They quit because game is robbing them
I quit a week ago at paragon 280+ mainly because the game is a cycle of boring grind, unbalanced pvp and that stupid class locked cosmetics.
Honestly I think they limit the rewards harder in this game than any other MMO I ever played, I think if they refined how long it actually takes to even get a small upgrade that would solve a bunch of issues, I mean even always a 1 arrow from heliquery would be enough to keep a lot of people interested, you do 3 weeks of the highest raids and nothing's an upgrade you get crap materials for legendaries after mastery, it's just unrewarding, not just for mobile, even in PC mmos and actions you don't grind this hard for absolutely nothing.
Compared to Diablo two the rewards are about similar in terms of how long do you have to grind to get them. I have actually done the math on this extensively however, it’s just not rewarding to grind in the first place because the rewards you were getting are insignificant other than just collecting eternal crest… in Diablo two the rewards felt significant, even if compared to the endgame they were not. It felt like every item you got you could at least sell and build some sort of legacy overtime compared to this game. The only way to build a legacy is just get more crests and increase your resonance, which is not fun.
I'll be out of if they don't truly fix the normal gem issue on the 22nd. Requiring over 19,000+ normal gems to get a R10 normal gem is insanity. If I had people working for me who came up with that idea they'd have been fired. Unfortunately, I only recently discovered the gem issue after already getting mostly 5/5 leggo gems up to R8-R9. Won't spend another dollar if things don't change.

Enough videos may catch the attention of the developers, it may not be easy walking up into Blizz and Netease HQ with intimidation in mind, war with the whales may be necessary.

Echo you should look into net ease and how they frame their game’s to specifically be predatory in monitization. Ive played some of their games in the past and if you saw their tactics its the same across all of their games. Anyway just a suggestion thank you for the great content!
I uninstalled the game on my phone yesterday. It is a stale game. There is not enough content that is fun and enjoyable. I found myself just doing my dailies, shadow stuff, and that was it. Doing raids with my warband is difficult because we don't really know each other so it isn't well coordinated. Doing raids without warband is not optimal. Resonance is a huge reason why I stopped playing. I only needed a few more pearls to craft a BSJ to upgrade. I thought to myself, why? I need 100 resonance to upgrade the gem after I craft the BSJ gem. So I decided to stop playing. I will still watch your content if you make DI videos to stay "up to date". Perhaps if they address many of the F2P barriers, BrotherMundo may return to the game. Your videos really kept me going because of your positive outlook and reinforcement of just play to have fun. It just stopped being fun.
Alot of content creators quitting, i still play daily but not grinding as much. Need to be more to grind for instead of combat rating every new hell difficulty

Someone suggested to class change. I thinking, why? The welfare crests we get doesn't help because it is mostly 1 star gems. I liked WOW because I could craft welfare epics to get into raids. Took some work to get the mats, but it was achievable. Unlike DI, collecting these pearls is a nightmare and painfully slow. PVP is a joke because at 1k resonance, it isn't worth the time to complete the 3 dailies. I'd rather be doing other things. It is a MMO that wants to be a mobile game and it doesn't do well at either. I like ECHO's suggestions. Quick in and out fun games or PVP matches with rewards. These events are stupid. I get scraps and gold just for doing my regular game play. Then I get a pear or even a welfare epic. Not motivating enough to invest 1 to 2 hours of my day doing the same thing over and over again.
@@brothercaptainmundo exactly..the problem is the repetition, and not just a little..1/2 hours at best, can be much more with crazy events like fractured plans or new patches, or whatever needed to finish journey's chapters etc...may be 2/3 hours per day (helliquary days, warband raids or defense days, shadow wars, etc)..and always the same things. At the end of the day, to understand you will NEVER get your 2 or 5 stars upgraded above lv6 at best, without paying crazy levels of money for just a game....so long indeed.
Best thing they can do is remove resonance base ranking from battleground. Let it b base on skill. Or offer rank base on your kills, assists, etc.
Resonance is not even remotely. The issue with player versus player issue is that the actual gameplay and the structure of player versus player is absolute garbage where everybody does basically the same regardless of if they are the best player in the world or if they are just an average player. The game is basically everybody just button, mashing, and casting whatever random spell they can and hoping that they get lucky basically every two seconds you are getting stunned and once you get stunned, you are guaranteed to die regardless of your skill level. also, the multiple revives are stupid, considering it’s already close to impossible to have a fair matchup and a one versus one anyways so in the rare time that you actually do have a fair match, the person can just revive and now the whole entire team is stunning you and you’re done for
I saw this on pc so I'm trying it, liking it so far not gonna pay anything just something to do until I can try the d4 beta this weekend and giving d2r a break.

Echo. I really enjoyed your videos and watched every single one for a long time, but it’s no longer the case. I understand and fully respect your feelings about the game, but making so many negative videos about the topic is an overkill for me. For now I still enjoy the game, so the is no reason for me to watch another video on the same topic. I hope you will go back to making vids on other Diablo topics - I really enjoyed the content you created in the past on Diablo.

