    I so appreciated your showing the correct placement of the griddle plate. I must have set mine backwards. My food nearly slid onto the floor. I emailed Ninja but she kept referring to the placement of the grill plate. So thank you. I just found your channel, but will be checking in again.

    This is an excellent overview of the grill/griddle units. I have the higher end with the temp probe and auto food sensing. The buttons are in a slightly different place but this video was helpful in getting the whole lid up concept understand the timer is more about how long to keep the unit 'on' vs. cooking time. Well done. Stay safe and continued success.

    Hi Jeremy,
    Thanks for this video. I have a question here:
    Since this unit doesn't come with a deeper pan,how would you bake a cake or do a pork roast?
    Your reply will be much appreciated.

  • @Rob_430
    @Rob_430 2 года назад

    Great review! My comment would be, they added heat from the bottom, and a griddle. But, they took away the deep pan that came in handy to bake in. I have the older, original model, which even has a deeper pan to bake rolls in. This seems shallow, so how do you bake in it, or roast a spatchcock chicken? How would you bake Mac & cheese? For the griddle, it’s not an easy unit to move in & out of the kitchen, if space is limited. My stovetop griddle would be easier to use.

    I just received the device. As with the early Flavor wave, Halogen, and convection ovens, this can be a chore to clean. I just cooked over three days some fish, breakfast sausage, and two different breaded chicken wings. I still have a previous Flavor wave sitting in the closet and I love the glass bowl for easy cleanup. The Flavor wave used to have a plastic shield instead of the glass bowl and over time it would discolor and crack. Well, I guess things progress. I heard that this Ninja is a little easier to clean. In the Flavorwave etc. the upper control panel was the hardest to clean; one time I took the blades apart to clean them but they get dirty very fast. My fish I overcooked from frozen halibut and next time I will wrap with foil; maybe I should have used Grill instead of Airfry. The breakfast sausage was easy. I cooked two different batches of chicken wings, one at 390 degrees and the second at 320 degrees. I did not want the breading to burn. I don't have a dishwasher so I wash by hand. If you like washing dishes, you will love this product. Lots of grease. Maybe you can throw the greasy grills in the dishwasher but you will have to clean the inside of the hood by hand, and be careful because it is brushed aluminum. That is the downside to all these devices. There is an advantage to one pot cooking like throw it in the oven or InstaPot. The review is nicely organized and filmed.

    Hello Jeremy, great video. Watched from beginning to end without missing a second! I just bought this awsome ninja foodi, however my first experience is a bit confusing. Do you know this little exaustor on the top back of the airfryer, there is a metal part inside and the little grid outside. This little plastic grid started to melt just by pre heating in the Air Crisp function. Have you ever seen this happenning before? Thanks a lot in advance

    We just got our grill and griddle a couple weeks ago and we got the best deal at Kohls they had 40% off of everything for 2 days only and we got $30 in Kohl's cash. I had bought my husband when we got our outdoor grill this set of 6 colored probes it's this bluetooth set and you use an app on your phone so we were good there. We paid $179.99 which is the cheapest it has been yet. We haven't used the griddle yet. I want to get the egg rings not sure which to get. I want to do eggs and pancakes plus I just want to do a grilled cheese and do hotdogs too.. We did sirloins, chicken breast and hamburgers so far. I had a grocery delivery and bought Salmon and they were out which is a bummer I was anxious to try it.

      FYI I prepared pancakes on this today, it came out great. Actually I was surprised. I too would like to prepare eggs on this from time to time ( I am not a big fan of eggs). I plan on getting in the future the silicone egg rings. I am not sure where to purchase it from, but I will be looking around. My first go to will be Amazon though.

    • @RockinRose

      @@amandaellis7366 I bought the egg rings from Amazon and did a couple eggs my rings came with 2 round and 2 square. I fried 2 eggs and made 2 pieces of toast it was good. I did do my turkey bacon in the microwave though. I bought some hash browns too and didn't make them. But then my husband bought pancakes and I made a couple in the egg rings they were so good. I made quesadillas too. I use the griddle the most.

    Awesome review. I didn't think I can sit through the entire video, but I did. I received my grill/griddle about 2 days ago. I am in love with this appliance. I used it for the first time today & made pancakes. I was skeptical about cooking the pancakes on this but it did an excellent job. Actually I was impressed. I came to your video because I practice putting the grill grate in twice before using it and when I was ready to prepare the pancakes. I struggled each and every time but I manage to get it in. Once I watched entire video it was definitely was a great help. I purchased the higher end model with the temperature probe & really found this easier to use than the previous grill I have. I still will use both but I think this model will definitely be used more frequently. I am curious did you use any oil when you used the air fryer function?

    • @JeremyHill
      @JeremyHill  2 года назад

      When I air fry, I usually rub a little bit of avocado oil on fresh or raw food. I never use oil on frozen foods.
