"I just don't think I'd eat a fish I killed with a fart" 😂 This is why I love this channel
🤣🤣🤣 you know it would have to taste funny
@@J_EOMReacts I mean, you’re not wrong 🤷🏻♀️
Hahahahah
Lmao
I'm really sorry for the loss of your friend.
I'm sure he'll appreciate you watching this with us, enjoying the film together.
Thank you for understanding
His friend cheering in heaven
Not even two minutes in and ya got me crying with ya. Heart to you my man.
🙏🏾🙏🏾
No kidding!!
Same here man, not even two minutes and my wife over here asking me why im blabbering
@@Romani-Studios*blubbering
Me too man
So very sorry for the loss of your friend. It seems like you honor him well. He really was excited to share this with you when you were ready--and you shared with with US when YOU were ready.
Bunch of love and respect your way, Sir.
Thank you for understanding
Dude you can't be killing us with these sad story's. Thx for keeping it real. You'll have a big smile on your face by the end...
I couldn’t watch it without explaining what happened. I owed it to him
@@J_EOMReacts I totally understand. Enjoy the other two movies. There is even a fun spin off...Puss and boots
Ahhh. Your friend is smiling today while you watch this movie.
🙏🏾🙏🏾
“Did he wipe his ass with that”. “That’s just nasty”😂😂😂I’m sorry about your loss, it’s hard losing someone who you’re close with. Or anyone for that matter. Prayers go out to you my man
Now it's time for Skrek 2 which in my opinion is basically as good if not better than the first one. Love your channel and reactions! You appear very sincere 🍻
Shrek 2 is definitely coming. I been hearing good things about it and thank you. I’m glad you been enjoying
Though there’s a small part of Shrek 2 that didn’t age well.
@@Powerranger-le4up which?
@@mikolowiskamikolowiska4993 It’s when Donkey is shouting, “Police Brutality” and one of the knights puts his knee on his neck.
@@Powerranger-le4up Sounds like it aged perfectly.
You made your friend happy today not only because you watched it but because you enjoyed it as well. Can't wait to see you react to the sequels which are just as good. 👍🏼
Thank you and they are definitely coming
I've never cried while watching Shrek, or a Shrek reaction, until now 💔💔
I'm glad you watched this with us and got to remember your friend. ❤️
I’m sorry I made you cry but thank you for understanding
This is a certified classic. A splinter at Disney lead to DreamWorks. That lead to this. A not so subtle middle finger to the Disney formula .
And the memes from this .... Glorious
I loved this
So sorry about your friend. What a lovely way to honor him. Shrek has a special place in my heart. When my only nephew was a baby, Shrek The Musical was the only movie that would hold his attention, he was obsessed with it. It ended up being the theme for his 1st birthday party.
Thank you for understanding
One of the best lines in there was from Donkey: "What's the point of being able to talk if you gotta keep secrets?" That one resonates with me even today....
Also, thank you for the story about your friend. It reminds me that you have to do things with your friends while you can.
Thank you for understanding
May your friend RIP. Glad you are finally watching this, it would have made him happy to know you finally watched it.
He would’ve been stoked about it
The Shrek franchise is so great so much hidden adult humor
I can’t wait to finish it
Yeah it’s hilarious
You see in a different light when you watch as an adult
The “Keeping it real” is strong with this video…Respect 👍🏾
Thank you
You got a grown man tearing up over here.... Thanks for sharing that story, it makes the reaction that much more meaningful! Regrets over past choices can be very difficult to overcome. God bless you brother!
Thank you for understanding
Bro you came out of nowhere to become my favorite RUclips reaction video channel.
That’s awesome, that makes me happy to know that. I’m glad you been enjoying.
The reason you see so many fairytale characters in this movie is because they are not exclusively owned by companies like Disney. The original fairytales are public domain, the rewrites that those companies make are theirs.
That makes sense. I knew Peter Pan was on but I didn’t know everything was in here was
Very good point
Yes- Funny enough even Thor is public domain, as long as they don’t copy another company’s characterization they are good.
Celebrating your homeboy who has passed on might have a tinge of sadness, but it's still a celebration, eh? Glad you liked it.
I truly did and thank you for understanding
I've lost a lot of people over the years, between friends and family. One thing I've realized is you carry them with you in all the little things you associated them with. I'm glad to see that you're finally getting around to enjoying the thing they wanted to share with you and I'm honored that you let us in on that as well. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for understanding
@@J_EOMReactsWe will always understand...😢
Agreed. 100%
"They dunking him in 🥛!"
Not everything lands for me in Shrek, but I adore all the side characters, Gingy in particular. "Not my gumdrop buttons!" 🤣🤣🤣
The sequel is even better.