Paragon 100 im having fun Paragon 500 im still doing the same shit as im i've been doing since paragon 100 the only thing change was minor change from skill and bigger numbers the raids are just there for first timer to enjoy it easily becomes a chore after few weeks and the daillies especially maxing out the mats limit isnt really the ideal way to burn your time into especially how lame paragon 500 gameplay is almost just the same as paragon 100 it never was that rewarding just a number increase after number increase sadly.
Im a new player and happy about what is happening so i can catch up somehow High Lvl but low Upgrades on gears. 3weeks already grinding in Hell V F20 100%
I was in your clan in the beginning when we became immortal for a several weeks. But I had to tap out. Wasn't resonance really or the people. I hadn't played an arpg on mobile much and was super excited the real thing was coming to mobile so I didn't have to be tied to the desk anymore. In the end though, it was my eyes. All the clan related things plus grinding for your own stuff took hours, and constantly processing small details around my character on a small screen for hours was bugging out my eyes. It was to the point where they'd go super blurry after 30-45 min and I'm not one who wears glasses. After not playing I don't have that problem anymore.
Played d4 beta, and well...I'm going to be tied to the desk a little longer it looks like. If you're bringing over the DI clan to D4 I'd be very interested in returning.

I’ve played for almost 2 months while playing 8-12 hours at level 280. It’s an addiction but don’t wanna pay for all this stuff for merely upgrading armor and getting op while farming loot. I feel like quitting because I’m ruining my way of sleeping, distant from family and gonna be attending work/college soon
I grinded from p328 to p693 in a week and a half while moving and switching jobs. It was extremely unhealthy. At some point you realize the drip is just not worth it and other games are way more tantalizing and take less time even if they are addicting. I hate that there is little skill required in the game. If you pay a lot, you’ll get crazy resonance and win. And the more you play the more upgrades you get and your cr creeps but so does the cr required for content. It’s not terribly fulfilling. And chat functions are frustrating to use.
echo you should totally cover diablo 4, i feel like you did your best with the devs of diablo immortal to give them a fair shake, you might be able to get some exclusive info from time to time

Echo, I have really enjoyed your diablo immortal videos. I love your delivery and laid back style. I thought you were someone that was enjoying the game and didn't feel the need to be the best in order to enjoy it. Where in the world did this max out everything scenario come from? I am pretty close to the ceiling for me with rank 5 gems. I am thrilled to see the essence extraction buff and now a normal gem buff because it gives me other options.
I like whales because they give me platinum to spend. I mean, aren't we all glad that McDonald's exists so we can get our big macs?

Diablo needs new mechanics and content , needs music from our liking, chat is a problem, raiding needs a new look and style of play we need people with out side the box thinking..Time for a big change. I disagree I love that its on the phone. it allows me to play at my convenience. they did a great job creating the game to where it does not tank the phone battery. But literally the game is almost pointless now in hell 7 what are we leveling up for? to achieve what? and the amount of effort on gems is a joke that's not practical for a normal person.

my demon hunter got 1200 resonace and my barb got 700 good luck dont know if ill keep grinding or quit yet

I logged in a few days ago just to see each town empty.
Clash of Clans made billions dollar annually without milking the community by selling only gems. Free 2 play could catch up with people buying gems without problems.
In Diablo Immortal even if you play 24/7 there is no way you could get what pay 2 win has and that is the clear definition of pay to win

Agreed! I want to grind hours and hours for gears or upgrades, all these walls/ dailies are not the Diablo vibe I crave! I feel like they was better of making Diablo 3 into mobile. Shame, shame. We needed that old school grind vibe, not dailies, grind walls. We didn’t get it 😭 I hope we do. I’ll pay membership, I will pay for cosmetics, I won’t pay for p2w and grind walls. Nahhh.
I’m still enjoying it. I play about an hour each night. Scratches my WoW itch but on my tablet, from the comfort of my couch. I can’t imagine playing 7-8 hours per day. I have put in a bit of money (more than just $5 battle pass) but far from a whale.

The game is good. The only i concerned about the PVP on battleground it should be the same paragon level if guaranted to do it should be +/-5 paragon level because they are making foods for the low levels paragon it will only the matter on there builds and ups off weapons and legendary sets

I don't think you could ever make it so you can grind resonance as a low spender, imagine a whale that dumps piles of money + grinds ... most whales I played with played tons, none of that one hour a day.

