IMO Japanese interior design is overrated. I've tried to live the minimalist lifestyle and of course that includes the place I live in and being intentional at everything I do. It was good for a while, but only for a while. At least for me, it's not a sustainable way to live especially if you grew up facing financial struggles for most of your formative years so you can't just eliminate that scarcity mindset that makes it feel so hard to discard things. It's not for everyone. It's for people who grew up with more than what they can use.
Its warm colour cozy vibes but not minimalist at all loads of bulky stuff living in it lots of spacious space but filled with furnishings decor objects why are you calling it minimalist.
