- SCP 999 is a Safe Class anomaly also known as The Tickle Monster.
SCP 914 is a Safe class anomaly also known as The Clockworks.
SCP-999 appears to be a large, amorphous, gelatinous mass of translucent orange slime, weighing about 54 kg (120 lbs) with a consistency similar to that of peanut butter.
Simply touching SCP999 ’s surface causes an immediate mild euphoria, which intensifies the longer one is exposed to SCP-999, and lasts long after separation from the creature.
SCP-914 is a large clockwork device weighing several tons consisting of screw drives, belts, pulleys, gears, springs and other clockwork. It is incredibly complex, consisting of over eight million moving parts. When an object is placed in the Intake Booth, a door slides shut, and a small bell sounds. If the knob is turned to any position and the key wound up, SCP914 will “refine” the object in the booth.

I think several factors led to this outcome. One, 999 is still very young, and likely doesn't have the control or emotional maturity to handle such a vast increase in power. Two, it isn't the same 999 we all know and love. The machine doesn't just enhance. it replaces. This 999 is a much different entity.
Basically, in order to truly be the counter the world needs, 999 must have the time to grow naturally, and find the emotional maturity and understanding to keep the effects of his powers under control.

I had always assumed that 999 would destroy the world. My thought was that, if it was the Scarlet King's son, he was a tool that everyone misunderstood and instead of opposing Daddy would pacify the world to death, or at least pacify it while the Scarlet King destroyed everything. Just because something makes you feel good doesn't mean that it can't do harm.
You misunderstand the strength of 999's mother; the only one who was strong enough to not be broken by the Scarlet King; the father that raped her repeatedly. All her children were great warriors and forces of good; but not strong enough to break the Scarlet King's might. Her spirit possessed the one human girl that survived a very ugly ritual that cost the lives of six other women who had the same fate befall them; that human girl gave birth to 999 (in many versions of the story that allows for the 110 Montauk procedure to be discontinued). 999, this final effort, has only the misfortune of being an infant, and thus lacking the wisdom that comes with age. Had it been able to grow up naturally, yes, very likely it would have understood the whole "balance" thing. This 999 in the video did not see for itself the beauty of creation in wiping out everything that could conceive of the Scarlet King, because it wiped out the power of creation on Earth. The Scarlet King saw it, finally, but 999 was too young to understand. Only "Replace Evil With Good and make sure Daddy can't come back".

@@Mrhade5 if this universe of the Foundation has a series of follow up episodes then this might be its last episode and since the teller said the SK is gone in all dimensions then there isn't any reason for him to show up in any future videos.
999 technically exist in other worlds since 682 also exist in some of them but not the Crimson Kahn.
I'm still waiting to see the universe with 049 and day breaks and 035 who took over the world.

Ok, we can confirm that the whole "replaces" thing with SCP-914 is in fact _not_ true, except for possibly the 1:1 setting. One researcher gained access to 914 in bad faith and used it basically as a cosmetic enhancement device when set on "fine". The researcher ended up coming out of the machine with the desired enhancements. They were terminated afterwards for violating the strictly enforced rules of testing but for all intents and purposes they were completely the same person, barring the enhancements.

No, it's not. I've read through the ACTUAL page for it on the official site (not the Wikia-based fansite, which shouldn't even exist because the official site is in wiki format to begin with), it makes absolutely no mention of it. And the experiment logs further debunk that.

That’s a great idea ending finale for the SCP Foundation multiverse against the Scarlet King vs SCP 999! A battle between Pure Good vs Pure Evil. I wish someone can make this epic story to happen in the SCP Wiki, a wonderful and satisfying ending against this multiversal evil conqueror who is the Scarlet King once and for all that he’s reign of terror has finally has come to an end.
I feel like a battle between the scarlet king and the God-Emperor of Mankind would be a very interesting one. Both have god like children/tools that can duke it out as well
The ultimate battle of light vs dark, one hellbent on destroying creation and the other dedicated to save humanity and in advertently the rest of creation from the forces of chaos.

I think if the setting was put to "Fine", SCP 999 would of had new abilities that would counter balance The Scarlet King's destructive nature other than just tickling. Kinda like a biblical angle but made of orange jello.

Perhaps someone woke up SCP 239 Witch Girl, in the same vein as the junior researcher putting 999 in the Clockworks. How is 343 taking this? What about 001 Gate Guardian? This could be a mini series, like the "When Day Breaks" series.

I don't understand why the setting was put to "Vary Fine" when all we needed was to make 999 grow up. "Fine" would of worked perfectly in this scenario.
The Researcher that (technically) saved the world from The Scarlet King, _had he been instructed properly_ by the O-5 Council, would have known better. He wasn't, he didn't, he made the best guess he could. Instead of humanity suffering torment and torture at the hands of The Scarlet King and his minions, they were 'released from life' by absolute bliss. He overdid it, not because he wanted to, but because no one took him seriously and taught him the crash course on 914.
I feel more like refinement of absolute goodness would have undone the carnage of this scarlet king, to the extent where no one ever was harmed by it, leaving the foundation wondering who on earth left the loving blob inside the intake booth of the clockworks this lovely evening.

Very Fine SCP-999 went all Planet Kirby on the world. I know we're all dead in this situation, but for some reason, I can't feel anything but happy.
