Great video. Ofc the game needs to be monetized which is silly to suggest otherwise considering it's a free download. If gems weren't monetized the game wouldn't have received the relentless backlash from the Diablo fandom. It would've been accepted with open arms if only skins and battle passes were the main source of monetization.

Hearthstone is far more p2w , in fact around 20+ games have dropped since DI dropped far more p2w and nobody making videos on them . Only 10-20% ever spend 1 dime on game so 80%+ of players are Free to play and enjoying game mostly and do not give a shit about people crying p2w

Games like DI have their pros and cons, and those vary person by person. Some people will love DI as is. Some will want it totally free. Some will want it somewhere in between, and others will hate it on principle.

The last straw that made me quit is the new legendary that come out, you have to be a certain hell level, example now you need hell 8. To get there you basically need to do dungeons (set items) and para level (to get higher leg Cr.
I don't want to grind dungeons and Paragon level before I am able to grind the new legs.
As a casual gamer I won't be looking forward to the new updates as I won't be able to get to try the new legs anyway.
Instead of saying get rid the gems, what they REALLY NEED TO DO is to remove resonance advantages in PVP and only allow combat rating to benefit you in PVP that you get from gear you acquire in the open world and dungeons... resonance should only be beneficial to people against monsters and not against other players...
They are reduced by 60%+ in pvp already and CC can wreck you , JT stopped making vids because he was getting wrecked post merger by non whales and better skilled players . He and others also made F2p chars and got them to top of leaderboards to show f2p can do it just as well . There are resonance tiers in pvp as well . I personally never see any wing after bronze until legendary rank every cycle .
@@DarkepyonX 60% of 7k reso will not allow f2p to kill a 3k,5k,7k reso. Maybe if they have like very little hp left. 3k might be possible if they have half hp.
Agreed, being Immortal first reign with Scrappy was an experience - more like a job I wouldnt want to do again.
This is not a clip bate this is the real deal I have so much respect for Nemo coming on the channel not easy to do when you love the game. I do agree with him but there is a way of playing this game and getting what you need to keep going by the the way Echoes plays this game doesn’t matter about what you could of had rather what you need to move forward and get more out of the game

I agree with all his three points and I too played the game early on when it became pay to play I still played it. But then I stepped away from the game for a couple of months to enjoy life outside of gaming and grinding. I am a demon hunter that was in the 300 paragons when I stopped playing but I like some of the recent updates and now I am backing playing and got myself to 520 so far trying to catch up to server paragon. I agree to that I don't like being in a clan that is why I am not in one or will ever join any but may have to do it temporarily to complete aspects of the game. I do look forward to how the game continues to evolve.

Glad to see that some of the issues he had with the game have been addressed (such as grinding Path of Blood). Certainly respect concerns about monetization.
It bothers me that the only people that have a chance to fight in rite of exile and win immortality are the people who pay big bucks... if they removed resonance advantages in PVP, it would allow the entire community to have a fair chance at raiding the vault and winning rite of exile. Leaving more room for skills and not just how big your wallet is... because the only people that are enjoying the PVP system right now is everyone who has very high resonance. Money should never interfere with an equal opportunity to win in my opinion... remove power advantages with money in PVP and only allow combat rating from GEAR to determine your PVP strength
1.) They killed all the Diablo experience
2.)They transformed the game and did what nobody wanted, a monstrous monetization
3.) I stopped playing it too but I'm hoping it's like Diablo one or two

DI Team, slash DAILY grind in half:
Start with x4 bounties instead of 8
Make WB count toward completion as long as 2 or more are in a WB.
You’re going to lose many players to D4 - create a point system that players where players can gain points while playing D4 that they can use to spend in DI
Some radical ideas I know , but the D4 wave is coming and because of the DI monetization many will not be returning to DI or at the least will be playing DI a lot less.

In general if I want to say, there is much to do in the game yet there isn’t! What I mean by that is considering how much time and effort you put in the game, it doesn’t payoff that time and investment . An example is u gotta run about 20 dungeons and 10 plus lairs a day to get gems to sell tham and get plat. This alone requires 3 to 5 hours daily grind and in the end , u can only buy maybe two 2 star gems which u need literally thousands of them to be able to upgrade your legendary gems. U feel like you’re getting nothing by grinding the game. That lack of feeling the progression in the game is what makes people to leave and sadly they decided to make that part of the game which is the most important part of Diablo franchise being paid to progress instead of play to progress.
This is the first video about immortal I’ve watched in a whiiiiiile. Only to congratulate Scrappy. That being said, the game is too much of a time drain. Being an adult is tough especially when you have a family that should take priority. The money is so far from the issue it isn’t even funny. It’s just the time man. Diabolical.

as a F2P/low spender (I buy battle pass each time but nothing else) the only thing that grinds my gears in the game is the fact that Battle Pass costumes are char bound and not account bound, tbh I have to use class change to keep my interest going otherwise I would have quit long before now, but the fact tat you cant use the BP cosmetic on any account char is just plain FKN stupid not even greed just flat stupidity from devs
Yes i'm F2P, yes im gonna get smashed by whales in battleground (which I still enjoy playing tbh unless there are too many whales in the match ups then I leave BG until a lter time or day) but this whole BP costumes char lock just really REALLY pee's me off
Need to talk about more rewards and more material so players can level there gear up instead of feeling cheated by getting a few dust and scrap ! I'll progress are being hindering dramatically because the reward system sucks with the same duplicates item drops ans the martial system need to be improved so we can actually level up and catch up especially p2w players
It's really a shame that Blizzard's hubris caused this gem of a game to be the worst of both worlds. As a gacha player, I LOVED so many design decisions, including the crests/L. gems and Shadow War, but they ruined it by thinking that their experience as a AAA dev company would mean the mobile development would be a cakewalk. For the gacha games that last, release day is when the real work BEGINS, and you push out new content, collectibles, WEEKLY. You get irreverent with your ip and release tons of collabs to bring in variety and fans from other ip.
I loved the work you guys put into the game, and I'm sorry it was so disappointing for seemingly most everyone, even us gacha addicts. :(

