- Straight piped from the stock cat all the way out the back to a replica tip. I know I said full straight pipe. That’s not what I meant.
Car wasn’t tuned in this video I’ve done a lot more to it recently to check it out 👍🏻 Авто/Мото
5 cylinder has such a unique sound but I love it honestly
Yep,true👍
Because 5x2 is 10 so its like audi r8
Sounds like a budget V10, it sounds gooooood!
1 2 5 4 3
Love that shit. I couldn't get away with a full straight here in NY, so I'm thinking a cutout.
Ive got mine catback in NY, just push the clutch in when you see a cop, no biggie
Absolute legend
Thank ya fonx
😂 That thing sounds like you should flying. But the car just slowly getting up to speed.
Yup, I'm boutta do it to mine
> JUST BOUGHT A 06 in Newport Rhode Island, ×62,000 miles on it. Freaking love it. 😎💫🧡
🚙💥💨 @$2900 Bucks. Great deal
My cat got stolen so I just said fuck it and welded some pipe to it and it sounds like half of a lamborghini gallardo
Damn bro that’s tough 😭😭 glad it worked out tho
Can someone please steal my cat and save me the work??
Just cut the cat out bro I sold mine for $250 and that was considered very cheap. You can get lucky and sell them for 350-500
Why the jetta sound lowkey like a e60 m5🔥🔥🔥
it’s half an audi v10. yes.. really.
@@niallcorcoran4437 Gallardo?
1:38 was the best 😯
Mk6 2.5 6 speed getting ready for a straight pipe today haha LETS GOOOO why are farfanuggens so brappy
straight piped this sounds exactly like an rs3 2.5 liters nice
@@xcookiexuwux it’s an inline 5
Vw did have a vr5 it was a vr6 with one cylinder cut off and the displacement was 2.3 instead of 2.8 in the vr6. but this is a 2.5 inline 5. I have a 06 Jetta same engine as this. And I’m pretty sure the video is in the US and we never got the vr5
Yessir man props to you, you are heavily educated. Unfortunately we never got the vr5 in America due to poor emissions of the motor. (Supposedly)
@@Zenosynes nevertheless that thing sounds crazy slap a turbo on it
@@Zenosynes lol, i had a Jetta a5 with 2.5l vr5 (Imported from USA to Poland) And it's definietly vr5 not inline 5
what exhaust did you use for the straight pipe
Was the cat deleted too? Or just everything from the cat back ?
I had one and damn do they sound weird with the stock exhaust. They sound soo restricted and raspy.
Oh yes I agree 100 percent, the second day I got this car I was already in the muffler shop haha
Not gunna lie. At night when you are trying to sleep and this wakes you up. It is annoying. However I do like the sound. What can I say. I’m a complicated person.
I have a 08 jetta 2.5 stocked , i wannit loud buh not too exaggerated loud yk where it sounds clean and make someone turn they neck when you pass by lol , what do your recommend me to put on it bro ? 👀
if i do the same to my 2.5l 2013 passat will it sound the same?
Exactly how much was it just for the straight pipe wanting to do this to mine
where you get the straight pipe
How has the car been since the straight piping? Has there been any issues other than mad neighbors?
I straight pipe my 08 jetta for a year and went back to stock and honestly never once got a check engine light or anything but if you take it off you will notice some lag other then that straight pipes sounds fucken amazing
yoo bro I got a mk6 jetta with the 2.5l and want to do this!
Did you get a check engine light when you straight piped it?
You do get one I straight piped my mk6 you just have to get a 02 spacer to get rid of it
@@twitchport do they actually make these now, or is the old trick of hollowing out a spark plugs defouler still a thing??
What exhaust do you have on it
So I’m thinking of buying a 2012 Jetta in April of next year and I want it to be loud and when you got to the end I almost pissed myswlf it was so loud 😂 and the camera prolly isn’t doing it’s full justice anyways I was seeing you said cut out everything but the cats I’m still in high school and I’m not tryna have deputy dick wad up my ass when I start the car 😂 any suggestions and how do I do this
I’ve been wanting to get one of those cheap Amazon/eBay electronic valve cutouts for awhile but don’t know which one to get for my mk5. Don’t know what else I should do with the exhaust either. Anyone give me some pointers?
