Doc doesn't actually own Joe's wood permit, he only has a contract to have exclusive rights to it. So in terms of voting rights, Joe would be the tie breaker.

Just turn Iskall's old house into Big Salmon headquarters. If you place a conduit under the house, you'll be able to stand in it without drowning and since there's already salmon in the house, it makes perfect sense.

I love that Beef and Skizz have ended up with all the colourful woods while Doc has all the more bland similar colours.
It kinda reflects the corporate nature of Doc in this situation and his desire to monopolise on wood, only to meet resistance with the permit holders of the more unique colours.
Big Salmon in control of all the red / pink colored woods is the perfect touch for this business partnership.
Yeah, but the plain colors are what most people prefer to build with most of the time. He's in a much stronger position here.

I love that doc is finally interacting with other hermits without it being a war, he is graduating from being a 20th century supervillain (a dictator) to a 21th century supervillain (a billionair)

I didn't used to watch Beef, but Big Salmon has me *hooked*! The outraged yell "It's Skizz's and it's beautiful!!" just sent me. I can't handle how funny every interaction is
Trees mainly grow taller to compete for sunlight. Since your apple tree is by itself it makes sense the branches would stay low. Loving the content!
Also, any taller and you won’t realistically be able to pick the apples. Beef has it at the perfect height
The sense of betrayal from Impulse when he encouraged you to “possession is 9/10ths of the law” a horse, but then chose to “do the right thing and come back later” was palpable.
Love how Doc neglected to mention that Joe holds one of those 3 deeds and has just given him permission to sell on his behalf.

This would not bother Doc at all. He doesn't care who shovels the sand, he just wants someone on the server to shovel enough of it to get as frustrated as he did last season with his perimeter decorations. He wants a few more people to experience that pain so that he'll have a few more allies in his attempts to get the server to accept sand duping the same way they accept tnt duping (at least until Mojang adds a source of renewable sand).

@@FyrefryeThe server doesn’t generally accept TNT duping though, most of the other redstoners do builds with TNT but make the point to say they specifically don’t use a duper as it isn’t in keeping with the spirit of the game.

If everyone just buys it from Scar, *Scar* is the only hermit who feels the pain of collecting it. If the price it really high, everyone else will want to just get their own.

he's creating a meme of last season when the end portal sand duper was decommissioned because it was used to dupe dragon eggs. It has nothing to do with keeping sand rare cuz he doesn't even benefit from sand being rare. He's literally using sand payments to make a meme of obtaining sand by any means other than having to grind for it, now that end portal duping has been discouraged.
That's literally his entire content material -- "grinding" without having to manually grind. Making something rare has never been his agenda this season or in any of his recent seasons.
Yes, he could burn the sand to create an artificial demand, or to inflate scar's monopoly, but again -- that doesn't benefit him. but that was the point of my comment. to highlight the potential opportunities for content these coincidences bring to this season.
he has never said he wanted to convince other hermits that sand duping is better. you're assuming again. o_O You're inventing scenarios that have never happened, please direct me to the part of the doc's video which you claimed to have watched where he directly says he wants to convince the hermits to sand dupe.
I'm replying because everything all the other people have replied to you make sense and you're stuck in a loop trying to justify a misguided notion about why doc wants sand.
the hermits all agree on what is and what isn't "in the spirit of the game". especially considering that hermit permits are exclusive, and the spirit behind people working to interact to get the permits they want and be committed to maintaining those shops, sand duping is directly contrary to the spirit of this season. Every season has different goals and it's very obvious from how the hermits have approached this season that everyone has agreed that making the most of early game mechanics like horses and giving value to creative forms of interacting (the mail system), etc that discussions have already been made regarding what is and isn't in the spirit of the game. sand duping would literally make one hermit's permit useless. That is completely against the spirit of the entire season and scenario they are trying to create. there is no way sand duping will be encouraged at all. and it's unlikely that docm wanting sand as a payment is a bid to change that.
and again, your argument "if it costs a lot of sand to get wood products, they'll sand dupe". It would be a lot simpler, more fcontent and a lot more in the spirit of the season to just get the wood themselves or make a wood farm themselves than to sand dupe.
we can look forward to the shenanigans coming from the hermits without injecting agenda. especially if it's circularly illogical
I think you should lean into it. Build MORE houses. In different orientations. Some rotated 90 degrees, some rotated 180 degrees, some upside down, etc., each with their own color palette... perhaps one in netherrack?

Doc being a non-native English speaker is so funny, because you can never tell if jokes like "big wood" are intentional. I also love how luck resulted in the potential of an incredible storyline with a forced alliance between rivals.
And so, the unfriendliest wood shop in Hermitcraft begins.
Suggestion for the second house: make armour stand of yourself there and say that your twin lives in it.
Relocate the pink house within view of Iskall's place and convert the interior to be "The International Museum of Diorite Appreciation". Have all sorts of diorite sculpture and nonsense inside.
This season of Hermitcraft is exactly the perfect blend of story arches, friendship, drama, and just good old fashion, down home, Minecraft. Keep up the good work gentlemen.

