I have mine for 18months. Persoanlly i bought it for the look of it. Traded in my CF650MT . It really is a great machine. it handles brilliant on those pirreli tyres. I am going to get the ecu & airbox upgrade done by throttlepunks (about £500) so, if what they say is accurate, it will have 7 more horse powers and bunch more torques which will make it even better again. Only gripe for me is the 13 litre tank. Ride it easy, ye can scrap 160 miles out of it. ride it properly, this will drop to about 120 or even less. They should have had a 16 litre tank. This is my experience on the CLX700 ADV.
Thank you for this presentation. I'm shure this bike is cool to "whip" in the corners! Good brakes, good STRs, good (but ugly-gold) suspensions... The sound of the 180° twin never pleased me... With a rear fender in the same style (Yamaha) as the front one.... With a black fork... With a redesigned speed indicator (remembers me the V7 one 😉) and a simple rack... But I like the "nude" image of the "cockpit" wich is what I like on a motorcycle... You look at the road and the genial border coolies and NOT at your multi sceens (even if I get it that it's SOMETIMES essential...). Good review indeed as usual. Thanks again !
Looks like a fun winter hack and cruise control WOW. I will have to re-watch the video because I missed the part where you gave the TBW affiliate link code 😂
I've always liked these, but there again I like the Ducati Scramblers, at the prices these are going for, it's almost a "can't lose" situation as the quality seems more than acceptable. Never thought I'd say that about a Chinese brand.
I loved your video 'Keeping things in Perspective' and I see you've done just that - Your perspective! You've taken my comment down. So much for balanced and free opinions on how RUclips operates. Stay safe.
@thebingleywheeler Thanks for that Dave I am.pleased to hear it. Nevertheless it was certainly NOT abusive, I like your work generally but after searching I have not been able to find it. Maybe the RUclips BOTS are to blame but I accept your assurance. Safe travels 👍🏻
Morning Dave, a very interesting bike from CFmoto if a little uninspiring however the more I look at it the more I like it even more so then your 800mt 🤔 carry on that man Caio for now tat ta👍🏻
The sound of that 180 degree engine reminds me of my first motorcycle. A 1972 Honda CB350 which I believe also had a 180 degree crank. Talk about personality. That 350 would vibrate your feet right off the foot pegs as it had no vibration cancelling balance shaft. I much prefer the the sound of an even firing 360 degree crank engine like my W800. Cheers
It’s a Bonny looking bike for sure. Nice colour. Not sure on its sound, (not a criticism) listening through my AV Denon amp and Monitor Audio AV speakers. I have a dealer the guts of 2 hours away, might do a mid winter car trip, for a look. As most of their bike are very decent to look at. Probably be limited to the cruiser, due to my 27 inch inside leg.😂 Oh, like leather over the shoulder bag, very handy😊 Keep up the work Dave.😊
I know the first models had some growth pains good to know they ironed them out. However, I am now way more excited for the new Royal Enfield Bear 650.
They recently had a deal on these cl700's with over £1500 off the list price, which meant the 2nd hand values plummeted and you could buy them for around £4000 only 1yr old, which was an absolute bargain . I really like these bikes the cl700 sport looks fantastic and 2nd hand represents great value. Even new they seem good value as there are a few still available on ebay brand new for under £5000.
This is a stunning bike. Excellent value. Perfect riding position for ageing me. Lovely wide bars. I like the 18''/17'' combination. Disappointing to hear it doesn't have so much low-down shove, which is an essential characteristic for me. Enough to put me off buying it. A 270-degree crank would have sorted this problem. I like your jacket. What is it, please? Excellent review. Nick
Cheers Dave.. really enjoy the channel.I did a ride down to the Quantocks and Exmoor last Sunday with a mate on his Kawasaki 650 RZ.A but scary at one point when we couldn't see more than a few yards in the mist particularly by " Deads women's Ditch"!Safe riding .Richard
I’ve got the Heritage, which is same bike but lower front mudguard. I got mine two years ago. I bought it on a whim because I just liked how it looked. Been impressed ever since. Great on motorways or country roads. It’s no sports bike, but so versatile. No regrets. Great review. Thanks
@ only issue I has was when I was ill and didn’t ride any of my bikes the battery went flat. Changed battery. And had engine light come on. Turned out to be degraded fuel. Still ran ok. That’s it really. If I hadn’t been sick I’m sure it would have been fine.
Morning Dave, I live very close to you and like watching your videos to see my local roads but couldn't work out where you were today. Which road were you on? Rob
You are a lucky devil to have those roads on your door step! Bike not for me but am I right in saying these are on for £5k rather than the stated £7k? Autotrader seem to be listing at that….. at that price that’s got to be serious competition for the other brands.
Morning Dave. If the bike you buy is an extension of my identity then I must had a split personality with my Honda Dax 125 and my Kawasaki Eliminator 500 and you must have multiple personality disorder 😂
Pls drop the sales pitch... getting repetitive 😂 By all means, come back later to say how the various farkles, widgets, and woppets performed long term - including YOUR bikes. The best parts as ever are the ride outs on different bikes and, of course, your natterings😊
@@thebingleywheeler Your videos are good and you put a lot of effort in them and they are interesting but we get sooo much advertising and in the past few years it is getting worse, in your last video adverts or advertising comments were almost half of the video. 5 minutes in and not even a mention of the bike you are supposed to be reviewing.. a bit of product placement is one thing and i understand you have to make something for your trouble but come on, if i wanted a set of gloves or yet another touch screen, i'd go looking for them.

