- Experience some of the funniest and ridiculously evil renegade Shepard moments from Mass Effect.
If you haven't completed a renegade Shepard play through, then I'd highly suggest you do so (if you can stomach some of the insanely evil choices). Mass Effect has some of the very best morality choices out of all the Bioware titles, and I have to say this game is defiantly a favourite in my opinion.

he meant their species in a general term which was true. He wasn't talking about individuals. Actually both of those gentleman are outcasts and not the prototypical representation of their race. So I doubt they were even offended.

ME1 Renegade was a little over the top, and it feels like Bioware didn't want to lean in on being legitimately evil and cruel. Mass Effect 2 and 3 Renegade had their funny moments, but also was plain mean or downright *heartless* on many occasions.

Think a lot of writers have trouble writing "mean" or "heartless" actions that come across as natural reactions. It doesn't help that a lot of people have some baseline level of empathy for others, even for fictional characters. So for a lot of us, many of these Renegade responses just come across as over the top and unnecessary for the given situations.

I can never go full renegade because it gets too depressing later on, but I love watching these videos because being the galaxy’s biggest asshole can also be so damn funny
Same. I could never play that way but Bioware is very dedicated to even offer these these options.
The save editor is absolutely wonderful to experience the Renegade path. You can avoid the absolute worst of it, and just get the badass moments.

I tried to rush through that mission a few days ago and pressed dialogue a bit haphazardly, then suddenly I punched him in the face. Didn't even know it was an option. As I always go paragon, I never pressed it, just figured the "I can shut him up!" option was just gonna be a threat.

Mass Effect 1 has some of the most comically serious renegade dialogue and actions in like the entire series. It's amazing how even though ME2 introduced interrupts and stuff, Mass Effect 1 still kinda beats it in raw dialogue when you're doing your best to be the biggest dick in the universe.
ME1 renegade is smart ass shepard. ME2 renegade is badass shepard. Both were hilarious. ME3 shepard was the coldest and wasn't very funny at all.

its both hilarious but also kinda sad to see Conrad just cry like a child. He's obviously not all there so it's so mean but it's also just so funny too.

Evil Shepard is incoherent. He doesn't have time to "waste" it on the enslaved colonists and is fine with killing them but he also think it's bad that the thorian enslaved them. So what is it? Guy wants to save the galaxy but kills unarmed people without a second thought. Seems like the only reason why he's fighting against Saren is because he's afraid of the competition.

After I maximized my paragon meter, I started to attempt renegade options whenever it’s possible. Sometimes the situation is just too stupid and I wanna sarcasm it so hard like a normal person will do.
I usually like to play as a positive and well liked character in every game I play but being evil and a dick is so much more fun and hilarious.
I played FemShep as likable and noble. I'm playing Male Shep as a likable dickhead

Most of the Renegade moments I encountered, I found because I was expecting the option to be not quite as abrasive as it turned out to be.

14:47 I love how Bioware decided to make a guy "who will be trying to stop your way to a ship" be voiced by the same actor. Davik Kang from SW: KOtoR was also voiced by Charles Dennis, if anyone didn't noticed.
I always go full Paragon when i play but watching this makes me realize that Commander Shepard can be really terrifying, creepy but badass at the same time when being Renagade, thats good to know xD

I wish it looked and ran this good. I highly doubt the upcoming remaster will run at 60fps but so long as it's a consistent fps I'm happy.

My favorite Renegade line/comeback in ME1 has gotta be when Admiral Mikaelovich comes to inspect the Normandy and he says, “Commander I am NOT happy.” And Shepard just replies with, “Seems like a fairly common occurrence.” 💀💀💀
yeah - as amusing as dismissing Mikhailovich right off the bat is, actually letting him do the inspection and then responding like a smartass at his observations is even funnier.
In the end renegade shepard kills more people than reapers... 🤣😂
Liara was so cute and funny back in ME1 (even more so if you recruit her as late as possible, preferably after Virmire). She's ok in later games, but I still prefer her in ME1.

Renegade is the best for 1 and 2. In 3 you are basically just sabotaging everything you’ve worked for and screwing over everyone in spite of the mission.
Yup. It was originally a more extreme solution to a problem that also made sense. In mass effect 3 it's almost always just a wrong choice that results in you getting less war effort. A shame.

@@spartanq7781 Ikr. The scene is so dumb, no way Shepard is taking Wrex down that easily. Shepard knocks Wrex down on the ground,a KROGAN, with one hit from the butt of his gun, and this is Shepard pre lazarus project before all the cybernetic upgrades. I call bullshit on that scene. The ME3 fight with Wrex was at the very least was more believable.
@@emmanuel4989 He knocked him down so easily because Wrex trusts Shepard and only pulled the gun on him to try to coerce him or to get him to listen
@@awesomedolphin9675 Even if Wrex wasn't expecting it one hit from the butt of a shotgun from a human should not be able to drop him. Krogan are amongst the most strongest and durable species in the galaxy and Wrex is no ordinary krogan, he took out a thresher maw on foot. Again if this is Shepard after the lazarus project it would be a bit more believable, but in mass effect 1? I don't buy it.
Mass Effect 1 with these textures and fidelity looks better than the sequels. It had the best atmosphere it just lacked polish. This makes me yearn even more for the remaster. Though I doubt it will look this good.
I just loved how they made a real effort into the hard sci-fi thing. The very detailed codex, the mission briefings... I felt like I had an actual job!
@@VRichardsn I hated how the rest of the series only ever cared about dumb action and Cerberus. They took too much focus away from I actually cared about and the series suffered for it.
