Man i used to love these buses. They were one of fastest buses out there. QV Depot used to haul ass on these buses. My favorite all time bus (on my opinion, besides the 1981 RTS remakes)
There IS a 6v92ta RTS preserved in NY, just not an MTA bus. It's up in Rush, NY at the Museum of transportation

After 1990-91 Rebuilt, their 1985-87 RTSes were still ran faster than them
The RTS with the 6v92 combination is my top faves.I recall seeing some these in 2007-2009 with only the Series 50. BTW, I am the same guy who drew the cuomo schemed RTS on Flickr. If you're making an Xcelsior review, I am excited to submit my vid for the review you may create in due time to combine in your review for my thoughts on Xcelsiors because I am an Xclesior fan.
The 6v92 RTS era ended between 2007 & 2010. In due time I'll review the Xcelsiors. Glad you enjoyed the review
Kal-El only two CNG RTS? I didn’t know two buses get transferred to Command Bus Company Present day Spring Creek Depot. Because I thought there were two buses. Also, RTS is the first CNG than Orion five from 1994-1995, right Kal-El? I didn’t know 8398-8399 were the only two to be transferred to Spring Creek Depot AKA Command Bus Company. I LOVE CNG RTS!!

@Kal-El: ?uestion, why were different units sent to different depots since they are all nyc buses? Second I loved the Detroit diesel ⛽️ buses even though they would blow that black exhaust lol. I remember those buses could really go! I didn't like the cummins sound at all.

I thought those CNG RTSs with THAT particular boxy CNG fuel tank had Detroit Engines, I’ve seen a video. And the ones with the more streamlined fuel tanks had the L10G engines ?

Emission reduction and EPA regulations though earlier generations of the Series 50 offered both roof and street exhaust

@@younghotboy109 in 2003-04. Shortly before the takeover. I rode them quite a bit. They got 8200's
