like a charm. If there's scoring on the block, just buy new centers.