Cutouts kinda sound like crap in my personal opinion because it would dump under the car and not lit the Back. Up to you though man. I’d personally recommend getting a cheap muffler delete and res delete for like 100 bucks. If you don’t want it super loud, cut the mid muffler and resonator but leave the rear muffler. If you want it like my car, cut everything out except for the catalytic converter. It would sound awesome man. I have no mufflers or resonators on mine and I love it. Not a cop magnet either. It’s only loud when you want it to be and that’s what’s so cool about it. Lmk if you have any other questions🙏🏻
Yeah true, I had a clamp come undone a few months ago which dumped the exhaust under the middle of the car & it sounded like shit until I floored it, and it was loud 24/7. So I’m probably gonna do what you did & cut everything but the cat. Did you buy a straight pipe online or did you weld pipes onto the stock exhaust after cutting out everything?
The stock piping is 2.5 inches and it’s more than enough to sound great with just cutting the other shit out and welding up the same diameter piping in its place. So deleting those will still sound basically almost just as good
@@Zenosynes what if i just deleted the mufflers and kept the resonator would it still sound nice? i don’t want it to be obnoxiously loud i just want a nice sound
Decided not to do a cutout after I detached the exhaust after the cat. Stupid loud in the cabin and sounds terrible inside.
is it straight pipe from the cat?
the mk5's need a performance or regular resonator you cant fully straight pipe it or it sounds awful like this one. mk6's you can fully straight pipe and it comes out perfect, i think it has to be the difference in the cats to be honest. i found this out the hard way since i owned an mk6 before owning an mk5 which the mk5 is a way better car
i unbolted the exhaust at the res and its wayy to loud, but it also drones like a bitch, sounds little bit like a fart cannon too
You unbolted right underneath you what did you expect was gonna happen 😂
Mk5 and mk6 have different manifolds and cats. Also depends if it’s a cbta or cbua. The cali compliant cars get a way bigger catalytic converter.
@@Zenosynes i expected it to drone n sound like a fart cannon
Okay
this is so funny xDD I love it.
Straight pipe sounds maddd at first but when it's not pushing twice as much power then it's really lackluster.
did you just xd in the year of our lord, 2023? youre 15 years late
Wait what my mk5 is catless & straight piped but isn’t nearly this loud? I’ve got a blow off valve and it’s the 2.0 do you think that’s why?
exactly
Lowkey i live in fresno ca and i got a 09 mk5 2.5 and i wanna do it u have catalytic converters still but everything else is cut off did u make new 02 sensors bkuz i wanna do it but i dont want the check engine light on due to me having to smog it but i believe as long as i have the catalytic converters with the 02 sensors replaced in the stright pipes where they were on originally and i believe the light wont come on 🤔🤔??? .....whats your thoughts on this ?
Yes correct, if you get an o2 sensor mount put into the straight pipe you will have zero problems. No engine light, as long as you keep the cat, and then run the 02 sensors correctly with the straight pipe you will be golden 👍🏻
It sounds like a v10 damn it’s mean af
They don’t call I5s baby V10s for no reason, they’re literally half a V10, 10 divided by 2 is 5
For the “full straight pipe” did you delete the resonator too? I’m about to do a dual muffler delete on my mk6 2.5l today
Yes I did, only think I kept was the cat. It’s not even that raspy. You won’t regret it bro, it sounds amazing
@@Zenosynes damn man, I’m getting it done Monday and having a tough time on deciding on the res delete or not, don’t want to make it drone really bad or ruin the daily drive ability of it.
@@jacksonknowles8773 it’s gonna drone. i did it with mine. i have a mk6 though but definitely worth getting both cut out
@@julianborroto5851 so you say go dual muffler and res? Bc I may just say fuck it🤷🏽♂️
@@jacksonknowles8773 yup, if it’s a 2.5 it’s gonna sound mint asf
I know what I’m doing when I get a car
i’ve got the same car do you recommend doing this?
Hell yes. Won’t regret it. Send it.
So is this full straight pipe with a downpipe? Or is it technically a res&muff delete with cat still?
It’s straight piped from the cat back but no aftermarket Downpipe or anything. So technically speaking, it’s not a “full straight pipe”
@@Zenosynes so what parts do you need to get this done?
@@mceach145 just bring it to a exhaust shop and tell them to delete 2 mufflers and resonator. And add a tip if you want.
@@nickcaron3284 ok
Can you just res delete and cat delete and keep muffler on the 2.5l
Yessir! Totally up to you. Cat delete will throw an engine light tho that cannot be turned off even with vcds software
What size pipe u got it at u still 2.5 or 3inch all the way back
It’s 2.25 stock so I’m using 2.5 all the way through
this is the exact same design as the left side of the gallardo v10
WHY?
