aphrodite fills a really weird slot in smite because as far as im aware she is the ONLY pure support god dont get me wrong there are a lot of gods who could count as supports because so many have support like abilities even gods like cupid and hades have abilities which will heal team-mates and they are deffinetly not suports but with aphrodite every single one of her abilities is supporty and to one specific ally god basicaly if you are playing with a friend aphrodite is amazing because she has such powerfull synergy with one specific ally but is weak as piss on her own or with randomers
I agree, and it is good that not only "pure" gods are taken into this game. There are even more, Hercules, for example, is a demigod, if I am not mistaken. So Medusa, Polyphemus or maybe even some Titans and whatsoever could be nice characters, although it is sometimes strange that all gods are equally tall, e.g. Ymir should be giant. That it is not possible to make it is both understandable and forgivable. :D
she does have good lane sustain along with aoe slow and damage on get back and a skill-shot stun on what seems a fairly low cd. her ult may be short duration but it's more of a clutch ability, depending on the damage and heal numbers as well as her cd's she seems pretty strong to me. also don't forget her passive which can be a huge lane sustain for gods with mana problems while laning, for a comprison in lol soraka can make a big difference with just her mana restoration capabilities in lane.
Anyone noticed she just recently got re-desgined ? I love the new in game model for her, its much sexier (which is befitting for the goddess of love and beauty). Before Athena was the hottest god in Smite followed by Nu Wa and Chang'e, now Aphrodite is up there as well, hopefully Freya gets a new sexier model too, without all the ugly tattoos running down her leg.

My message your you SMITE creators; Keep your characters how they are,If you changed any of the designs to ANY characters,Change them back to how YOU like them.Just because the players say "Uggh the designs are too sextist!" Then dont listen.YOU made them how YOU though they looked best. That is all from me.
Having switched over from League to SMITE, I find the community of SMITE much nicer, and the fact that just about every ability is a skill shot is pretty awesome. I'm still learning the minor intricacies of this game, since it is so much different than League, but honestly I'm pretty happy with it so far. It doesn't have too many gods to choose from yet (only about 40), but they're still releasing more. Plus, it's still in beta, so I'm kind of happy to see what all it's gonna give later