I’m excited to watch it
all of those fairy tales are public domain which is why for example you'll have Robin Hood and Sherlock Holmes done in episodes of Star Trek. i mean i know those aren't fairy tales but what i'm saying is Disney be making a billion dollars on a fairy tale that doesn't cost anything to use for your movie.
It definitely is a kids movie, but if you watch it again as an adult you will get the references that went over your head as a child, one of the best things about kids movies from that era was they dropped in little jokes that only adults would understand. I feel for your story at the beginning, I lost both parents at the age of seven, loss is a difficult process. You have a new subscriber.
I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your parents and welcome to the family
I like that the donkey somehow even looks like Eddie Murphy. 😊
🤣🤣🤣
😆 i Luuuuv how your dog was laying on his back like he just came back from a "Family Reunion Cook-Out."..😆 🤣
You got me crying buddy. Thanks for that story. I completely understand it.
I apologize for the sad beginning
@@J_EOMReacts To be honest, I cherish those moments the most.
Man, I've always loved the channel, but especially now since you told that story about Shrek. My heart goes out to you. Thanks for trusting us with that. Makes me even more sure that you are a real person. And being real, I can safely predict, not having watched the reaction yet, that you are going to love this movie. Maybe Eddie Muirphy's best character imao. Love the channel. Stay cool, as always...
Thank you for understanding and I absolutely loved Eddie Murphy in this
"I don't think I'd eat a fish I killed with a fart." And there it is, that's where JL's line is on his suspension of disbelief in films!!!! lol
I'm sorry you lost your friend before you got to watch Shrek with him, but now you get to watch it with thousands of friends!
It made it a lot easier for me doing so
The fact that it's such a fun and funny movie makes the opening of this video so much richer.
Thank you for understanding
Thanks for sharing a personal story!! Touched my heart!
Thank you for understanding
Bro, mad respect... You're just the goat. Great friend, great human, love this. Not sad, uplifting!!!! Just started watching but couldn't wait to post. Mad respect.
I greatly appreciate that.
I am dedicating my reaction watching you react to Shrek to your buddy who was lucky to have you as a friend and vice versa. His memory lives in you, your stories, your reactions and how you carry yourself in life, every day. It matters. Cyber hug to you and your Co-pilots and the amazing editor (seriously, you do a great job, Blank (did I get that right?). Quality.
Thank you for understanding and the cyber hug. And you did get it right his name is Blank lol
Proud of u, J. What a lovely gift of respect u showed him now. That’s how u should look at it. Now u celebrated him for all of us & represented, u know? He’d b happy.🖖
Thank you for understanding
You had me crying at the beginning and rolling with laughter during the rest. Great movie, great reactions, God bless to you and Blank. Shrek 2 is my favorite, so I hope you do reaction
Shrek 2 is definitely coming. It’s Blank’s favorite one too
Your story at the intro was a touching reminder why we should spend our time with the people who matter in our lives, sooner rather than later. You never know if the plans for the future might be unexpectedly cut short.
Man, I lost count on how many times you say "Shut the f@#$ up!" throughout your reaction. Good stuff 😂
🤣🤣🤣 that he somebody ain’t sh*t count is always high
What a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing it. 🐬🌈❤️
Thank you for understanding
So sorry for the loss of your friend💜
Thank you 🙏🏾
Now your homeboy can rest in peace!! Love watching it with you in his stead!!
🙏🏾🙏🏾
"Lord Fquad'' I'M WHEEZING, I LOVE YOU MAN.
🤣🤣
Omg I wish I could go back and watch this for the first time as an adult. I’ve had it since I was 5 in ‘01 when it came out and watched it dozens of times. The humor hits so different when you reach a certain point in life and it feels like a whole different film😂
Also I’m very sorry for the passing of your friend. I hope the laughs in this will always remind you of y’all’s friendship.
15:50 "donkey my spirit animal" lol
Apologies if someone already covered this but Farquaad is, indeed, an intentional mispronunciation of “f**kwad.”
It was Dreamworks‘ FU to Disney’s Michael Eisner which is why the character bears a resemblance to Eisner.
Damn man, much love for putting yourself out there and for honoring that human that touched your heart.
“I don’t think I’d eat a fish I killed with a fart” hahaha. That was great.
🤣🤣🤣
My mouth was open and everything🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for the intro 3 minutes of this video. I feel honored to share this experience with you fam!
