We filmed that video probably a month ago and I was with Laurence and Phil last week and the seal is still good no leaks. Now there’s yur din din!
I know Terrel doesn't answer these, but if someone has a repore with him, if the seal keeps failing, file a complaint under the Lemon law.

I would have done whatever it took to remove all the oil from the seal bore,smeared some silicone on the bore and the outside of the new seal before installing it. Obviously the bore was machined oversize.

Ok, there’s a slight resemblance to Nikki Sixx there Taryl, just sayin’.
If that machine was mine, I would have drilled a big hole to make it easier to add oil . Ariens should have made a hole just for that reason. Cheap is all the manufacturer think about

Taryl, in aviation & marine applications we’ve used Loctite 1525607 Aviation Gasket Sealant on shaft & linkage seals that don’t seat snugly in the casing. In your latest situation you’d tip the machine to stop the lube from draining and apply the sealant to both the outside surface of the seal and the mating surface of the transmission case.
Loved it! As a fan of Taryl (and company), Metallica, and Battery, this was a lot of fun. Those guys from Battery were naturals in your skit and I got a good laugh out of it. Perhaps you could bring them back for another skit? I bet the Bass player could throw Uncle Andy into the next county, LOL! 🤘🤘

How to fill, put machine on its side,
Unless they are proprietary seals usually have an identification number on them, or they will have three two digit numbers molded into the face of the seal. The numbers indicate the ID, OD and width of the seal. Armed with that info any decent bearing house can order them individually.
