59 yr old single, child free woman here. Just wanted to give an old lady's perspective......I FREAKING LOVE BEING CHILD FREE!!!!!!. Just the thought of being pregnant made me vomit. have never had any regrets. I'm debt free, mortgage free, drama free and semi retired. I can pretty much live anywhere in the world that I want. I have fulfilling relationships (when I'm not being an introvert). All of my needs are met as well as most of my wants.
I have very little stress in my life. I work when I want, I travel when I want with no restrictions on my time. I'm pretty much living a comfortable life free of poverty, crime and abuse.
I have a healthy savings and investment portfolio, I'm there for my family if they need me......I'm the rich aunty that comes into town, drops money on my nieces and dashes out of town (smooches).
I have just enough maternal instinct to take care of a very devilish cat and an equally mischievous yorkie who are very spoiled and well taken care of. Nothing wrong with having children but child free women seem to be the happiest group on the planet. And speaking from my own experience, that is definitely true.
Love all of this and I have a kid… My friends know I don’t like kids except my one and only… ❤

This is the realist ish I’ve heard ALL DAY LONG. I can’t imagine having to go through 9 MONTHS of discomfort AND pain to give birth only to have to be a SINGLE parent. Being a single parent is ALWAYS a possibility whether you get married or not. The marriage can end in divorce or death & YOU are the only one who is responsible for the child care. If I have to be a parent BY MYSELF, then I don’t want to do it at all!!!! No thanks!!! 🙅🏾♀️❌💯

I have 2 children, and I wouldn't do it again. It's so hard being a mother and a person separately from it all. I am a single mum with my little one and I am teaching her to go after money, money, money and to be rich. She knows that money matters more than anything. Because being a single mum is way hard. People totally judge me because I'm not married, it's sick. I won't be doing it again. Tera you are so right and I am listening ❤❤❤❤
I dont disagree completely but Money is not the most important thing. I have a 16 year old daughter and I agree to teach them independence but it's important to teach them self love and how to be authentic. Money is a drop in a bucket and can always be lost.

I have one child. He was planned. But I tell all of my childless friends to STAY CHILDLESS. I’ve told my child that being a grandma is NOT on my bucket list. This world is horrible and getting worse. I feel guilty bringing a child into it.

I was on the fence about pregnancy and motherhood. It happened to me (carelessness with my partner after years and years of carefulness).
I was absolutely right about pregnancy; Hated it! BUT I LOVE being my daughters mother. She just the best little person I’m so glad to have her in my life. Shes 2 years old. My partner and i relationship is better and stronger. My body rebounded well. So it was a nice surprise worked out well for me. Won’t be doing it again tho!

I appreciate you 1000x's over saying this. I felt guilty for so long having these thoughts b/c I'm marrying into a big Hispanic family who I love dearly but thinks something is "off" if you don't plan to be pregnant "soon" ..I sometimes feel I'm a disappointment to them if I say I don't plan on having kids. It's nice to not feel alone in this way. This world we live in now is certainly not what it's cracked up to be, like you said and I don't see a reason to bring new life into this world as it is and in this time of my journey focuing on healing and becoming the strong individual I know I am. The only thing you said that I disagree with is this going half on a baby. If you really think about it, men do not go in half on babies. If they did they would half carry the kids and also half give birth. They don't, so why they get 50% credit is beyond me.
ugh pregnancy is so gross for women. I always saw how female animals are left all deflated and sad after having babies, and I knew it was not all that. I imagine it growing in my organ like a pouch, so huge that it bulges out like that is disgusting and the placenta, ugh!!!! So nasty, I can't lol
It's funny seeing that as a pregnant woman. It is not an easy journey despite the fact that I am having a very healthy pregnancy, thank God.
I am also in the most comfortable position. I don't have to work and I don't. I'm pampered by my husband, parents and in-laws. Still, it is something to be mentally prepared for, and not a decision to be taken lightly.

I’m 33, no kids no husband & im celibate but God is trying to force a child & marriage on me saying that there’s certain things in my life that has to be played out but I never wanted kids ever & never thought pregnancy was something that was beautiful. So what should you do when you’re in a situation like this? My back is against the wall & im literally being forced into a Divine partnership.. I’m to the point of getting sterilized just to make sure I don’t bring any children in this world. I know how corrupt & evil this world really is & I have unplugged from the matrix 4 years ago I had my spiritual awakening & learned alot about this world & the real reason why babies are brought here & it’s not for a good reason.. not to mention me & my mom both died at childbirth so that’s another reason why I don’t want kids. I do not want kids