I wasn't really into the Shrek movies but I knew you bring a great angle to the movie and you did not disappoint. You are too damn funny! 👍
Thank you for understanding and I’m glad you enjoyed
You should rescue another dog and get a third wingman and name him Donkey, you're so awesome with'em. Also, I can't wait for you to see the next 1 :))
Lol only reason I don’t have a third is bc they won’t let you have 3 here but I plan on getting some more one day. I’m looking forward to seeing the next one
I always laugh at the "Welcome to Duloc" song, because how out of nowhere it is.
Song was hilarious
Ty so much for sharing how personal this is for you, it does mean a lot to us followers. 💗
Thank you for understanding
"So... is that his girl or is that his pet?"
I tell you I spit out my water all over my computer 😂
"He can talk. Hes the talkingest damn thing you ever saw!" Was such a killer line.
That was the most beautiful heart wrenching thing I've ever heard before a reaction. I'm sorry for your loss 💔
Man, always enjoy your reactions. Since I came across your channel, you've been one of my favorite reactors to watch. This video is a perfect example of why you are one of my favorites. You come across so genuine, honest, and "real", which is always a breath if fresh air. Glad you decided to watch this movie and share with us.
Thank you for understanding and for the kind words.
My friend, you don't have to hide your emotions. We all have our demons that we face everyday. Love your reactions, and I've seen enough videos, that I know you are an awesome guy.
Thank you for understanding and I greatly appreciate that
Been watching reaction channel's for a while..this is the most tear jerking and interesting reason to never have ever watched a very popular movie...the sealed DVDs got me...I can't wait to watch your reaction homie....
I apologize about the beginning and I hope you enjoyed
Looking at the angle of Dragon’s head when Donkey is talking about his tail is one adult joke that I cannot believe got past the censors.
I’m have to go back and look
Sorry for your loss man. Praying y’all find peace and comfort.
Always let those you care about know how much you do, because none of us are promised tomorrow.
Thank you and I agree
I am hella late but still happy to be here and share this moment with you and the puppers. I had to take a break and am now binge watching you once again. Loves 💜💜💜
Glad to see you again
Mannn...I'm having an emotional day and just got back from walkin my 6 co-pilots, German Shepherd Rosko, RED Heeler mom/grandma Dinga, her sons Lilboy&Buddy, daughters French Fry AKA Frenchie, Buddy's son Spoonman.
What a great friend you had/have. I wish I had a friend like that instead of the narcissists from my life/past, but I am a generous giving person and narcissists are more abundant than ever.
Dude, you seem so gentle and loving and your co-pilots are so appreciative of you it is great to watch.
I have never seen Shrek so I'm watchin now in honor of your great friend.
May you enjoy wonderful peace in your life.
Your laughter just broke out so I better catch up.
Thank you for the kind words and I hope your day gets better
"We can stay up late, swapping manly stories, and in the morning, I'm making waffles!"
Fun Fact: The principal actors never met each other. They all read their parts separately, with a reader feeding them the lines. John Lithgow later admitted that, while he enjoyed playing Lord Farquaad, he was a little disappointed that he never actually worked directly with Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, or Eddie Murphy.
Subtle Dark Fate Fact: When the fairytale creatures arrive at Shrek's swamp, you can see Papa Bear comforting Baby Bear at a fire. Later in Lord Farquaad's castle, as he watches Fiona on the mirror you see Mama Bear as a rug, skinned and laying on the floor.
No True Scot Fact: Mike Myers originally voiced Shrek with his natural speaking voice before the film was test-screened. Then he tried country Canadian accents for Shrek. However, after viewing a rough cut of the film, he felt that something was missing from his performance, and re-recorded all of his lines with a Scottish accent, based on the voice his mother used when reading him bedtime stories as a child. The original voice can still be heard in the technical goofs on the DVD. The decision to revoice Shrek in a Scottish accent ended up costing an additional $4 million, as it took him twenty sessions to complete the re-voiceover. This was his first voice performance in an animated film.
Nice!
Never heard that last bit about him re-doing the voice. I guess that 4 million was worth it.
These facts are brought to you by 🐊
Another few fun facts for you. Mike Meyers was not originally cast for the voice acting role of Shrek but rather Chris Farley, who had completed most of the recording of the character before his death. Princess Fiona was once voiced by actress Janeane Garofalo but she was fired and replaced by Cameron Diaz. Also based on a children’s book and another film is in the works.
You're welcome! Enjoy! 😎 👍
I respect your fathering style n you now so much more!!! Get this man a 100k RUclips button!!!
Thank you 🙏🏾
Dang man hitting me in the feels... I had a similar story, this year my uncle died of Covid. He used to watch this all the time with me, and I was very sad... But my aunt gave me his copy of Shrek, and it's very dear to me :)
I’m sorry to hear about your uncle. That’s awesome you got his copy though that way you always have those memories
@@J_EOMReacts
Thanks :)
Damn. Never thought I could be sad about this movie. Way to get through it.