The only thing I like about it is the colour of tank , not enough for me to justify drawing the asking price or any price out of my bank account .

Nice review Dave. It's not my sort of bike, but for those that go for them, it seems a decent buy. 👍

You tube takes down a lot of comments, I wouldn't be accusing anyone of anything without any proof what so ever, I think that's far worse....
Let me tell you categorically that I have not and never will take down comments unless they are abusive

Excellent review and really cool looking bike.…worth a spin me thinks 😊 thank you
I think ya did a good job. Question
This one or Enfield 650. ???? Bear, interceptor.
Nor ridden the Bear yet
You said plenty of go, copes with bumps handles well. Answered my own question. Other brand not so much.
This one has way more power and techs compared to the Bear.

Hi Dave, so you eventually get to ride this MC. Having ridden it, despite the 180 degree crank, it's a belter. 👍

Cheers Nick Merlin Edale wax cotton jacket 👍🏻
You loved that bit more speedy then normal. Great to see you pushing on a little bit. As teapotone would say nationals. Time for blurry speedo.HAHAHA.
Hi Dave , thanks for the review. Do you think ,fully loaded with camping gear, that it would make a good touring bike ? Safe riding Richard , Brizzle
Hi Richard yes I would but my only concern would be the range out of that small tank

@richardfews2113 brave ride that Richard 👍🏻
Very surprised this model is such a rarity on UK roads? Buddy of mine has CF Moto 650NT and it has been an excellent choice reliable and cheap.
can be found NEW for 4500 quid !!! the going rate is 4999 however , lot of bike for that money
The moors or fields , or whatever there called , that you ride are they protected lands to stay like they are?. Looks like a nice looking bike
What did you call the dash cam kit I didn’t get it thanks Kev
I ordered the gloves and a rain jacket with the code.

Nought Bank buddy from Thruscross to Pateley Bridge then Lofthouse to Scar House
@thebingleywheeler Ah I don't venture over that way much, I'll give it a try now though. Thanks for replying 👍
Styling wise, way, way too much going on for me but are they really available new for £4.5k?
Seems very capable but I think it may get lost in a sort of no man's land between the current crops of 400/450's and 800/900's.
8:28 why does it seem to have a boomerang on the back 😂
Hand hold for pillion rider.
At under 5 grand you can't knock it especially with a Kawasaki engine known for its reliability.
