yeah, i think star wars is finally trying to get away from the whole "character dies, has huge emotional impact, but oh guess what they're actually alive so nevermind!" it just makes it mean so much more when death is a finality, although they've inadvertently trained the fans to always look everywhere for the death fakeout so much that we don't fully grieve a character because we always have that doubt in the back of our mind. Like "Stop assuming a character is someone you know just because they wear a cool helmet. We're not going to do that every time." I desperately want the next show to be a rebellion era series with Luke, Han, Leia, Omega, Hera, Rex, Echo... Give us all the heroes fighting the Empire. Cross over all the things!
When you think about, the two were on almost opposite trajectories during the OT era - Omega's kind of an idealist who ultimately joins the Rebellion because that's the right thing to do, while Boba's a cynical bounty hunter who only looks out for himself - it's only after his near-death experience and the events afterwards that he starts developing his own set of ideals. Imagine the two meeting way after Boba went through all that shit.

The show, via Hemlock, literally told us there wasn't really anything left of Tech other than his glasses. That's what happened in the plot. He had no motive to lie. Some of the best Star Wars, and a fantastic arc for Omega. I love that she already had the kids out and was wreaking havoc by the time her brothers arrived. From Mon Mothma openly recruiting pilots to join their cause to the Rebellion that Luke joined, there's the gap for where this final scene fits into. Personally, I think this is right around the Jyn Erso/Saw Gererra timeline. The shadow operative with the red goggle-looking eyes was definitely Tech, but no longer Tech. Hemlock told Hunter, "If you survive, you'll make a fine operative". Tech survived, and made a fine operative.
What went down for the clones between this and Rebels remains a frustrating mystery. Plus how Rex is pretty hesitant to get out of retirement and how paranoid and scared Wolffe is of the Empire and Jedi.
There's the possibility of Omega running into Saw Gerrera , it's not impossible for Omega to cross paths with the Ghost crew or she could encounter established leaders like Bail Organa and Mon Mothma. The Mandalorian ( season 3) and Ahsoka take place around the same timeline.
It wasn't Tech. A few months was not time to heal him, break the strongest mind of the batch, and then do all of the operative training. That would take years. 🎤 - drop.
Best friends, I WAS NOT READY FOR THE HAPPY ENDING! I sobbed at the shot of all four of them sitting on Pabu, then just kept sobbing through Omega leaving after.
I'm glad they let tech stay dead. Too many sacrifices get undone these days. Bold choice. I also like the way you never really know about the brainwashed clones. Maybe they killed Cody? Maybe they didn't. It gives them more mystery. I am assuming tantis will stay sealed until heir to the empire.
Nala Se’s death worked in part because it wasn’t a complete moral turn - she was ALWAYS loyal to Kaminoa, including committing atrocities to advance their science, fulfill their contracts, and protect their secrets - and she died killing the guy who destroyed their civilization and keeping Kaminoan science out of the hands of their enemies.
Great finale, and a nice way to leave things open for future projects. I'd love the next project, possibly animated, to be set immediately after Return of the Jedi and before Mando/Sequel Trilogy. Loads that they can still do with that time period, and Omega would be a great perspective character to do that with.
I am happy with this ending and cried. A beautiful closure for now to a fantastic series! Our Omega grown up is beautiful and a force to be reckoned with. I hope she reconnects with Hera. ❤
oh my god I just started watching the video and I'm already in agreement with everything you're saying. This show is soooo gooood and it needs so much more recognition.
The fact that this series was so well written is killing me that it is now over! We need another 5 seasons, of an equally good series following some of the similar characters! I am gonna miss these misfits!
36:20 One thing to note, Scorch’e helmet lights were still active. The other Commandos we’ve seen die have their lights deactivate when they die. The hits didn’t kill him, but the fall is bound to.
but we've also seen Clone Commando's lights go out when they get knocked out....as when Omega and Crosshair's escape from Tantiss, Crosshair knocks out a commando and his helmet faceplate light goes out.
@@reality8470 Not really....the next point in the timeline that you see Rex he is on a pretty deserted planet with Gregor and Wolfe riding around on an Old Republic walker 'Slingin Jupas' and getting fat.....