What type of graphics does diablo have?
If resonance was removed in PVP and only applies to monsters in the open world and dungeons it would allow free to play players to have an equal and fair advantage in PVP and it would REMOVE the toxic pay to win aspect that a lot of people hate..
Reso means nothing if u don't know how to use it... I destroyed alot of 3-4 times stronger reso than my self same as my monk buddy, unless is a pro, it's like a boost and to that's all
I quit a while back, but still love this game like I love all diablo games. I said this on another video. but Ill say it again; no fomo, no pay 2 win, cross class skins no compromises, all battle pass skins eventually end up in store, including that first horadrim one, better match making, more character slots per server so I can finally make one of each class on one server like wtf?, more pc optimization. thats what will have to happen for me to come back...

what i dont like about diablo immortal is the fact that if you take a long break and come back your so far behind and everyone is so far ahead ...ya they give you catch up but you never really fully catch up...also the money I lost my job recently and I cant play that game in my life right now because Ill be to tempted to spend money on the game
one of the worst thing is the fact that it's every thing is time gated and especially the normal gems. So if you miss a day or a week you can never catch up...

You could definitely say that the monetizing is a huge problem in the game but I feel like some personal responsibility needs to be taken on our part. What if the game wasn't meant to whale out in? Just seems to me there is far too much gluttony on both sides. Yeah blizzard and net ease shouldn't have monetized so heavily, but the players shouldn't have been so willing to pay so much just to max out a character or even get close. In pve there is no need for being max res. It definitely helps in pvp, but if people thought about what whaling out would do to the community and make the choice to slow roll to maxing instead of dropping 50k at a time it would also be a better game. Personally I enjoy the game. People will be people can't change that.
I really hate seeing people quit. Diablo immortal is a great game but not perfect we do get updates often which is great for mobile. Platinum grind keeps me going so i can buy and upgrade my legendary gems but it takes time.

What should i say, blizz ruined DI. first because of p2w, second the battlerating system.
Do you think when you spend thousands of dollars that now you feel obligated to play? I think you call it a loss but also a gain because there is a real life out there. That's kinda what I got from this video.
I can't wait that day whem devs decide to add pvp similar like WoW arena. queue up for 1v1 2v2 warband vs warband , clan vs clan.. and climb up in rank, (queues with similar combat rating +/- 100) yes, there might be long queues but it can be fixed in many ways. for example add tournaments in specific times so most people are online in one time. eaven if queue is like 5-30min. who cares, you play DI couple houers anyway. i think this type of pvp would bring back old players. couse people like skill based pvp right?
They should make stand alone separate servers with no shop!!!
Not only monetized but it's also gambling...cause the odds of getting the gem you even want or need are so low...

Give away free crests by playing the game. So you complete a dungeon for the day you get one or 2. And make it that the eternal legendary crests can be bought solely with platinum.

I loved diablo 1 through 4. I still play them everyday. Diablo immortal I don't like. It's play to win that what I hate so I left too.
Immoral should made a realm another part of game where the magic happens money play , immortal all of game should of been free all grind endless.

I commed this man for leaving. This game is a major money trap. Pretty much now in August of 2023. I'm at inf 1. I can hardly get to 20900 cr. They won't drop higher gear levels. (Beginning of the week drops are better.) Infact I am getting lower gear drops. It takes hours upon hours to upgrade a gear piece for 6 cr +. It's a full time job and I'm paying for it!!!! You are paying for gem fluff and you are getting 1 star drops when buying crests. Gambling. Canadian prices in the shop are 20.00 more per package than U. S. (Sorry guys in the states, not your fault, just a fact.) I could go on with things are wrong with the game but I'll leave it at that. If I were you, spend your money on a game that respects you as a customer. Goodluck y'all. 😎g

This game will die faster than any other game on the market because they prioritize big spenders only and have no remorse for the free to pay community. They intended for this game to be a short lived game with this system hence why they came out with d4 so fast afterwards. They expected Diablo immortal to fail. Diablo immortal was a quick money grab in between 3 and 4

The drama is definitely there and it is a huge turn off. It creates an anti social environment and there have been so many clans raised and fallen due to politics and drama.
The game has improved, but still trash. Thats the problem. Try to pvp and you will see how much you like this game.

The monetization was not created by the devs. We need to remember that.
Frank, you have multiple examples of mobile games that are successful and even get more revenue than diablo immortal, and they are not P2W. Tecent for example. Look at there revenue. DI is just a cash cow thinking on short term, it’s a bad business plan that will end soon. Mark my words that this game will not be around in 3 years. D4 will start the exodus, if they don’t enforce P2W. After that, they will be desperate to get people and attention, but, leg gems will still be on the game, and people will keep quitting. This is a mobile game, grinders will leave for D4, or already left. Mobile gamers are hard to keep, with the P2W thing + grinding it’s a combo that most mobile gamers will not stand. And there you go, 3 years or less of a cash grab on whales and this game is gone. It’s a shame, but it’s the reality. And btw I do play this game, and I’m an heavy grinder, but I don’t support the business plan so I spent very little and I shouldn’t even spent anything, because when you are spending on DI you are collaborating with a cash grab enterprise that doesn’t care at all about the game and only cares about your money. Think twice if you spend money on DI.
