One of the all-time greatest post-game rants. A lot of people at the time dissed Sherman for that as unprofessional. I loved it and told those "traditionalists" to go back to bed.
Never cared for loud mouth Sherman. Was a huge fan of crab out of tt and all the way through. In fairness they both had equal pro careers in my mind. A shame crab had subpar PASSING qbs in his career. Was cool when he paired with a young Carr in oak. But having smith who was never a downfield passer for the majority of your career doesn’t help. Was never given the chance to be the vocal point of an offense like he could’ve been. And I’m saying that as a fan of gore and Davis as well. Even cooper was the primary when he finally got to oak.

Man that 2012-2015 run was special. People will always bring up the fact that Seattle didn’t win back to back, and deservedly so, but only 2 or 3 teams in history have accomplished what the Seahawks defense did in the early-mid 2010s.

It feels like there’s 3-5 games that define each decade of the NFL, and this is one of those games for the 2010s. One of the last great defenses we might ever see matched up against their main rival with an explosive offense for a chance to play in the superbowl
As a Seahawks fan, I just remember how nerve wrecking that whole game was. It was an amazing game. That era in Seattle was truly fun to watch. Hopefully they replicate that again soon.
Fans were comatose in the 1H. They were TERRIFIED of Kaep. The 40 Yd Beastmode TD and the Kearse TD catch had the 12's in a frenzy. I need to watch the NFL re-wind for the exact play, but there was a pass that Russ evaded defenders and hit his target (may have been the Baldwin or Miller throw?). That was when fans REALLY started to believe "we got this". A+, 10/10, 5-star game.
49ers-Seahawks rivalry was basically the NFC's version of Ravens-Steelers rivalry between 2011-14. Two Top Defensive squads duking it out for Division Titles and Championship contention
One of best Championship games between two bitter rivals I've ever watched. Competitive Championship pro football with long bitter history at it's best. So glad you guys did this. Great work.

This was my first year i started serouisly watching football, Seattle had such a great year and it made me set my expectations high from dissapointment.
It's May 5, 1993. We're at the Charlotte Coliseum for Game 4 of this first round matchup between the Boston Celtics and the Charlotte Hornets. The Celtics currently have a one point lead, but with 3.3 seconds left and no timeouts, the Hornets have a chance to inbound the ball and, if everything goes well, become the first of the four recent expansion teams to win a playoff series. To understand how we got to this point, we need to REWIND.
Awesome episode, as always. This is truly one of the best series in all of RUclips. I can’t wait till y’all make one on Montiel’s penalty to win the 2022 World Cup tho!
We will never see a rivalry like this again. EVER. Meaning, this was the tail end of the modern, golden era of football, before CTE/rules changes really came in, and affordability to go see the game for an average family went out the window. I am likely biased being a lifelong Seattle, but I think the pass play in the subsequent Super Bowl notwithstanding, the Seahawks of the LOB era WERE the GOAT dynasty of the modern era. Shout out to BEASTMODE! You deserved it, brother!!!
Needed a sharpie gate shout out at the beginning. Really the first division rivals moment in the Seahawks' first year in NFC West and first MNF game at Seahawks/Quest/Century Link/Lumen Field...even if they were few and far between from then and the Caroll/Harbaugh days.
Some details this video didn’t have time to cover. In an earlier game, Kam chancellor absolutely annihilated Vernon Davis on a side line pass that is still one of the hardest hits in NFL history- Davis was never same player after that hit. Also Kaepernicks “jump pass” touchdown to Anquon Boldin over the fingertips of Earl Thomas is one of the best and gutsiest passes I’ve ever witnessed in person. It was one of those plays where the fans werent even upset because it was so impressive. It’s rare, even in the NFL playoffs, to witness two true heavyweights duke it out like they did and I’m eternally grateful I got to see it. This is the kind of game you tell your grandkids about.
I was 13 when this game happened and I come back to it all the time. I hated Seattle at the time mostly because of Sherm’s trash talk, but nowadays that stuff is so nostalgic to me. The LOB was fearsome. Colin Kaepernick played some of his best and worst football in this game. He led an incredible drive leading up to the tipped INT. Kaep was dangerous when he was confident. His confidence just got the better of him against the best of the best. I still am a fan of his for the way he played the game, despite him now being known mainly for his activism. In short, this game was simply a damn good football game. One of my favorites of all time.
I was at this game with my dad, that atmosphere was unlike anything I have ever experienced and I’ve been to some great games… tv broadcasts don’t do it justice how loud that stadium is during every defensive snap
Sherman made such a great play on the ball in this game. I think the Tennessee vs. Georgia game in 2016 could make a cool Rewinder, 2 Hail Marys at the end of the game between two ranked teams.
Ughh, if only Harbaugh called Vernon Davis' number, he was on a tear those years and had huge playoff moments. The Catch III should have had it's sequel in the Super Bowl XLVII or in this moment.

