No disrespect to any other Who drummer, but Moon the Loon was incredible, every time I see video of The Who I expect to see Keith even though he has been long gone for forty-five years, Christ I am old.
Not just eyes. In my opinion He was the most beautiful rock singer of all times. He still looks great. And last but not least-Roger is a noble man, compassionate and kind. To good to be true.
super song..............................................................................................................................................................................
Simon Phillips did a great job, but I will never forget that Moon the Loon was the reason I had a serious fallout with my classical pianist mother by refusing to learn the piano in favour of learning to play the drums.....50 years on and I still play!! Thanks Keith - RIP
Fantastic! I decided to play guitar and bass after a Who's concert in Rome, at the age of 13! They will be forever most energetic band and Pete best rithim guitar!
That sort of stomp in a circle he does at 2:30 is exactly the sort of thing Mick Jagger would do. They should have a Zoolander like "stomp off" to see who is best at it :)
Way back I saw at seperate concerts, The WHO and Led Zeppelin, both bands at the same venue, the Pontiac Silverdome (Mi.) capacity 80,000 If I had to choose which one to see again it would be The WHO. they were just better, a better band live, incendiary.
My go to song hope you sing it at Edinburgh Castle we sung it on the bridge after there hydro gig in Glasgow goosebumps and tears can't wait for the next edrinlin rush keep on rocking in the free world
Daltrey is outrageusly ripped for his age, and towsend puts down for posterity why he is one of the greatest guitarists who ever lived. Unless this video is re-edited in a stalinist way ... What's not to like :)
You are watching the coolest fucking band (Daltrey also played criminal John mcvicar in the movie 'mcvicar ')to ever enter your lifetime, ive been listening 🎶 to these since 1971 when i was born lol ❤❤👌👌
I've been listening to this song years before my generation was introduced to Limp Bizkit's version. I get severely annoyed that they prefer the latter's than the Who's especially when they make fan-made music video animations.
1974 I see them at empire pool Wembley I had a restricted view which means I was looking down at the drummer so I could see every time he changed his sticks they even done bell boy 5 years later I saw them at Wembley good but not the same and no bell boy
Oh Gordon moi je le bois great great great ce sont des gens pepole qui on inventé le rock n'roll dans ce genre de musique plus personne ne sait faire a part du bruit avec une platine.
Keith was by far the more creative and unique drummer. But live, he was often a disaster, and at best tolerable. Jones played Moon's parts live far better than Moon did.
No disrespect to any other Who drummer, but Moon the Loon was incredible, every time I see video of The Who I expect to see Keith even though he has been long gone for forty-five years, Christ I am old.
Roger Daltrey never lost his golden voice

Arguably one of the greatest bands of all time!
No arguably, most definitely one of the greatest bands of all time.

One of the greatest band of all time. I was born in 1967 and The WHO inspired me to become a musician.
Roger's eyes are so beautiful
Not just eyes. In my opinion He was the most beautiful rock singer of all times. He still looks great. And last but not least-Roger is a noble man, compassionate and kind. To good to be true.

In live music, hands are for clapping, not for holding the phone.

I saw them just last week in New York and they are still great. Still good energy , just Townsend is not doing those jumps anymore though lol

What's not to like :)
I saw this concert when it aired on TV back in 1989. No editing.

Who's on drums? I think it Simon, but I'm not sure
When you push a nice guy to the brink

Would love to go see Phil , but for a guy who hasn’t been loyal to his fans I’m not paying $300 + for tickets
Who’s Phil?
You mean Pete Townshend, right?
no kieth moon but okay
Keith was by far the more creative and unique drummer. But live, he was often a disaster, and at best tolerable. Jones played Moon's parts live far better than Moon did.
Drummer here is Simon Phillips. He's no slouch. Fabulous drummer !

Where's Pete's SJ??? That Takamine(?) sounds awful. All strings and no body.
F- - - y - -!!!
Should have quit when Keith died.
