@@Skibidy_rizzler_ I believe that's fanon; determination is never shown to be the red soul's defining trait in the original Undertale.
That said, it is however the most likely trait for it to be, and probably what this fangame will play as canon.

It's maybe disrepectful of Sans. But if we had been betrayed by someone like that, do we have a choice to do that when they did many terrible things to us. At least, this happened to me in many times, I still have veangence on someone but I didn't dare myself to do that, as I see it, it was they or me.

Bro first thing i was thinking was "holy crap, this is only ruins dust, and he's going all out" Like come on what the hell is going to happen in the last corridor
Also the scariest thing is that you can hear sans doing his durty work while you talk to toriel.
The only thing I would change is in the story is probably the whole "oh 'Gaster' is here so he can make Sans remember resets and such!!!" because in canon Undertale, the guy the fandom sees as "Gaster" is just a man in a gray room that vanishes when you interact with him. Flowey manipulating Sans would probably have fit better then doing the whole Gaster stuff all over again to be honest.
He isnt just the guy who disappears when interacted with, he had a past, and his followers say a lot abt him. He lives in the "void" or smth like that I forgot which would presumably be outside of undertales timelines and such, so when the human resets or smth he'd probably know watching from afar
@@BrokenLimits. But how exactly do we know the one the fandom THINKS is Gaster, is actually Gaster? There's no evidence that the Mystery Man in the Gray Room IS Gaster. Like who knows, maybe Gaster could be Redacted or River Person. Hell, maybe even a character we haven't even seen yet.
@@purple6528 We dont know. All we can do is guess, or have confirmation from toby or looking at his file name. I think it is gaster since toby hasnt denied it yet or anything

My only issue with this is that Sans just goes on a rampage when he could've taken a better approach and he for whatever reasons wants to collapse everything. Other than that, let's take a look at all the good aspects:
*Sans has a good reason to remember the Resets and Timelines from before.
*Sans does not have Determination randomly.
*Sans does not have the attacks of the people he killed.
*We got a new area to explore.
*The fight was absolutely amazing and actually challenging (I can also see why the karma was nerffed to not do 1 damage each frame)
*The theme was good.
*Sanses dialogue was unique and somewhat in character with Canon Sans tbh (except for wanting to collapse everything)
*Sans actually KNOWS about the Player and he knows that the Player is responsible.
Overall, 8/10 game, infintely better than that one other version where he has everyones powers (and it was hella easy). Really looking foward to the next part of the game.

Bro this is dusttale, ofc sans is going to kill every monster. By collapse, he’s just referring to the game name while also saying he wants to kill people. What other way would sans prepare for the genocide route? Sure I mean he could, but this would just be the most clear one.

Amazing game, following cannon dust where he is guilty, sans does hot have purple bones (though I wish they fixed the blasters) and his damage is good, the player and Chara are not overly edgy but more cannon and focused on seeing what happens till the end without doing the cliche "sans dies again" because tbh, sans is more powerful than you, you can just keep coming back. The player giving almost no reaction is also perfect, this feels more cannon than cannon Undertale in a sense with sans actually cracking jokes but being serious at the same time p

@@Underplaytale I feel like as strange as it is, it's genuinely plausible if gaster was like sick and tired of the timeline manipulation and decided to do it himself, even if sans did remember resets, he cannot remember true resets but the looks of it so this is an amazing wake up call for him to act up, but I still do agree that it's weird that sans in such a small place which is his home, gets lost 💀, better than the cliche sans constantly dying trend
Actually, the only way sans can become more powerful and determined than you is by taking human souls. But he doesn't know where are they, so he'll still die by the end. Don't forget, that his attack/defense don't go higher by leveling up.

geniunely such an amazing game, the music is good, the dialogue is on point and isn’t cheesy or overly edgy like other dusttale fangames, love the spritework done for this fangame aswell, to think this is just a demo too!

I really like this fangame. I just have one issue with it though- This take on dusttale might as well not be dusttale at all. Dusttale was intended for Sans to gain power in his own way, not an overused "gaster tells sans this" type of thing. Gaster is way too overused and he is never mentioned to even be able to even interact with the world whatsoever. Sans gained power his own way by remembering the resets and gaining determination from his urge to end the human and end his kind's suffering. and his goal was to outdetermine the human or whatever, not just kill everyone because he went "mad." There's no motive here for Sans killing monsters if he didn't mention determination or anything else to make the human give up. The story is just. meh. the game is really good though. At least they used canon murder!sans attacks unlike just attack stealing. fairly disconnected story, but very great execution and presentation in terms of attacks.

Тем более, санс всегда был одним из самых слабых монстров в подземелье, посему не удивительно, что последний не так хорош в массовых убийствах. Так же, не будем забывать про факт того, что это первый геноцид Санса, и было бы неправдоподобно, если б тот с первого раза пересилил человека в раз так двадцать.
Меня в свою очередь вымораживает факт того, насколько все фанаты undertale недооценивуют силу босс монстра. Коими являются Ториэль, Азгор и их сын. Настолько сильно, что оба сливаются от лишь пары косточек да сансовых бластеров.
@@tealover2871 справедливости ради, он в разы умнее нас, очевидно умеет строить стратегии хоть как-то, почти каждое убийство от него было предательским, его атаки довольно сильные, ведь игнорируют фреймы, он мог спокойно не сражаться с Андайн бессмертной, просто предательски её убив незаметно набрав уровень, его атаки довольно массовые, он имеет свободу в мире, в отличие от нас, и может получить доступ к тому, к чему у нас нету.
Да, он точно не сможет устроить успешный геноцид.

@@Savage_Elite799 In general, according to the canon, Sans literally cut out the dungeon even before the player got to the first monster, and as a result, the battle should be between the entrance to the ruins and the bridge built with Papyrus. So in the canon, the player has 1 lvl, and Sans has 20 lvl. It's a pity that no games, no animations are not made according to the canonical ask blog, everyone has amicably accepted that old shitty game about Dust

I only see 2 smallish issues with this:
The bone zone indicators kinda hard to read without memorization
Gaster giving sans the memories is kinda meh lore but better than many other takes so
Other then that this is one of my fav dusttale takes

I believe the dev could change this a bit. Sans is too confident for this part of the run. He is supposed to be very uncertain, like you've probably seen in the original game. Only after killing Papyrus, he got more certain.