I'm so glad none of the Batch died. Except Tech then😥 I want to see more. Many believed that it would not be good without deaths. I don't understand that. I am very glad that they all seem happy. My favorite Hunter survived and is old ❤

I completely understand how people feel about Scorch and how he was handled but I can see them bring him back. Especially when we supposedly see him again at 39 : 47 in the episode at the bottom left. Yeah this show has had some animation errors with floating helmets and holding invisible blasters but slapping a very stand out paint job on a character they showed off getting "killed" like 5 minutes ago like they can't be that careless.
BEST SERIES EVER!!!! MY GOSH! had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Omega is such an amazing character 😢. Love your reactions. Felt like we got to watch the whole series with you two!🎉 I also love how they all new whether Omega was behind the chaos or not😅 "Echo or Omega? OMEGA!" 😊
I think the next show will focus on the Clone Rebellion: What happened with Rex, Gregor and Echo now when they are off fighting for their clone brothers. What happened to Cody. How did Wolffe finally join Rex? And we will for sure see Echo die in that one as he's not around when we meet Rex, Gregor and Wolffe in Rebels. Beyond that this episode certainly set up for something featuring Omega in the rebellion.
”Hello there Tarkin your sexy imperial beast!” 😂 KyleKatarn se1ep1. Best comment of the series. Always a pleasure watching your reactions. See you in tales of the Empire
@jetblast190 6 hours ago (edited) Five things I really liked: 1. Rex didn’t show up with the Calvary, they stayed true to the show’s name and the Bad Batch was the Calvary. 2. Rampart stayed true to himself, an opportunist (they didn’t try to make him a hero). 3. While I knew Crosshair was going to make that shot, I still felt a great unease that he could miss…great buildup to that tension. 4. They didn’t make Omega force sensitive, at least I see nothing that suggests it. She’s a capable pilot trained by Tech and the rest of the Batch. 5. All the rumors and speculation that Tech had survived to become a Clone X were thankfully wrong. Tech died a hero’s death…Plan 99! What I’m still missing: an explanation as to Cody’s fate.
I am guessing that the epilogue scene was sometime before Rebels since older Hunter wasn't as gray and grizzled as Rex, Wolffe, and Gregor were in Rebels.
Zillo Beast = Space Godzilla! It was a great ending were the Batch completed their mission and then were able to retire. Looking forward to the Omega Chronicles.
Such a satisfying finale. So that last scene is obviously left up in the air as to exactly when it happens, but we can make some inferences. Omega looks to be at least in her late teens or early 20s, so definitely hasn't been the 19 years or whatever when ANH happens. Hunter is older and more grizzled, but he's more salt n pepper rather than silver fox like Rex, Gregor, and Wolff are in Rebels, another thing that points to this being pre-Rebels and certainly pre-OT. This could be as far back as around the time of Kenobi, if you consider that one 501st bum on the street he looks to be about the same age as Hunter is here. I don't know if I'd solidly put it around the same time as Kenobi took place, but somewhere between there & Andor/Rebels/Rogue One. It's probably closer to then but maybe a little ways before any of those start, there's like a 5-10 year gap it fits in well. We know Kenobi doesn't really have any formal Rebellion in that time period, and of course Andor & Rebels show us that they're forming but not cohesive enough yet to really be openly looking for combat pilots until basically the end of Rebels and then Rogue One. The CX clones were inconsequential road blocks. It's Marrok 2.0, all over again. Mystery characters don't need to be someone we know, just let it go. There's something there with the goggle helmet, but I seriously doubt he was meant to be Tech. Like if we were to get leaked asset information I doubt the character sheet says "Tech CX Variant" for that model. That was purely done to feed the rampant online speculation. Do yourselves a favor and look up the "Too Many Cooks" skit from a couple years back, it's a rip on a bunch of 80s & 90s sitcom opening credits combined with slasher horror films and it's hilarious.
I’m glad they let echo fight more this final episode showing why he’s still an arc trooper

THANK. YOU. That’s such a good point that I don’t ever see anyone make.