Doc doesnt hold 60%, he only holds Mumbos and Zeds directly, Joe holds the last one. So there is the possibility of realigning Joe.

For the new house, I say tear it down, but leave part of the foundation and a bit of the chimney. Because, like, farms that have been around awhile have old buildings that get disused or torn down and re-purposed, but you can still seen where they were. Or something like that

May I suggest for the flower fields instead of having every block filled do rows of flowers 2 or 3 flowers wide then a block space. And replace the ground under them with a mix of dirts, it looks amazing.

Pink House Suggestion:
Keep the house but move it into a different location. "You're neighbor down the road" Maybe can be used as a façade for a minecraft farm or farms.
Put the pink house in the nether, build a simple farm around it with nether plants and nether animals, and connect the two farmhouses together with a portal. Inter-dimensional farming!

You should remove the pink house but use the resources to make a Big Salmon headquarters, where the interior is flooded but well-decorated, complete with conduit so you and Skizz can conspi--I mean, meet there.
My recommendation for the pink house is simple. Clear out all of the water, tear out one wall of the main structure, add some supportt pillars, and use it to store and maintain your tractors. The small side room can be used for tool storage. Of course, you'll need a sturdy beam up high, to install a chain hoist. Tractor engines are heavy. 🤠👍
I just love the fact Doc has the other log permits, what a scene! You could use the pink house as headquarters of Big Slamon or something, it has lot of salmon friends already.

Shop idea: Call the woodstore DRIFTWOOD LOGS. You can turn the inside into a nice sandy beach because Doc just loves his sand and the interior can tie in with the Big Salmon theme. If you really want to annoy Doc, LACHS is german for salmon, so there's a logs - lachs joke in there somewhere.
some funny bts of the horse bit with Impulse: Imp was livestreaming that and Beef only found out midway through the conversation. We were about 7k people watching Beef joke around about "stealing" and then he joke panicked and put the message to Keralis in chat to rectify it lmao

Pink house suggestion. Have the mailbox installed on the side of the house you can see from your front porch. Then have the inside of the house turned into a corner saloon, with upstairs rooms?
I remember co-watching impulse and joes streams the day you got that horse, my audio was perfectly balanced, you leave impulse- then you go up to Joe and scare me out of my seat because of how loud your audio was on joes stream compared to impulse’s (which makes twice so far this season Joe has jump scared me with his audio balancing)
You should agree to Doc's sand plan, but in return require him to do monthly business meetings.
Of course with a new trap prepared for him every time.
I have an idea that could work on doc's shop. If you would buy his entire stock of one wood type for example, you could call him out for not refiling wood supplies.
America here, someone I know bought a car never paid it off and stayed in another state to avoid repossession and then eventually the title got released or whatever and it was all good👍

I think impulse is talking about homesteading/squatters rights laws. Which as I recall is along the lines of if you are openly living on some land or in a house you do not own and are not renting for several years and the proper owner does not chase you out it becomes yours. Of course usually that set of laws is applied to a fence line or something similar. On the basis that the guy who is doing all the maintnence can just have it. And of course the reason those rules were made in the first place is because of land rushes.
Add a pond, and build iskalls' version upside down under yours as a reflection. Salmons need their house too!
The Springers are already coming up the Columbia, it's time for Big Salmon to make a move. Also remember, pink salmon is good too, so that house could shrink a bit to accommodate the mailbox whilst still honoring salmon.

Doc is building a new world eater. He hasn’t said much, but I feel like he’s secretly plotting world domination. Think about it. Back in Season 8, the Hermits began introducing storylines. This Season, Doc is calling it the ‘Rise Of the Hive-Mind’. I think the storyline this Season might be Doc taking over. If that’s true, I can’t wait to see it LMAO!
I spent a fall working in an apple orchard when I was in school. I will say that in orchards, the trees tend to be a bit squat and rounded. So your tree looks right to me.
To deal with iskall, maybe you could build a monolith, next to his, that is one block higher.
Edit: he seems amicable for the time being.
It occurs to me... if Doc keeps leveraging "I have three permits out of five, so I make the rules," there might be a way for Beef and Skizz to counteract that. In reality, Doc actually only owns *two* permits. He and JoeHills have a contractual agreement, but Joe retained ownership of his Oak/Birch permit. Presumably they are voting as a bloc at the moment, but if necessary, Big Salmon might be able to drive a wedge between Joe and Doc for the purpose of voting, causing Doc to lose his majority share in the Log Collective. Just a word to the wise, Beef ^_^

Beef you need to get a Kubota tractor. They might be expensive and orange but they are very reliable. You need a machine shed!
There's this guy from my hometown who had an albino spot that affects his upper eyelashes and eyebrow, which is who I was reminded of seeing Iskall without the eyebrow.
