It looks like she still has some mascara & a smudged little bit of eyeliner on her eyes. She's very, very young & worked very hard to clear her skin, so that's why her skin is so smooth & beautiful now. Gotta admire her dedication!

This is so helpful, bc I've been trying to get a Tretinoin prescription from my Dr for 6mons and insurance keeps denying it ($358). I got a horrible case of shingles on the right side of my face at age 30 and it made my otherwise smooth forehead have some permanent scarring 😔 I'm so self conscious about it even though most ppl say they can't see anything. I worked as an esthetician in a derm office and I was constantly working with clients on tret/ teaching patients how to use it once prescribed, so I got a really good idea how to use it and if was for me. I’ve been using it three years, so this isn’t a beginner’s routine. I ended up just ordering it from websites like dear brightly and nurex to start with… but now I get it from Dermatica, which does involve doing an online md consult. I saw results in a few months. However I’ve been using Retinoids in general for 5 years so Tretinoin was just one step up from what I was using at the time (retinAldehyde). Don’t be sorry! If it’s an exfoliating product or a retinoid I apply it to dry skin and allow it to dry down before the next product, If I’m using all hydrating products I’ll apply them one after the other. Hopefully that makes sense 😅❤️

They’re better on dry skin and there’s less irritation that way. I just wait until my skin feels dry. Before I apply tret I only apply water based products serums and toners. Oils are more occlusive may stop the tret from penetrating on the skin.

Yes! If your skin feels like it’s completely dried down in that time, then it’s fine … some said to wait 20 minutes to apply moisturizer for max efficacy (so that when you apply the tret you’re not diluting it with moisturizer or moving it around).. if you can wait that long great, but I just make sure it’s at least dried down.

Some people like to wait 30 min, and you can wait that long if you’d like, but I just wait for my toner and serum to dry down completely before Tretinoin. As long as it feels like the products have dried down I’d say it’s fine to apply the tret.
It can come back but taking steps to prevent it like wear spf, a hat can be helpful. But things like sunlight and hormones can cause pigment to re occur.. you can always switch to a less aggressive treatment plan if the one you’re on is too strong too
Hi! So I really like vegamour I’ve probably gone through 4 bottles because I keep coming back to it. In the beginning I use the essence and serum on damp skin… but I think it continues to look that way even when it’s dry because of my tretinoin glow. It’s made my skin texture very smooth so that when I have a filming light on it really reflects off my skin and makes it look glowy 😂❤️
Use castor oil with help of a spoolie brush or mascara wand or something every night.. my eyelashes grew so long within a week of daily use I had to stop using it for a while😂

I have been following this skincare for few weeks now after heavy purging of my skin due to tret. Now I use the same method as yours. I use cleansing balm, cleanser, essence water, serum, moisturizer then tret but my only question is should I wait 10 min before I apply tret after that? Or apply it right away? So if you apply it to slightly damp skin (not the same as wet skin) it may penetrate deeper and cause more irritation if you’re not used to the tret.. I personally just wait a couple min for my products to absorb and then apply tret because my skin easily tolerates the tret. If you’re still working on tolerance then yess wait 10ish min before applying tret. Hope that helps a bit
I've been using cerave healing ointment after my tretinoin that i got prescribed from my dermatologist, so it's the ointment is supposed to go before ?
I’m just using the ointment here on my lips to occlude that area and kind of keep the tret off my lips if that makes sense. I would only use it before tret if you want to occlude an area. Sometimes using the ointment after can cause it to penetrate deeper.. however If you’ve been using it after and its been helpful then I’d keep doing it

Yes this happens. Your skin is just compromised right now and moisturizer is acidic typically. This is good for our skin, but when skin it compromised applying some moisturizers can burn. If you have a calming toner or serum that may work better. And using some cere ve healing ointment on the area. But I’d avoid applying the ointment over the tret in this case. It will lock the tret in and may make it work harder on your skin.
That's a really bad idea! You only need chemical exfoliation very occasionally when you're taking a break from retinol treatment. Be very careful with aha's, glycolic acid, etc treatment when using retinol treatment - you don't want to overstrip or over-exfoliate your skin - it's very painful & probably damaging to your skin - at least temporarily. Not worth it! Ask your Derm Dr for a treatment plan & schedule (hypothetical) to follow until you can use other treatments. Better safe than sorry!
I get so confused by these videos of influencers as most of them have transformed their skin drastically...but....have anyone noticed that most dermatologist have just the basic skin as we all have...soo the question here is,whom should we take advise from....influencers or dermats???
I’m an esthetician that also makes content.. but it all depends on your personal skin. Not all derms are the same.. not all derms have simple skincare routines.. nor do they always agree with estheticians. I’ve worked with derms and have cleared skin with and without their intervention using treatments.. but It all depends on your skin goals, your skin type, your skin issues, the root cause of your skin issues, and what your skin can tolerate.. some skin does better with less.. some may need much more because of their high skin tolerance. Skincare isn’t one size fits all.. it’s what works for your skin.. which can take trial and error, a lot of educating yourself, and for some seeing even a few different professionals..