@ECHO Gaming Diablo, the game developers for DI, should actually take a cue from clash royale, how to make an engaging and rewarding mobile game.
Not just take a PC game and put it on mobiles with a lackluster PvP thrown in, that is mostly cash grab. DI developers are very regressive in giving refreshing rewards that motivate, excite and provide instant gratification that is totally missing . I do realise that comparisons are not good and fair at all times, however if some good learnings can be out of it, then it is not that bad. Cheers. 👍
The game is young, i won't give up because from day 1 until now blizzard has changed a lot of things to make progression more healthy for all kind of players. It has to be improved a lot yet but again, the game is young and stay with it (not spending a lot like all u did) will reward my patience. I like to farm, i never farm like youtubers did from the begining of the game overheating themselves. This diablo is not like the other ones, they just used a strategy to progress that doesn't work and they got tired from farm like in the same spot for 12 hours. That's not healthy.

I'll stay, I believe. The game is free and other people's money doesn't hurt me. I enjoy the progression and don't spend my day comparing with the rest of Sanctuary and the Inmortal's tier 5 wings. I don't want to be the strongest in one day. It doesn't work like that, nothing in life works like that. Diablo Inmortal works like real life does(progression). It is an mmo, if u don't understand it, it is ok, go and play something else. 👋
@@skin9073 I am with you .. I buy the empowered battle pass just for the cosmetics .. However I am a mostly free to play player . I Hard core grind at times and then at times I just do my dailies. I want to support Blizzard and their efforts to bring this franchise to another platform . So I made a promise to myself that I would not spend over $100 on the game other than the empowered battle pass ( wich is no different than a wow subscription to me ) . I don't understand why the gane is getting so much hate .. I really enjoy playing it .. I do believe blizzard can make some changes for a better quality experience though .. One make some grindable cosmetics . 2 add some crafting and farming professions for the players ( this Is an mmo and going to another player for something vs an npc builds the community .) Three Make unbound gear that can be traded on the market and Materials as well .. This will start to generate an economy in diablo immortal . Or make a stone of unbounded to make a bound item that hasn't been equipped unbound so it can be traded . Make a trade option between players . I know if a clan or warband member needs something and I don't I don't mind being charitable. Add more dungeons .. Add mounts or pets that can gather for you and add buffs .. The game has been out long enough for Blizzard to make a hefty profit . Come down on the pricing in the cash shop . Raise the empowered battles pass by $5 and add more rewards such as a random 5 star Lego ( bound ) occasionally .. Make your community feel appreciated and give them the same experience as other mobile ganes and PC ganes and they will keep coming back for more .

The pc version is an open beta port of the mobile game. It plays like it too.
The question is (except for the money it could generate), why did you start playing it and support this kind of behaviour in the first place?

Clans are for pvp and pay2play players and warbands are for farming and running dungeons pve players f2p

It's just another scummy mobile game that makes you pay to make any reasonable progress, the main progression being gems which a F2P player would have to wait almost a year to maybe get a single 5 star gem. That's bad enough but theirs so much more that it makes me sick, then you add all the other subscriptions and the people who actually pay to play this garbage could have had a full library of games with all the DLC. It deserves the low scores and those who spent even 50 dollars on this deserve to be made fun of imo, I'd rather spend that money on an investment or some sort or even a bigger plate from panda express...
To be honest many of these content creators had one foot out the door for quite some time and they left a while ago.
The problem with diablo immortal is the monetization of the gems both legendary and normal gems. It is unrealistic to rank up a 5 star or reach max rank with normal gems even for the whales . If that is fixed people would return.
The good news is you don't need either to play the game I can play all the content as the whales just a small delay in unlocking hell or bosses

Content creators tend to follow views. And realistically, long time players aren’t terribly interested in watching other players do the exact same thing they are doing. Might be an over exaggeration. But the gameplay doesn’t offer enough variety to provide content creators a lot of options for new content.

Looking forward to when d4 comes out so ALL the fake DI "content creators" finally move on to that. If you don't enjoy the game, move on. It's not for you and that's ok. Some of us are really enjoying the game and I'm tired of all the negativity. The game is fun and I'm trying to enjoy it for many years to come, would be nice to see more videos from big creators about actual details of the game itself like builds, skills, gems, stats, farming routes, quests, in depth mechanics etc. Enough with these videos of "DI, is it dieing?" "Why everyone is really quitting" "Is DI worth playing?" armchair commentary, y'all don't even really play!! End rant.
There are a few creators that are overall positive on the game. No one really needs crazy resonance. I have spent maybe $100. Which is a lot for me. I have resonance of 900. I win quite a bit in PVP. I do take breaks and have communicated with players who have in my opinion an unhealthy addiction to the game but overall all things in moderation. I wish the skill ceiling was higher and the game demanded more from me as a player.
I stop playing because it overrated and over priced I’m used to playing Diablo 3

I have been saying what Chosen said. I just consider it a Diablo clone, and then I’m less upset about it basically turning its back on the Diablo franchise.
Why some youtubers will act like "this game is cool, everyone is enjoying it" while the whole comunity hates it. Pro players made a totally bold statement bout DI (maxroll) but some fake ppl still will push this game nonsense. Now everyones leaving the shit. GG
