I think that doing this road trip in the winter makes the place look more desolate because the trees aren’t in full leaf. I just realised how we’ve not seen an evergreen tree yet. The steak looked disappointing, Cheveyo. So true, that the best steak is the one you cooked yourself. Thanks for the sights, guys!

Hi from Australia! We did a self drive tagalong tour of Route 66 a few years ago so I have really been enjoying you going to many of the same places. We thought that the changing landscape was one of the real highlights of our trip.
We visited Harley and Annabelle in Erick Oklahoma and the two of them put on a great show for our group. Unfortunately, Annabelle passed away a few years ago. It is a pity that you didn't get to meet Harley.
I hope that you will go to the barbed wire museum.
Thanks for taking us on the trip and bringing back great memories.

Road trips are almost always fun, but honestly Route 66 looks kind of dismal.
The sights do look pretty tired and run down.

Since I was very young my Mom would take me on road trips, taking the back roads, enjoying homemade fried chicken on Lazy Susans filled with local vegetables, seeing things one never sees driving along a US interstate. I still love to do these drives - the back roads. So beautiful to look out at the fields & woods either in the morning or at sunset, the random homes, the grazing animals, the occasional deer herds. I am envying the two of you right now....

How about travelling through the small towns on the West and NW Coast, the southern States, all along the East Coast and the Mid West. That is, parts of the USA we never really see at all. This would be really cool, interesting and educational for Americans and the rest of the interested world.

We really enjoy watching your episodes and we’ve been watching you for over a year now (we live in Adelaide, Australia) - keep up the great work! We always get a little chuckle however, when we see what you’re eating - we always say “where are the veggies?” in horror. 🤪 I imagine the US isn’t particularly good for that (cue the turkey and bread, amongst others). We don’t want to sound like old parents, because we promise you we are not that old, but you really need to look out for some more nutrition to meet your New Year’s resolution. 😆😁 Safe travels and keep doing what you love - we really enjoy coming along for the ride 😊 - Jason & Dani

Great to see you cruising on the back roads, with the freeway just over there a little ways, lots of advantages in taking the road less travelled, and I believe Tia is a towel chucker and Cheveyo is a folder and hanger of towels, I may be wrong, but hey that's the feel I get, safe travels and avoid too much kitty pee, love and light from Perth, Western Australia....oh and ps: the Copenhagen postcard arrived in good condition, cheers Trevor
I think I still have a souvenir plastic boot glass I got from The Big Texan over 25 years ago while staying in Amarillo on the middle of my drive back/forth to college. Fun to revisit the place with you guys.
But be careful in New Mexico. While I was stretching my legs at a rest stop back in the late 90’s, a curb came out of nowhere and attacked/tripped me. The best part was needing to drive dozens of miles down the road to find somewhere to get a bandage and antiseptic. 🙂. Walk safe!
Every time you got to a US takeout we get to see how little America does in regards to reducing plastic waste... Same with shopping... All those plastic bags still being used... Do better America

Well everything depends on the city and staff. Or whatever side of town you are on. Also there is plenty of smoke aka haze they call it. Like in KL, Malaysia and Chiang Mai is smoked out.
I read Chiang Mai has the worst air quality in the world at the moment. Surprised it is that bad in KL, though!
I've been searching for "Red Names" for your car, my favourite is "Crimson Bullet" or how about "Crimson 66"
They announced the name as "Cherry" although someone else suggested "Rhonda" (Red Honda) which I also liked.

I give those oversized statues more credit than others think they deserve, I suppose. getting all the proportions correctly "to scale" is no small task. for a 30' tall cowboy, how long do his Levi's need to be? (by my dimensions @ 72" tall with size 36" waste).that cowboy's trousers would be 15' long. and then, on to all the other measurements. now, pass the sarsaparilla, please!
How do you find Cherry as a road trip car? Thinking of buying a new car and its on the short-list. Although down in Oz it's called a Honda ZRV.
Nice little car. Quiet and comfortable on the highway. Spacious for such a small vehicle. Pretty good visibility, and precise steering. Subjectively, I like the styling.
Two biggest drawbacks would be that the 1.5L felt a bit underpowered and it isn’t particularly efficient, given its size and class (7.5L/100km average).
Personally I would buy the Honda Civic instead, but I know ride height is a big thing for many people.

I'm curious about why you'd think the straight one was Tia's? It definitely seems more like Cheveyo to have a straight towel, IMHO, since he's presented in their videos as being the more organised person, and Tia more impulsive.
@@mattsmith3135 - I think because of Tia’s anxiety- it’s hard to explain unless you struggle with anxiety also 😉 - I was also perhaps, quite unfairly, basing my opinion on gender stereotypes- which is definitely wrong - but I know that I have to hang up towels straight because I really hate soggy towels 😂😂😂 - like I said: I’m in the minority here - seems the verdict is that the straight towel is not Tia!! 😂😂

Funny thing is when my wife has had a few drinks and her guard drops, her common saying (if she tries a different wine and not in favor) is "Aw yuck! That taste's like cat's piss!" So I will have to get her some of that soda one day.
