    A sad, but very meaningful fact; Mandy Patinkin the actor playing Innigo has said that in the scene where he kills Count Rugen and says "I want my father back" he imagined he was saying that to the cancer that took his father from him.

      @Corey C I have to tell you what others here and when it comes to Mandy Patinkin. HE TRULY IS one of the sweetest, kindest, emotionally generous and gentlest hearted people on the planet. I've got him on my Twitter and I've dealt with him a few times, along with his wife when they stepped into our realm. He's actually pretty active when it comes to human rights. I'M an international prisoner and human rights advocate for 38 years. I deal with every level of the system from my juveniles to my people on Death Row. So a few times him and his wife Kathy have jumped in for support when it comes to some of our cases. Very caring, sweet, gentle people who are doing what's known as a mitzvah. I'm not Jewish, whatever is here know what I mean by that word. The perform a mitzvah for somebody... It's not just that you're giving of something to somebody, whether it's something physical or not, it's with the direct intention that's behind it, AND it's also with the fact you are sending it to them with a blessing onto them. It's considered to be a blessing because it's actually a commandment from God. YOU ARE supposed to something that is beneficial and also charitable for somebody else. XOXO ❤️

    A few fun facts about this movie:
    1) Andre the Giant was a saint
    1a) The main actors and actress went on a horse ride on a non-filming day and got caught in the rain. When Andre the Giant noticed Buttercup's actress shivering in the cold, he put his hand on top of her head, which she said was both a very comforting feeling and also remarkably good at keeping her warm
    1b) Viccini's actor was very afraid of heights. When he was anxious about his big scene being right at the edge of a bunch of hills, Andre the Giant told him that he would always catch Viccini's actor before he fell
    2) Carry Elwes is accident prone af
    2a) He broke his foot early in filming while riding a four-wheeler. He considered himself lucky to have not been fired for what he considers a very dumb mistake
    2b) when the six-fingered man strikes Wesley on the head to knock him out, the blow actually knocked Elwes unconscious. He woke up being treated by the same doctor who had recently set his foot. The doctor apparently said something along the lines of "you get into a lot of trouble, Zorro,"

      @Dreamfox-df6bg 2 года назад +3

      @@EOMReacts I understand, but I have seen movies and read stories where characters were polite even to their worst enemies. In the novel of the 3 Musketeers it is noted that after the main story D'Artagnan and Rochefort duelled each other 3 more times and it endet with D'Artagnan helping Rochefort to get up. In duels they nearly killed each other several times and they simply end their private feud because they don't want to kill each other any more. Their misgivings with each other had not changed, but had become unimportant.
      Some people have theorized that they might have even become friends, but there is no official source for that.But that this theory even came up speaks for how their relationship outside their feud had become.

At some points of the book it is noted that for example they left out 15 pages about why the Prince can't marry a commoner or 72 pages where Buttercup trained to be a princess and so on. ❤ As you wish. ❤
    Fun Fact: Cary Elwes and Mandy Patinkin performed all of their own sword-fighting after many hours of training. According to Rob Reiner, the only stunt performed by Elwes' stunt double was one flip during the "Chatty Duelists" scene.
    Bonus Fact: Despite his character Fezzik's almost-superhuman strength, André René Roussimoff's back problems at the time prevented him from actually lifting anything heavy. Robin Wright had to be attached to wires in the scene where Buttercup jumps from the castle window into Fezzik's arms because he couldn't support her himself.
    Bonus Fact: There really was a "Dread Pirate Roberts" in real life. His name was Bartholomew Roberts, also known as Black Bart, who operated in the Caribbean in the early 18th century. He is reckoned by many to have been the most successful pirate of all time.

And I even have that game, which is called _Hardball!_ . It looks exactly right, so he really was playing that C64, which can be seen if you look closely, although the sound is totally different. In real life, the C64 has a synthesizer chip that produced nicer music in this game, and it didn't have all the those bleep sound effects, which were added for this movie. Andre the Giant weighed over 500 pounds, so you'd need an EXTRAORDINARILY large horse that itself weighed 2500 pounds (they exist, but they're rare as heck). Scott, and is the first movie that James Earl Jones acted in. It's one of the funniest films ever made that hardly nobody knows anything about.

    What your dogs are going is releasing knots in each other’s ears-
    The little black one is groping the larger one.
    That’s why the sudden head shake;
    A knot of fur -from laying on the ear etc- released and it’s a tickle
    You can gently check around the ears abd the base of the ear abd especially in the ear itself little bumps - those are knots
    Those are why dogs scratch their heads abd ears rear-forward
    They are trying to get at one or more knots .
    Wolves use their fangs to pull out matted under coats during shedding
    They love each other and are definitely not weird

    This is such a great movie...one of the relatively few films that has been called "perfect" or nearly so by many notable people...it is always great to see people watch it for the first time. I am curious about one moment, though...at 8:17 you left in Andre's line about not trusting people in masks, but you did not make any comment or joke...was that you showing tremendous restraint, or did the irony of that line in a World that is (fingers crossed) coming out of a pandemic only occur to you later on? You did make a joke about it later on when Wesley and Andre were having their "conversation", so I wondered about the earlier line.🤣✌😂

    • @EOMReacts
      @EOMReacts  2 года назад +2

      Honestly, I didn’t even pay attention to that particular line about not trusting people in masks. It was there mainly as a set up for the “I’m waiting” line for Vizzini right after. Didn’t even really notice what Andre said until this comment. LoL
