I told my general practitioner as well as a dermatologist that my dry eye was most likely related to the fact that I was going through menopause. I even said menopausal blepharitis, and both of them audibly admitted to me they had never heard of it. I explained to them about how the decrease in hormones could affect the glands in your eyes, etc, and they both literally said "Good to know" - and neither were able to help me. Now that I have even more information, I plan on making an appointment with my optometrist immediately. Incredibly informative, thank you so much!
This is so helpful, i have suffer with my eyes ive heen to the opticians, the hospital and my local doctor and ive been diagnosed with chronic dry eye, then it was diagnosed as blepharitis, then just dry eye again so i have felt let down by my docs they just gave me droos and that was it really , so frustrating because it feels like its worse than ever, constant build up in my eyes , constantly trying to clear them and so paranoid about how they look it effects my everyday life so much i no longer feel lime the person i used to be. It takes the fun out of putting make up on because as fast as i putbit on it is effecting my mental state because even if it isnt building up i am constantly thinking about it, wanting to go to the bathroom/ toilet/ rest room. Then the 2 times a day warm compressions and cleansing, so time consuming because the more i do it the more i feel like it accumalates, i feel like i could just massage and cleansw and its still never ending. But this was so informative and it obviously is more likely to be MGD which i have never heard of until i watched your video. Thankyou for putting this out .
It's important to know for sure what the issue is if you're experiencing symptoms, so scheduling an exam with your eye doctor is the best place to start.
