nintendoboy17 now I'm wondering if she recognises Liara in ME3 if she goes with you in ME2..... but there's no way I'm playing through three games just to find that out.
Blue... Isn't the voice actress who does Jack, the voice actress that does the female sole survivor in fallout 4, who piper calls Blue? Because of the suit? Shit son... That's some Number 23 levels of conspiracy shit right there.
Her real first name is Karen. She is definitely the type to want to speak to the manager over the slightest problem. She wanted to talk to Shepard's manager while she ship she was on was actively exploding.
Upon meeting Jack, if Lair of the Shadow Broker was completed, Garrus, EDI, or James isn't brought along, and Shepard chooses to take a conciliatory tone towards Jack despite her assaulting the Commander, then Liara remarks she's forgotten how angry Jack was, whereas Jack replies she barely remembered "Blue" at all. Liara also reveals that Jack's real first name is Jennifer, and says she can also find the last name if Jack asks politely. If Lair of the Shadow Broker was not completed but the rest of the previous conditions apply, Liara just mentions she's heard about Jack's anger.
Well it's more 10/10 for authenticity than creativity lol... Blonde girls get called "Blondie"... red heads get called "Red"... someone gets a short nickname based on an obvious part of their appearance... so blue girl gets called "Blue". It makes perfect sense for the rogueish character that Jack is. It's textbook, in fact. Han-Solo called princess Leia "Princess". Joker calls Batman "Bats". Drack calls everyone "Kid". So many more examples. & all of the nicknames are squarely on the nose.... it just works for a character like that, guy. And it was a great comeback too.
She knows... - (only) the name of Jack: yes - first EDI was a robot spy: no - Tali's sexy apps: yes - where or what is Leviathan:no - Shepard's other LI: yes - Shepard's past with the Council: no (and she was on the Normandy!!! ) - who is her father:yes - the location of Cerberus base: no WORST SHADOWBROKER EVER
She's the last one you'd expect to see as the Broker, don't you think? She's only a couple years older than when you first met her in ME1, where she was only just considered barely an adult, and was naïve and carefree. Fast forward two and a half years and she's become the name that many consider as powerful as and Spectre, maybe even as powerful as the Council. But she doesn't hide away, keeping her face hidden. She's still young, still seems like she might be carefree and naïve, but that's far from the case now.
Kris Doyle True nuff' that change has to do with Shephard's death in ME2 , and her mission her drell friend , that was supposedly dead aswell , adds up , we have this Liara .
@@ksad96 Saran was trying to kidnap her, her mother died in her arms (or for me she did, but you still kill her mother), she finds her 50,000 year cycle extinction theory is correct and nobody believes them about the reapers, the person who was basically protecting her dies, she goes after their body and the person helping her who she has feelings for gets captured (she thinks killed for the 2 year period), she then feels guilty for handing over Shepard's body to Cerberus (for 2 years), then she becomes an information broker to take out the broker for revenge for Feron and Shepard's body (for which requires plenty of paranoia), then in ME3 she becomes dissolutioned with Javik/the protheans (if you have him) and then later on Thessia happens with her also now having to question her entire races history. Bonus: If you romance her, her original love interest was also dead for 2 years. It's a lot to go through in a couple years lol, just imagine how fast you might buckle down and change....there are still glimpses of her previous personality, though she doesn't open up much or relax; only really in romance, a little bit in ME2, or in the citadel DLC with the wild party after she's drunk (it's pretty funny lol). I'm guessing my Liara romance bias is just oozing from this comment, but just stating it now lol.
Jack: hey BLUE. Liara: I know more about your past than you do, your first name is Jennifer and your parents think you’re dead, I’ll tell you more if you apologise.
Jacqueline Nought. That's just a name she went by to avoid being caught by Cerberus after she escaped. "Jacqueline" is an elongated form of "Jack", and she chose the surname "Nought" as a reference to her identity as "Subject Zero".
Minimeister317 here you go. "If Jack did not survive Shepard's suicide mission, her name will be engraved in the memorial wall on the Normandy as Jacqueline Nought, a pseudonym she used at least once in the past." masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Jack#Lair_of_the_Shadow_Broker
Oh, okay. Thanks for the clarification. Makes sense for Jack/Subject Zero/Jaclyn Naught/Jennifer to just go "meh" to the potential of finding out who she was before Cerberus and go back to the matter at hand. Which involves killing a lot of Cerberus troops.
EvilPaladin11 as far as I remember Jack was kidnapped after she was born. There was na "before Cerberus" and at best she could meet her parents which she didn't care about.
In her various dossier files (between codex entries, cerberus entries, and the shadow broker's entries), it actually says that even though she went by that name for awhile, it was probably just a pseydonym, most obviously due to the fact that Nought means Zero, probably a reference to being "Subject Zero" back in her childhood.
Wait wait wait... Jacks name is JENNIFER? then why hell the fallen list on Normandy SR2 says her name is Jacquelin if she doesnt make it out alive from Omega 4?
You know someone at Bioware thinks they're very clever, and yet fails to realise that that pseudonym gives Jack way too much credit. I doubt Jack is educated enough to know "nought" is a word, even less how to use it in a sentence.
