    We really loved this car! The features and the drive is awesome. After breaking in the car after 600miles we noticed some vibration and we sent to the dealer to be checked, well with the long wait and they are all backed up we decided to have it check in a discount tire, and found the wheels were not balanced and have it fixed. Now no vibration felt!

    The Hybrid Limited is rather hard to find these days. I test drove a Blue Hybrid earlier today, and It seems Hyundai knocked it out of the park with this new model. I think I'm going to put in an order for a Hybrid Limited.

    I prefer the interior of the new Sportage to the Tucson. I like the exterior of the Tucson to the Sportage. Will wait until they are both available and compare them. Will likely boil down to whichever gives me the better deal.

    Dude, Good Luck with your New Tucson .... Very Good review. I'm "toying" with this Hybrid, the new Santa Fe HYbrid or a Honda CRV Hybrid. All of which would be the TOL models. It would replace my wife's current 2016 Honda CRV Touring (non Hybrid). One thing I will say, driving the CRV at 75ish on highways , I get about 27-28 MPG in ECO mode. 39K miles on the clock. Since I'm retired , 69 yo, my wife as well. The Hybrids are very appealing , AND these Hyundai's all have more Pep with Hybrids. I will say, I was a bit surprised at the $$$ at $43K !!

      Well, my 2 cents is the 2022 Tucson hybrid is outstanding overall and of great value. I have had it for 1 month now and I am quite impressed. Hyundai has really come a long way. The gas mileage is very good, the interior is serene, beautiful and very spacious. It is also surprisingly quick. I have to think the 0-60 is just above 7 seconds.

    only reason there is no wireless Carplay is licensing issue with the premium system in Hyundai/Kia. once the licensing is resolve Infinity/Bose/HK might be available with software update.

    Nice review. I have the same and agree with your assessment. Great vehicle with room for improvement. In addition to your miss-list (lack of USB-C & wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, and dust magnet piano black surfaces), I'll add a few others:
    - the horrendous and embarrassing artificial sound when in Reverse that emanates from the front of the car.
    - Memory Seat buttons that don't control the outside mirrors.
    - No spare tire.
    - No sunglasses holder.
    - Firmware Updates are not over the air, only USB.
    The list of positives more than supersede the dings on this vehicle. Hopefully, Hyundai can improve on what is almost a perfect midsize SUV.
    By the way, what app were you using to measure your 0-60 times?

    • @cannibalrider0202
      @cannibalrider0202  3 года назад

      I was using "Race Timer", though I don't really think it works that well, the 0-60 times recorded were quite different. I used to have an accelerometer based, instead of GPS based, timer and it was more consistent but was not updated since like iOS5 so it stopped working. If you find a way to disable the reverse beep outside the car please let me know! It's minor but strange. The spare tire is understandable since the batteries likely use the space under the rear storage area.

      I have no quibble with the many miscues. I own the hybrid limited. And also a 2021 BMW X3. For around $41k ( including taxes, etc.) , there’s nothing in the market that’s comparable. The ride quality, fit and finish, is a bargain.

    Hey thanks for the review! I have a question for you…between the gas and this for the transmission on the hybrid; how it’s feel? You feel the punch every time? And which dealer you purshase this one?

    • @cannibalrider0202
      @cannibalrider0202  3 года назад +1

      Depends on speed and current gear. I will say the transmission feels good and gear changes are solid and predictable. Most of my cars have been manuals, except for modern trucks and I can't complain about this auto. That said, this setup likes to rev and power comes in mid to top RPM band so if I need to pass I just give it the beans and let it downshift and get some boost going which takes about 1 second.

    Great job with your review! Thank you! There is no way the hybrid Tucson is 8 + seconds in 0-60. I have the same car. My best estimate would be 7.0 -7.4 seconds. It is pretty quick! Great all around suv as you explain. Why get a luxury compact suv when you can get the quality and value of the new Tucson?

      I agree. I have the car too and there is no way it is 8.5. That is about what my CX5 (non-turbo) used to do and this is much faster than that

    • @ewenmacdonald115
      @ewenmacdonald115 3 года назад +2

      That makes sense. Funny enough, before buying the new Tucson I test drove the turbo CX5. It is quicker for sure but not by that much! In sport mode the gas-hybrid Tucson really pulls well for what it is. That electric motor gives you immediate torque off the line and then the turbo takes over. I really like what Hyundai has done with this vehicle.

    It would be good to do a comparison between the Kia Spotage and the Hyundai Tucson. The Tucson looks a lot better externally but the Sportage is better inside I think. But I went with the Tucson because it was still a good interior better than Rav4 and Honda CRV. Lexus NX has a mire luxurious interior as you'd expect but even the top trim lacks tech like the remote park and blind spot monitor.

Also if you're going by the movement of the phone in the cradle, the mount itself was probably introducing some movement too.

Bose is hit or miss, I've really only had 1 system where it sounded better than decent. Other upgraded brands of OEM sound better in my opinion but those are often in more expensive cars. And I learned my lesson with a Ford / Sony system in 2016 where I installed a ton of Infinity Kappa Perfect equipment to never modify OEM sound systems again... headaches aren't worth the upgraded sound.

    2021 is junk. Mine blew it's coolant system on the lot. Of course, right after I signed the papers. And before I even got to sit in the suv! It will be 10 weeks this Friday. They can't seem to fix it. And neither Hyundai nor Irwin's Automotive Group in laconia NH will stand behind their vehicles. They will not simply trade it out. So off to the next step. And this is the third car I have bought from Irwin's Automotive Group. The second Hyundai Tucson.