I apologize for the sad beginning but I couldn’t watch it without mentioning my friend
@@J_EOMReacts No need to apologize for being real.
Just wanted to say, I love your channel. Love your reactions. They have me howling with laughter and crying with laughter. Truly a funny guy and down to earth. Keep that energy up, you’re a wonderful human.
I didn’t expect to cry 😭. The intro was the best sweetest thing ever !! He’s watching over u and extremely proud of ur success ❤
Wow; bittersweet. I think many of us have stories like that. Thanks for sharing. ☹🙂💙
Thank you for understanding
Awesome use of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" in this movie
This movie was originally made as Chris Farley being Shrek. It was already done and in the can but then Chris Farley died of a heroin overdose and they had to scrap the whole thing and start over
That’s wild
"You ain't pulling that out my ass"
Best line
RIP! I know your friend is watching along with us all!
Got me invested with that story at the start. I’m here for this reaction and more, good sir.
5:04, I really didn't think I would hear someone say that in my lifetime 😆
🤣🤣🤣🤣
In a way I feel your loss for a good friend and have to say you made your friend proud in posting this review. Love the Dogs also. Keep your reactions as they are your doing what we want to see.

So heartfelt! Your friend is shining down you.😇 Thank you for being genuine and vulnerable. You had me in tears l...and then laughter. As always, much love and gratitude from Oregon.💚

.....😢.......shit...2 minutes in and 'dis niggah's got me leakin' like I just plucked a fist full of nose hairs or some shit 😂😅
Mad love to you fam 💙💙
Thank you for understanding
🤣🤣🤣 the nose hair thing got me weak
what's funny and unique about arrow wounds/injuries, So the best kind of analogy for an arrow is a fish hook. so you've got your arrow, you've got the arrowhead, you've got the barbs on the end of it--once it gets beyond those if you try and pull it just straight back, it's going to cause more damage than when it went in.
That’s why I would still have a arrow in my ass 🤷🏾♂️
"ill kill him where he stands, i dont care" hahaha
Shrek 2 is probably my favorite. Can't wait to see your reaction to it.
This is the only movie I went and saw in the Theaters 4 times. I STILL love this movie and the series is pretty good overall IMO.
JL, thank you so much for sharing this moment with us. You have a beautiful heart. ❤
Thank you for understanding and the kind words
Im truly sorry about your friend my condolences, but this was another great reaction and I'm looking forward to your next reaction video, love to your co pilots
Thank you for understanding and showing my babies love
Omg, your story hit me so hard. Big hugs!! Very proud of you for doing this. It took courage.
So happy we got to experience this with you. ❤️ Can't wait until you get to the next one.
I’m glad you enjoyed
You’re homey would be proud. Glad you shared it with all of us. You’re right it’s not a kids movie and the next two are just as funny…I hope you get to watch them as well❤️
Wow, that box set needs to be in a shadow box for safe keeping. More movie facts about this one... Shrek was originally supposed to be Chris Farley (the guy who was Tommy Boy) but he passed before they finished the movie. Mike Myers took it over but at first as he natural Canadian accent, then decided to go with the Irish brogue.
I would have been interesting to see what Chris Farley could have done with this
Scottish, not Irish.
Cameron Diaz basically retired from acting in 2014. She came back this year to do a Netflix movie with Jamie Foxx.
I’m have to watch it. What’s the name of it?
I'm sure your friend was watching and laughing right along with you from the other side, J.
Looking forward to watching the rest of them with you.

Love & Light to you Blessed Bee ...your friend is happy you shared this with us :) I appreciate all that you do and all that you are.

Eddie Murphy was also AWESOME as the dragon in Mulan. He made that movie.
I’ve only seen the live action Mulan.
Hey man, we all have those weird stubborn habits or resistances. It's hard to explain, but we all get it. Much love to you, and thanks for the content.
Thank you for understanding and thank you for being part of the family
I still don’t understand how a Lord can marry a Princess and become a King 🤣
🤣🤣🤣 I never thought of that
Shrek: Let me put it to ya this way, Princess: Men of Farquaad's stature are in....SHORT supply?
Donkey: I don't know, Shrek. There are those who think LITTLE of him.
Me every time: 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣

RIP to your friend. I know it's hard but I appreciate you sharing. The Shrek films are great escapism. And the subtle (or not so subtle) parodies of Disney are hilarious. I know your friend is smiling now that you've seen the film. Shrek II is even better!