I hope BioWare actually reveals Jack's full name. Even the Illusive Man's real name is revealed in the comics. If BioWare actually releases a DLC showing the aftermath of ME3, I'd seriously buy it, even if it costs $20 and has ZERO combat action. Seeing how the relationship progresses with Jack is worth it.
All we know and probably will ever know is that her name is Jennifer. Bioware might not even have thought about coming up with a last name for her, for all we know. Anyway... What's TIM's real name? Never actually read the comics.
***** You're mistaken, dude. Twice actually. On the Mass Effect Wiki's trivia section on Jack's page this is what it says: "If brought along on the mission Grissom Academy: Emergency Evacuation, Liara reveals that Jack's real first name is Jennifer and offers to find out her last name." Here's the link for you to see for yourself ^^ www.masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Jack#Trivia
Liara: Id forgotten how angry she was. Jack: Whereas I barely remember you at all. Blue. Liara: Your real first name is Jennifer. I can find your last name if you ask politely.........game set match! Winner Liara!
selena8472 Well she did ignore Liara completely, so she probably made her peace with her past, and chose to see herself as Jack. "No, I am Jack. Not Subject Zero, not Jennifer, Jack."
How would Jack's real name be an Easter Egg? If anything it could only have been a reference to the voice actor, but since it's not Jack's voice actor it's just a coincidence.
Woah woah woah wait a minute Jack's real name isn't Jennifer its Jaqueline Nought. It was in the shadow broker's ship intel in the dossier console. Or was that a name Subject Zero made for herself?

Yea, Mass Effect has a tendency to do that... lol
@@MsDungeonDefender thanks for this information! After 5 years XD
Blue? *BLUE?* 10/10 for creativity, Bethesda...
What makes it even funnier is the female protagonist in Fallout 4 also voices Jack.
Wait....I get to play as her VA in Fallout 4? Well, eventually I'll have to do a female playthrough of it then.
...the fuck is wrong with using word Blue? It's just a fucking word, not some fancy name
Um, pretty sure this was Bioware not Bethesda....
She knows...
- (only) the name of Jack: yes
- first EDI was a robot spy: no
- Tali's sexy apps: yes
- where or what is Leviathan:no
- Shepard's other LI: yes
- Shepard's past with the Council: no (and she was on the Normandy!!! )
- who is her father:yes
- the location of Cerberus base: no
WORST
SHADOWBROKER
EVER
EDI was never a spy. She was a rogue AI in ME 1.
@@ДмитрийМачулин-ч3т I was talking about the first AI of Edi's body: doctor Eve.
If she can send footage of Tali using those apps she can quickly become the best one.
Whooo Liara's bark is worse than her bite!
She's kind of nature , and is the Shadow Broker , dunno how that adds up .
She's is a good info broker
It's insane how much of a roast that line was
Liara, always my favorite romance character.
Jack: hey BLUE.
Liara: I know more about your past than you do, your first name is Jennifer and your parents think you’re dead, I’ll tell you more if you apologise.
I'm pretty sure she was called Jaquiline. the dossiers from the shadow broker DLC. :P
Read above
Catarina Sforca Read what above?
Jacqueline Nought. That's just a name she went by to avoid being caught by Cerberus after she escaped. "Jacqueline" is an elongated form of "Jack", and she chose the surname "Nought" as a reference to her identity as "Subject Zero".
She used it as a fake name to submit poetry to a magazine, as we shaw in Shadowbroker.
Minimeister317 here you go.
"If Jack did not survive Shepard's suicide mission, her name will be engraved in the memorial wall on the Normandy as Jacqueline Nought, a pseudonym she used at least once in the past."
masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Jack#Lair_of_the_Shadow_Broker
“The girl’s a biotic killer? Her real name is Jenny.”
Is this an 8 mile reference?
Did Jack react to that at all or did she just ignore it and go back to talking to Shepard?
No, she just continued talking to Shepard as usual, that's why it's cut.
EvilPaladin11 Jack automatically ignores any sentence that includes the premise of politeness.
Dinonumber
LOL! Yeah that's her alright.
It's funny how when they announce the remaster that RUclips starts throwing vids at you like a stripper getting dollar bills
Blue lol
In her various dossier files (between codex entries, cerberus entries, and the shadow broker's entries), it actually says that even though she went by that name for awhile, it was probably just a pseydonym, most obviously due to the fact that Nought means Zero, probably a reference to being "Subject Zero" back in her childhood.
DUN DUN DUUuuuuuunnnnn!!!!
I wish there had been an option to punch Jack back. But, I guess the game would have ended when Shepard and the Biotic went at it :P
Wait wait wait... Jacks name is JENNIFER? then why hell the fallen list on Normandy SR2 says her name is Jacquelin if she doesnt make it out alive from Omega 4?
It says 'Jacquelin' somewhere else, too...Don't remember where, though.
Poetry stuff I think. Could just be her pen name.
LotSB? Sounds familiar...
Her file in the Shadow Broker base lists her as "Jacqueline Nought".