Great finale, and a nice way to leave things open for future projects. I'd love the next project, possibly animated, to be set immediately after Return of the Jedi and before Mando/Sequel Trilogy. Loads that they can still do with that time period, and Omega would be a great perspective character to do that with.
“Did he just get Jamie Lannistered?” Classic
He got what he deserved......
@@Amiko-do4dj What?!!!!
@@DavidNigro-fu4dc It's what Crosshair kept saying.....'It's what I deserve,,,'
I am happy with this ending and cried. A beautiful closure for now to a fantastic series! Our Omega grown up is beautiful and a force to be reckoned with. I hope she reconnects with Hera. ❤
The zillo beast escaping gave me such a vibe of the Coruscant attack of the Zillo
Worthy finale for an excellent series.
oh my god I just started watching the video and I'm already in agreement with everything you're saying. This show is soooo gooood and it needs so much more recognition.
I was so relieved to see this ending!! It made me so happy!
“A chance to fight for a cause we believed in…”
"Project Necromancer" has major Sauron vibes. Mount Tantiss is the Star Wars equivalent of Dol Guldur.
The fact that this series was so well written is killing me that it is now over! We need another 5 seasons, of an equally good series following some of the similar characters! I am gonna miss these misfits!
The republic commando fans got the bad ending
"Clone Force 99 died with Tech."
Such a good line. Right up there with "Find him. Find him. Fives. Find him. FIVES!" Imo.
Idk if they have another series regarding Rex and his cell I’d be surprised if Scorch doesn’t show up again
@@reality8470 Not really....the next point in the timeline that you see Rex he is on a pretty deserted planet with Gregor and Wolfe riding around on an Old Republic walker 'Slingin Jupas' and getting fat.....
@@Amiko-do4dj yeah but he had to meet Wolfe at some point, plus something will likely happen with Echo and the other clones, not to mention Cody
@@reality8470 He did meet Wolfe.....When Wolfe led the Extraction Team.....
We need Tech's goggles as a dashboard cosmetic in Squadrons now.
I had a gut feeling while watching the episode that we'd see an ISD finally make an appearance. No surprise that it's with Tarkin
I'm so glad none of the Batch died. Except Tech then😥 I want to see more. Many believed that it would not be good without deaths. I don't understand that. I am very glad that they all seem happy. My favorite Hunter survived and is old ❤
Damn, Bendu went CRAZY with the Tarkin prediction
Clicked on this SO damn fast! So sad to see the end of an era, but have loved, loved, loved watching along with you both! Here's to what's coming next. May be force be with you, always ❤❤❤❤
Rampart really out here discovering instant karma
End of the Clone Era with Omega off the join the Rebellion ❤very emotional ending😢
Y’all see the ship Omega left on in the end? That means she’s involved with Hera Syndulla in some way!
BEST SERIES EVER!!!! MY GOSH! had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Omega is such an amazing character 😢. Love your reactions. Felt like we got to watch the whole series with you two!🎉
I also love how they all new whether Omega was behind the chaos or not😅 "Echo or Omega? OMEGA!" 😊
34:15: I was about to say, “We have a hulk.” Haha
I think the next show will focus on the Clone Rebellion:
What happened with Rex, Gregor and Echo now when they are off fighting for their clone brothers. What happened to Cody. How did Wolffe finally join Rex? And we will for sure see Echo die in that one as he's not around when we meet Rex, Gregor and Wolffe in Rebels.
Beyond that this episode certainly set up for something featuring Omega in the rebellion.
”Hello there Tarkin your sexy imperial beast!” 😂
KyleKatarn se1ep1.
Best comment of the series.
Always a pleasure watching your reactions. See you in tales of the Empire

Five things I really liked:
Bring on the solo adventures of Omega!
Yes!! This!! ☝🏼
Or rogue squadron!
omg yes!
I’m betting they’re working on it
I keep coming back to this channel every few years, watch Star Wars stuff with you guys then dip, glad to see it still going strong. Until next time
Such a satisfying finale.
Omega’s gonna meet up with Hera & the Ghost squad in either the next animated show or possibly Ahsoka Season 2 👀‼️🙌🏼
