- SCP 096 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as The Shy Guy.
SCP 914 is a Safe Class anomaly also known as The Clockworks.
SCP-096 is a humanoid creature measuring approximately 2.38 meters in height. Subject shows very little muscle mass, with preliminary analysis of body mass suggesting mild malnutrition.
SCP096 is normally extremely docile, with pressure sensors inside its cell indicating it spends most of the day pacing by the eastern wall. However, when someone views SCP-096's face, whether it be directly, via video recording, or even a photograph, it will enter a stage of considerable emotional distress. SCP096 will cover its face with its hands and begin screaming, crying, and babbling incoherently. Approximately one (1) to two (2) minutes after the first viewing, SCP-096 will begin running to the person who viewed its face.
SCP-914 is a large clockwork device weighing several tons and covering an area of eighteen square meters, consisting of screw drives, belts, pulleys, gears, springs and other clockwork.
When an object is placed in the Intake Booth, a door slides shut, and a small bell sounds. If the knob is turned to any position and the key wound up, SCP914 will “refine” the object in the booth.

Honestly, I'm just baffled Bonita's first thought was to convert 096 under the Very Fine setting. For all she knew, it would've turned him into an even more powerful, more anomalous killer SCP.

The very fine setting usually applies an anomalous attribute to the matter applied to the things in the intake chamber. Meaning, him being more beautiful than the average looking David statue is infact, the improvement
I fully expected a kind of Narcissus or Aphrodite transformation, where everyone that looked at him fell in love and would die for him.
It won't turn him into a more dangerous scp because there was that statue In there
The fact that once he starts speaking, he talks about how he’s aware of the damages he’s caused makes him all the more sadder. He truly is aware of what he does, he just has no control over it

2, After the recontainment/killing, he cries again, or something to that note.

Everybody gangsta till SCP - 096 is classified as safe and free to roam facility
The one thing that elevates 096 over most other murder monsters is his sympathetic side.
He doesn’t want to kill but some anomalous trauma forces him too, whoch only compounds the trauma further.
So this is a nice ending for him. It appears superficial at first but in the end it isn’t just that he’s hot it’s that he was remade into the beautiful person he really deserved to be.
Not only did Dr.Bonita survive seeing SCP 096’s face, she also got away with an experiment that would be unauthorized, got a dream boyfriend that she fell in love with at first sight and basically had her dreams come true. This woman is the luckiest person i have ever seen, even fictionally

You know it's kind of dark coming back to watch this after watching the 999 vs the scarlet king episode, and understanding better what exactly 914 does to living creatures. Knowing that now both means that researcher that used 914 to improve her appearance inadvertently killed herself and was replaced with a copy. The same is the same for 096, infact that might be why he no longer goes into a rage when viewing his original face, it's technically not his face anymore it's the face of his predecessor which was erased

No, he gets most of his power from rage and determination. He will lose a lot of power since he has lost those feelings though. However, he will still be a very powerful scp, as he still can regain those feelings, just not completely.

this was far better than anything with scp-096 involved than i can ever think of. I love wholesome endings, especially when the icon of "you are screwed" in the scp universe is a part of it.
I had always questioned what would happen if scp-096s appearance changed to a one in wich it wasnt ashamed of being seen. Im happy to see this is technically canon
Honestly, I'm going to consider this the canonical ending to 096's story, he's honestly one of very few SCP entities I've felt deserved a happy ending. The fact it also includes the scientist that otherwise might have lost her job over her recklessness not only keeping her job for permanently pacifying a previously constant ticking time bomb, but also potentially getting literally the most handsome boyfriend in the world (likely foundation approved to continue as to not cause a negative reaction in 096), I'd say this is is a well-deserved ending for an entity suffering that long.
Kinda lowkey begs the question... what happens to Dr. Dan in this timeline? Since 096 is permanently pacified via giga Chad transformation, Dr. Dan will probably be executed. Kinda ironic, too, because he never actually destroyed 096.

I feel like at this point, according to this channel, SCP-914 is a machine which if you don’t specifically want something, you get something random. But if you specifically want something, you get what you want. I think that’s really nice of SCP-914.
Yeah, which really takes away the scariness of it. Especially if set to "very fine". I'm pretty sure the last documented time a human went in, they gained superstrength and superspeed and had to be killed. But it lengthening your hair and smoothing your skin on VERY FINE?

If I remember the wiki entry and related tales well enough, 914 does sort of read your mind when transmuting the object. The mad super speed, super strength man that got mentioned in someone's else comment was a D-Class with a record for murder and other violent tendencies, the doctor in charge had read his record and that was his preconception of him. Perhaps the girl that put herself on very fine had a preconception of her ideal self, and the machine read that.

Not only is he handsome and pure of heart, but he’s likely stronger too due to the very fine setting. They’re lucky that statue was in there, or else you’d have an even stronger murder machine.
One interesting thing is that if a containment breach were to happen now, perhaps David would be able to help them contain it. If SCP-096 was near indestructible before, what about now? Perhaps it could even go toe-to-toe with SCP-682? That would be a battle for the ages.

This has to be one of my favorites, if not, my favorite wholesome SCP story.
096 has always been a tragic scp, i think it's almost certain that it has no real desire to harm people in most SCP canons and i'm glad that, even in just this one timeline, it finally managed to find peace and happiness, not just being destroyed or contained so it can (hopefully) no longer harm people.

This was great. The only thing I missed is someone asking the new SCP-096 about its origins and history. That would have been one of my first questions to it, now that it can talk.

He was a human who met the king of mountains and made him climb the mountains again and again before reaching the top in order to stay alive after years i think he became the 096 and the only reason he kills everyone who watches him is because it reminds the ayes of the king of the mountains

I feel like there would be a reverse effect, that 096 is just so beautiful that it makes the viewer try to get to it at all costs, possibly tearing the person apart if the path wasn't easy enough.

Sometimes it really does feel like they have a bunch of solution SCPs and don't bother to use them.
Considering 096’s origin story was he was an adventurer and having people look at his face made him think the king of the mountain was looking at him again, his new form must’ve made him feel human again, like he wasn’t turned into a monster for the king of the mountains pleasure.
I love this new version of 096, hopefully more anomalies would've improved in a way similar to this with the machine, but you take what you can get.
I think the foundation would be out of a job but it would be interesting.