Audi noises, then it shifts.... Honda at fuckin 3 am... Thanks for the comparo. Looking to swap a 2.5 into a rail buggy. Did somebody bring an Audi s1 to the power line hills?
Thinking about going straight pipe on my 2010 Jetta 2.5l would it sound the same as the one in the video 🤨
Yes especially because you get rid of the mufflers which differ and change over the years , I got rid of my back muffler and resignattor because I have to have at least one muffler where I live
@@conscienceyt3494 is it legal to have a straight pipe? Like cops won’t pull you over for it?
@@nickcaron3284 depends on where you live
I’m straight piped after the cat. Keep the cat and only the cat. If you take out the cat you won’t pass emissions and it will make your car slow and wayyyyyyy too loud
What parts did you get for straight pipe? I want to do the same thjng
I just went to a local exhaust shop and they did it all for me. Costed me 100 but I spent 55 bucks on the tip
Exhaust tip *
Straight piped from catalytic converter*** sorry. So all I have is the cat
ATT3L
Im thinking of buying the awe track exhaust for my mk5 jetta is it worth it?
If you have the money, go for it man. You can get almost as good of a sound with just a straight pipe from the cat back with a little muffler or just running full straight pipe. It’s really up to you. The AWE track is basically a straight pipe from the cat and there’s a small muffler in between to bring the loudness down a little bit.
I paid 180$ for my straight pipe and with a welded up tip bro. Compared to 1k for exhausts or around that general area.
@@Zenosynes yeah but I think the awe exhaust system give it a little hp? Correct me if I’m wrong
Yes you will see more power with the awe setup because it still has performance muffler. With no muffler or resonators straight piped from the cat back, it will be faster than stock no doubt but not as fast as the awe kit. If I was to install a performance muffler I’d probably see a little bit more power. I just like how loud the car is so I’m keeping it how it is
what brand are the tips?
Upower Dual Exhaust Tip Tailpipe... www.amazon.com/dp/B071KN4LRF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Did you remove the cat?
No
Sounds like a volvo but doesn't move like one lol
What kind of spoiler is that
They come stock on the wolfsburgs and the glis, it was on the car when I got it. I’m sure it was stock.
Did it pass emissions?
Being a straight pipe from the cat yes, however I am now catless so no if you go catless you will not pass
Does it have a turbo stock?
No, watch some of my new videos this car has came a long way
@@Zenosynes thanks
That shits loud
Hy lmao it’s fun though. Surprisingly it’s not that loud in the car Bc it’s not dumping under the car. Thanks man
No cat?
I still have the cat, it’s the only thing left. It’s technically not a “full straight pipe” Bc I left the cat but I just didn’t want my car that loud.
How do you survive on the highway like the drone is bad?
Well I still have my cat, so it’s not bad at all for me. Plus it’s done properly all the way out the back so it’s harder to hear than it being dumped under the car
What full straight pipes do you recommend?
I’d recommend doing a 2.5 inch straight pipe after the catalytic converter. No mufflers or resonators. Bro to be 100 percent honest, you could totally get away with just doing a rear muffler, mid muffler, and resonator delete. The stock piping is still 2.5 inches so it’s totally usable. It would be hella cheap that way too. I’d say 100 bucks man
@@Zenosynes so pretty much if I delete all of that, it will be a full straight pipe and just add a muffler.?
Yep 👍🏻 the muffler is optional I don’t have a muffler or resonator. Tbh if ur gonna do a muffler it will make it pretty quiet still so if your wanting to do a muffler setup then you should also take out the cat to maximize power. Drawbacks are you won’t pass emissions and check engine light. Basically there’s two options in my eyes: straight pipe from cat back, no muffs or res. OR: full straight piped including removing the cat, and placing a muffler at the end. Those setups will be around the same loudness
@@Zenosynes okay I’m prob gonna delete the muff/resonator and keep the cat. Did you get an aftermarket muffler tip? I’m the vid it looks like you did?
@@nickcaron3284 yes I did. It was 45 bucks on amazon, it’s nice af. Quality welds, 3.5 inch dual exits, it’s awesome
Straight pipe sounds like a civic lol 😬😬😬
Right because a civic has 5 cylinders 😭😭 cmon now

@@Zenosynes i mean it with as little to no disrespect as possible it’s just way too raspy. should’ve put a smaller resonator in place of the 2 huge ones you deleted
