For anyone who finds fire cables are missing or damaged/frayed: I found that they are exactly the same as bicycle rear brake cables (inners) and Halfords stock them, saves a wait from ordering from fire makers. HTH.
Hi mate, found your channel a couple weeks ago and I'm really enjoying watching your videos. I like how you're filming day to day jobs but also explaining what you're doing, how things work, what the problems are and what causes them, its awesome. I'm currently doing a plumbing course after nearly 10 years of doing it straight out of school in college and then leaving to do other things but I've decided to get back in to it. Keep up the good work!
Regarding the first video/job....I was surprised that the landlord hadn't informed the tenant / or she was ignorant about the difference between an immersion heater operation and the condensing boiler operation.
My week is now complete ones again now you are back mate. I was like a lost sheep when you stopped uploading videos.... long may it last mate keep up the good work you don't release how you and your videos help people out not just with the plumbing but believe it or not be your videos help me with my mental health. There is just something about watching you and listening to your videos that Calms my mind and relax me when nothing els with #NotAllHerosWearACape
Nice mix of jobs mate. But the landlord for that TPRV what a clown 🤦🏾♂️ liked the fire one, I don't really work on them so interesting to see one stripped out like that 👊🏾👊🏾
Thats brilliant removing the fire box and everything thats why my fire services are over £100 what kills it is when some idiot says they do them for £50 and just do a spillage test 😮
Love the flue diagram, most boilers but definitely ideal the flue should be I stalled level. Do not raise and flow back to boiler as I had so many problems with this. They have a internal raised ring in the flue to stop it going back. Level your flues guys
Correct if I’m wrong but you set cylinder stat at 55 but you said turn down to 45 if too hot, correct me if I’m wrong but is 55 recommended at minimum for legionella avoidance?
So frustrating. Several people / companies have come by without adressing / fixing the problem. Then in the end you get called in and you not only find the problem, but also fix it and explain to the tennant what they were doing wrong and how to correctly operate their heating system. And then there's only one small thing that has to be replaced and the landlord wants to get several quotes. When will these people learn that paying peanuts gets you monkeys?
How do you prove the proving unit is working? Should we get a proving unit prover ??….. But then I’ll need a proving unit, for proving unit prover!!? !!!! Omg then I’ll need a prover for the unit that needs proving before I prove the unit aaaahhhhhhh!!!
Did you get permission from the tenant to record in their home and post it online? If you didn’t, you’re breaking U.K privacy laws. Don’t want you to get into trouble.
I enjoyed this a lot. That poor lady with the immersion heater on 24/7…. Glad you explained it.

Another great video ,great to see a real tradesperson at work
Oh, how I wish there were more professionals like Pete here with his work ethics.
Another great, interesting video.
Always good, this is like stepping into it the situation for yourself. Depending on your level. But fully helpful
Respect for your time and for editing this for us to watch.
Great video again Pete! Hope you keep going because I've watched LOADs of your videos over the years. Love each one.
Thanks for the upload. Good knowledge to digest. Everyday a learning day. Thanks. 👍👍

Nice one Pete, glad to see you're enjoying the college visits!
Great to see you back Pete. I have nothing directly to do with domestic plumbing but really appreciate the content - every day is a school day!
Great, interesting videos. Glad you’ve started up again.

Glad to see you're back Pete. Missed your videos for quite awhile. Best way to spend a rainy day stuck inside here in Vancouver B.C.
Good to see you back posting vids
Excellent upload Pete thanks
Regarding the first video/job....I was surprised that the landlord hadn't informed the tenant / or she was ignorant about the difference between an immersion heater operation and the condensing boiler operation.
Great video as always. Only guy to spot and sort the hot water issue, then landlord decides not to give you the valve replacement job. Typical!!
Love the videos mate always give clear explanations of systems and problems and ultimately how you've fixed it. I'm glad ur back pal all the best 👍
Great content. Glad your back 🎉
Great content Pete.
Top video as usual, it is inspiring and makes me want to become a plumber gas engineer

Well come back 🙏🏽
Good to see you back pal 🙌
Great video as always Pete
Good to see you back. That's a typical landlord, you fix the customers problem, and he/she wants quotes for the other job.
Superb vlog!!!!!
Client fancies PB! 😂😂 But then, who wouldn't..😍😂😂😂
Good to have you back pete Legend
Nice mix of jobs mate. But the landlord for that TPRV what a clown 🤦🏾♂️ liked the fire one, I don't really work on them so interesting to see one stripped out like that 👊🏾👊🏾
More of the same please Pete!
Top stuff as always Pete 👌
Brilliant Pete 💪
Great EP PB
Good man. ..showing everyone how to be a gas engineer. Your part of the reason the industry is the way it is ..
I showed part of the job, not how to do the job, you couldn’t qualify as a gas engineer after watching my videos
Your vid3os make my day 😊
The fire looked like it was built by Wallace and Grommet or Heath Robinson. Are they often like that with various pulleys and cables?
Excellent videos mate, I’ve pick up a few tips. Topman. I’d love to do a training session in the gym with you, you’re a beast. 👊🏻
Thats brilliant removing the fire box and everything thats why my fire services are over £100 what kills it is when some idiot says they do them for £50 and just do a spillage test 😮
Doesn’t matter how much you charge, should always remove the fire box.🤦♂️
Love the flue diagram, most boilers but definitely ideal the flue should be I stalled level. Do not raise and flow back to boiler as I had so many problems with this. They have a internal raised ring in the flue to stop it going back. Level your flues guys
I trained at Leicester college in the day it was on Newark street
Well come back mate
Welcome
great vid pete

Did you have your vest on for the immersion job?
Was that flue bit from a previous video? Felt like I’ve seen it before😂 or you’ve had the same issue before maybe
Some people really are stealing a living
Hi Pete, quick one, is there a specific app for fire MI’s or do you just google the make, thanks

you can use a known source instead of a proving unit. you can prove the known source is live by licking it
😂
Nice.
Ah yes. Landlords. Completely ignorant as usual.
Expensive T

Shes a terrible actress

I always let everyone know if I’ve filmed anything that’s going to be posted online yes. Only ever had one person say no in 6 years
Brill. Would hate to see you get into trouble. As an electrician, I love watching your videos and have missed your weekly uploads. ❤
Looking well and nice to see you back on here PB