Do you suggest any eyelashes serums for eyelashes growth and it's also available in India ??
Use castor oil with help of a spoolie brush or mascara wand or something every night.. my eyelashes grew so long within a week of daily use I had to stop using it for a while😂
How much do you wait between each product?

Don’t feel sad! 🥺🦋It doesn’t look like this 24/7. I have my off days too, everyone does even if you see them with clear skin all the time on social media…. Just take it day by day. Stress, hormones, diet, general health, can all affect skin too.

I have been following this skincare for few weeks now after heavy purging of my skin due to tret. Now I use the same method as yours. I use cleansing balm, cleanser, essence water, serum, moisturizer then tret but my only question is should I wait 10 min before I apply tret after that? Or apply it right away?

So if you apply it to slightly damp skin (not the same as wet skin) it may penetrate deeper and cause more irritation if you’re not used to the tret..
I personally just wait a couple min for my products to absorb and then apply tret because my skin easily tolerates the tret.
If you’re still working on tolerance then yess wait 10ish min before applying tret.

I've been using cerave healing ointment after my tretinoin that i got prescribed from my dermatologist, so it's the ointment is supposed to go before ?
I’m just using the ointment here on my lips to occlude that area and kind of keep the tret off my lips if that makes sense.
I would only use it before tret if you want to occlude an area.
Sometimes using the ointment after can cause it to penetrate deeper.. however If you’ve been using it after and its been helpful then I’d keep doing it
@@SarahSaleen this is a random question you don't have to answer ofc but is it normal to having a burning sensation while applying moisturizer because of the tretinoin I applied before the moisturizer, I just recently started getting a burning sensation around my eyes I'm thinking it's the tretinoin cause I've seen people say they get a burning sensation cause of it but I'm also getting redness I'm kind of worried, do you know the reason why this could be happening ?
Yes this happens. Your skin is just compromised right now and moisturizer is acidic typically. This is good for our skin, but when skin it compromised applying some moisturizers can burn.
If you have a calming toner or serum that may work better. And using some cere ve healing ointment on the area.
But I’d avoid applying the ointment over the tret in this case. It will lock the tret in and may make it work harder on your skin.
Can we use chemical exfoliator on other day while using tretinoin cream????
Yes you can if your skin is can tolerate it, so if you skin isn’t compromised from the tret it’s fine to gently exfoliate that week too
That's a really bad idea! You only need chemical exfoliation very occasionally when you're taking a break from retinol treatment. Be very careful with aha's, glycolic acid, etc treatment when using retinol treatment - you don't want to overstrip or over-exfoliate your skin - it's very painful & probably damaging to your skin - at least temporarily. Not worth it! Ask your Derm Dr for a treatment plan & schedule (hypothetical) to follow until you can use other treatments. Better safe than sorry!

I get so confused by these videos of influencers as most of them have transformed their skin drastically...but....have anyone noticed that most dermatologist have just the basic skin as we all have...soo the question here is,whom should we take advise from....influencers or dermats???
I’m an esthetician that also makes content.. but it all depends on your personal skin. Not all derms are the same.. not all derms have simple skincare routines.. nor do they always agree with estheticians. I’ve worked with derms and have cleared skin with and without their intervention using treatments.. but It all depends on your skin goals, your skin type, your skin issues, the root cause of your skin issues, and what your skin can tolerate.. some skin does better with less.. some may need much more because of their high skin tolerance.
Skincare isn’t one size fits all.. it’s what works for your skin.. which can take trial and error, a lot of educating yourself, and for some seeing even a few different professionals..

Can someone please tell me how long do i have to wait to apply moisturizer after application of tretinion. I'm using 0.025 tretinion cream based and it dries up as soon as I apply it's not that moisturizing at all so how long do i have to wait to apply moisturizer? PS: tonight was the first time i applied tretinion on my face I'm kinda scared * fingers crossed *

my docter suggested me this tretinoin. after applying this i dont feel any peeling or purging issue but i do notice skin getting dull and dark. even tho i apply spf multiple time. should i stop using this or i should continue ? or its just a phase its been 2 month now my doctor suggested me to use 2 times in a week .

Definitely does for me. I shed a lot less which is what it claims to help with. However nothing works for everyone, depends on what’s causing your hair loss too of course.

Yes! I’ve been using it this way for the past year. I was confused about it because it has copper peptides, But I emailed drmtlgy and they confirmed it wouldn’t affect the efficacy when layered with my tret.