Such a fun rivalry if you love blood and guts defensive battles. After this hard-fought game was over, Sherman was gracious in victory and gave props to his beaten opponent and they all had a nice moment together. Oh wait...

Richard Sherman: “Well, I’m The Best Corner In The Game. When You Try Me With A Sorry Receiver Like Crabtree, That’s The Result You’re Gonna Get!” “LOB!” That Thunderous Iconic Postgame Soundbite Will Never Get Old! 💚💙
Great video! Really was the beginning of the end of the Harbaugh years. Seeing that this was 10 years ago makes me feel old, but hopefully it will be redeemed Sunday. Would love to see a collapse on the LOB Seahawks though.
This was the most stressful game i have ever watched as a seahawks fan so glad we at least got 1 championship but damn we could have easily been a dynasty if we ran the damn ball.
8:16-8:19 "Spoiler, these guys don't like each other. Surely, there's a video about that somewhere," Check the upper corner to your right and you'll see "And here it is."
It had the feeling of a Super Bowl from the first offensive snap after the kickoff all the way to the end. Inches literally made the difference in this game. If Sherman was five inches shorter the course of the Seahawks & 49ers after this game would've alter everything. Perhaps Jim Harbaugh would still be the 49ers Head Coach even today.

I vividly remember the aftermath if this play happening cause at that time my buddy and I were leaving a hookah bar from Richardson, TX and the outside TVs of the place had Richard Sherman and his now iconic Crabtree diss rant playing and I can't believe that was 10 years ago, time sure flies by
I gotta watch this in order with the beef history episode
Sherman shttalk was Legendary. And Im a huge saints fan and in 2013 we got LOB'd so bad TWICE!
This rivalry was peek NFL, 2 best team's in the league by far
What can you say? If you try him with a sorry receiver like Crabtree that’s the result you’re going to get. 😂
the greatest game of football I will ever see
Such a fun rivalry if you love blood and guts defensive battles. After this hard-fought game was over, Sherman was gracious in victory and gave props to his beaten opponent and they all had a nice moment together. Oh wait...
Greatest moment in football history.
Nooooo -- you have to include Sherman's impromptu presser after. It's the most magical part of that play!
"I'M THE BEST CORNER IN THE GAME! WHEN YOU TRY ME WITH A SORRY RECEIVER LIKE CRABTREE, THAT'S THE RESULT YOU GONNA GET!!"
“Well I’m the best corner in the game. When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, THAT’S THE RESULTS YOU GON GET. DON’T YOU EVER TALK ABOUT ME” 😤😤
One of the best rivalries in the modern era
the fact that 49ers targeted CRABTREE multiple times is HILARIOUS to witness! and crabtree being a sore sport at the end lol that was icing on the cake then the WWE style interview! never FORGET
I love division rival games. Its just a different atmosphere. Go Rams!
Great video! Really was the beginning of the end of the Harbaugh years. Seeing that this was 10 years ago makes me feel old, but hopefully it will be redeemed Sunday.
Would love to see a collapse on the LOB Seahawks though.
Don’t bring this up for me mane, dark times 😭
Literally just watched the Sherman Crabtree beef history two days ago!!
Gotta have the interview after. Legendary
I would have sworn you did a rewind on this already, was surprised to see it was only 5 days old.
This was the most stressful game i have ever watched as a seahawks fan so glad we at least got 1 championship but damn we could have easily been a dynasty if we ran the damn ball.
Never knew Malcolm Smith was almost Mr. Irrelevant.
8:16-8:19 "Spoiler, these guys don't like each other. Surely, there's a video about that somewhere," Check the upper corner to your right and you'll see "And here it is."
I never realized how much time the 9ers had on that last play, it was such a weird decision to go for it all
finally of rewinder of this game 😫😫😫😫
2008 National Championship. Kansas vs Memphis. Mario's Miracle deserves a Deep Rewind.
As a Niners fan even though this was a devastating loss this is probably the best game in I’d seen in my lifetime , so entertaining
As a Niners fan this was heartbreaking.
The rivalry between those two for that 5-6 year stretch was the angriest I’ve even seen in my life
