I love your suggestion about student loan debt interfering with being a homemaker. I feel like youth groups should inform teenage girls about this before they go to college.
One thing I would suggest to young women is buying a home based on the husbands income. That way if the wife wants to stay home after having a baby, she can because their mortgage isn’t based on both of them needing to work. It’s terrible to have to work when wanting to stay home with young children and infants.

I am a grandma now and have been a home maker while working outside the home mostly part time as needed. My home, hubby and faith are where my heart is. So good to see a young generation of home makers. Lovely video.

The issue that feminism tackles is not that homemakers are bad, it is that this work is SEVERELY UNDERVALUED. Men have never respected it as a whole and because of that women devalue it as well. Feminism wants this type of lifestyle to be valued ie in divorce court. If you are going to critique something please check the facts.
None of this makes sense...? These are all huge generalizations and false notions. Realistically, feminism and marriage/homemaking don't go hand-in-hand. 😒

For me, making a more detailed video on what to look for in a man for marriage, would be so helpful and informative! I am newly married and I grew up in an environment where all tue females in our family were career orientated,especially my mom. Although I have a small business if my own,I enjoy home making so much more. I rely on videos like this for guidance and education on top of what the Bible teaches. Thank you for helping a fellow sister in the faith walking out a role culture seems to always want to encourage us out of.

I think you did EXCELLENT composing this video and explaining the components of homemaking 👍 When I went to high school, I was blessed enough that the school (religious one) had several courses focused on the mentalities necessary to succeed at being a wife. Make no mistake, it was an institution that challenged and demanded with regard to math, computers and finance, but in all of those topics it was central that the value of those skills was to build a valuable wife, not a single woman "doing it for herself", who might be called on by her husband to execute this or that either in the household or at a family business. People often just think of the old "home economics" classes of the 50's or something, but a modern day woman often needs the mental and emotional nourishment that goes to the brain and heart to contradicts the messages and imagery of selfishness and self interest that are so prevalent today. And yes ladies that means being able to cook and knowing what gets out such-and-such stain too! Brava to you Berylanne! Keep giving this wonderful information, and the day to day realities of it all also. You do a fine job 🌹

I don’t understand your view of an American housewife being feminine? Do you just ignore that the American housewife was created after American whites lost their slaves? When they no longer had slaves to do domestic duties, that work was transferred to women. Those times were very abusive for women and many of the women in those times had mental breakdowns and abused drugs.
How did you change oversees her household to say does domestic duties? Most successful families had maids or servants to help with those tasks since the beginning of time. Are you just brainwashed by American-washed history and haven’t actually looked back at the actual roles of women throughout history?
I can clarify...... My beliefs and viewpoints of homemaking, gender roles and family structure comes from the Bible. I believe in Biblical principals as a Christian. I don't follow political or ideological beliefs within the culture. With that being said, I don't believe homemaking is connected to a specific historic time period or was "invented" during American Slavery. I believe God instituted homemaking and the family structure for all women. Raising children full time has nothing to do with historical slavery or what women did in the past. God's will for men and women will either be accepted or rejected. 🙏 I'm not sure where you learned this mindset from, but it's completely false. I hope this helps! 👍
