I’m a childfree young lady too!! A lot of people ask me why don’t you want kids or a boyfriend? Well first off, I don’t need a man to make me feel good, I can make myself happy through God, and second if I have a child my life is technically over cause I gotta make sacrifices and can’t do certain things anymore if I had a child now and I’m only 19 years old I have a whole life ahead of me!

I agree 100% , I’m 20 and I’m focusing on graduating for university. By the time I pay off all my debt (school and some medical)I don’t want to have kids , and go back to living with thousands of dollars in debt again.

intentionally having children is about the most selfish thing one can do.
They want someone to love them unconditionally and take care of them when older those are the main totally unselfish reasons people have children 🤣🤣🤣
Childfree means by choice childless means involuntary.
I think the pressure of having children needs to stop telling women who say I don't feel that way that they will figure it out when they give birth that is such a negative thing to tell people with so many abused children people need to be encouraged to say no if they don't want it they should feel free to say that. I am so dedicated to being child-free that I have never had sex and plan to continue that practice. I have 15 nieces and nephews, and I can be my best self for them whenever I am with them cause I have my me time and my clean house and quiet house to relax in, and they love me for it cause I am not stressed when I am with them.
My nephew born three months before covid, I'm happy because I'm childfree, I'm 33.
Yea I always thought about the small inconveniences that you have to deal with with kid. More laundry to fold, cooking for more people etc. Just cooking for myself is time consuming. Also everybody else I know who has kids regrets it whether they admit it or not. I seen male friends in the past really struggle with child support. It looked absolutely soul crushing!

I feel the exact same way, everything about having kids is laborious, from pushing it out, to literally shaping and forming their mind and soul !!!! I am 28, not married, no kids, still have a LOTTTTT of healing to do. Raised by an alcoholic mom (who did her best) and a dad who cheated on my mom growing up, sometimes wish I wasn't here, but then I found God!!

Not selfish at all! Im a mom of 2 and it is hard. Its not like the same people that told you youre selfish will help with the baby at night or watch them while you work so fk them.

I'm childfree at 39 years old and I have also never been married. I would rather sing in clubs, drink beer and smoke weed rather than doing the husband and father things. Am I a selfish deadbeat for not wanting those responsibilities?