You know someone at Bioware thinks they're very clever, and yet fails to realise that that pseudonym gives Jack way too much credit. I doubt Jack is educated enough to know "nought" is a word, even less how to use it in a sentence.
That scene when Jack hit you is hilarious if you wear a full armor, she's basically breaking her hand on your helmet ^^
you havd seen her punch a mech in half right?
@@Dilllonm She don't use her biotic on us, she don't want to kill us (i hope ^^ ), it's a normal punch
she even talks like siri
things just got really interesting in here
OML I THOUGHT HER REAL NAME WAS JACK LML Jennifer is a cute name doe
Shepard: I know what I'm screaming later.
It's Jack Harper, according to the guys at the Mass Effect Wiki
***** You're mistaken, dude. Twice actually. On the Mass Effect Wiki's trivia section on Jack's page this is what it says:
"If brought along on the mission Grissom Academy: Emergency Evacuation, Liara reveals that Jack's real first name is Jennifer and offers to find out her last name."
Here's the link for you to see for yourself ^^
www.masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Jack#Trivia
What I want is the full name. Jennifer "What"? Jennifer Lopez? Jennifer Gardner? Jennifer Connelly? Jennifer Lawrence? Jennifer Love Hewitt?
***** I'm okay with two of these.
When I first met Jack, I kept calling her “JLo.”
When I heard Liara say Jennifer, I smiled.
"and Nought means "Zero" in another language."
Yeah, English.
There could be different versions like Null.
When you put it that way, it makes ALL THE SENSE IN THE WORLD!
lol:D Liara is a savage
The awkvard moment when you play as FemShep who is also named Jennifer...
Woah Blue where did all that salt come from?
La Esmeralda she becomes more salty and cynical after me 2
She goes through a lot in 3 years.
She took Shepard's death harder than anyone else, and is responsible for Cerberus recovering his body when the Collectors were after it.
I could imagine there being a clone garrus, and Fem Shep has to shoot one, so she asks them what her first name is, and they are both clueless! XD
This is the setting from Masseffect 4: Attack of clones?
Haha! Will we se The Grand Army Of The Republic in that game?
Funny because there will be a Mass Effect 4 now, it’s currently in development
God I miss this trilogy so much 😢.
Liara has but one rule
Heh heh heh
You guys are awesome.

8 years later I get Recommended this video by RUclips? RUclips is slacking.
Liara: Id forgotten how angry she was. Jack: Whereas I barely remember you at all. Blue. Liara: Your real first name is Jennifer. I can find your last name if you ask politely.........game set match! Winner Liara!
Took the words right out of my mouth, Kasumi.
wait?Jennifer? wow i prefer jack Jennifer doesn't suit her but just mho
We all got used to it right? I do think Jennifer suits her pretty well, but "Jack" certainly has a certain...thing that adds to the character!
selena8472 Well she did ignore Liara completely, so she probably made her peace with her past, and chose to see herself as Jack. "No, I am Jack. Not Subject Zero, not Jennifer, Jack."
Excellent choice commander !!!
I wonder if Jennifer Hale has anything to do with Jack's real name.
I love these games. Still finding new stuff even now
Ouch, Bitchy Liara :/
Especially that bottle of Ryncol you tossed at a C-Sec shuttle once.
Isn't her name an Easter egg isn't fem sheps voice actor Jennifer hale
How would Jack's real name be an Easter Egg? If anything it could only have been a reference to the voice actor, but since it's not Jack's voice actor it's just a coincidence.
OfficialGreekz The fail is strong with this one.
olstar18 "This one" could be many. This one says this one is confused.
OfficialGreekz Apparently you are to stupid to notice that the reply was to you. Notice how your name is in blue at the front of it.
olstar18 FYI you just edited that in and i know it. I'm not stupid. it wasnt there and its not youtube magicc, blocked kid.
That punch/slap tho...
Woah woah woah wait a minute Jack's real name isn't Jennifer its Jaqueline Nought. It was in the shadow broker's ship intel in the dossier console. Or was that a name Subject Zero made for herself?
Ruth Ortega It was just an alias she used for this poetry site
Yea its a shame we can't know more about her on a personal level.
Ruth Ortega It was just an alias. Jack -> Jacqueline, Subject ZERO -> Nought. Just like The Joker from DC sometimes goes by Jack White.
Jack, Jaqueline, Jennifer? I'm the girl with the gun. (Evil dead reference missed by Bioware)
DrDemonHarlequin Wasn't he called Jack Napier before becoming the Joker?
you gotta taste the last shot right before popping the heat sink...yeah.
Don't piss the Shadow Broker, sis
Either that or he's planning for when the bottles revolt
Essentially, dont fuck with the quite ones. They know things.
Garrus took a missle to the face, Somehow I feel that beats your Arrow to the knee....
You don't mess with the Shadow Broker!!!
Lol
Now we need a video of jack shooting things set to the song Jenny's got a gun 🔫
This is the first string of comments I have read through to completion completely enthralled and actually wished there was more to read. God damn... let's all get together and make our own Mass Effect game. You guys sure would have a lot of fun writing the dialogue.
Thank you, that's nice of you to say :)
