Hey James, thanks for watching. Mate I have no issue with it finding neutral instead of second when riding, but as always that change you usually use a little more pressure knowing you have to bypass neutral 😂 thanks for watching.
Check your idle. High idle can make a bike more difficult to get into neutral. If your idle kind of wanders and changes, you've likely got an induction leak. This is common and is usually an easy, inexpensive fix. Also, insufficient freeplay in the clutch can make it difficult to find neutral. Anytime you're having trouble finding neutral, make sure you are pulling the clutch ALL the way in. If it is engaging even the tiniest bit, it can be very difficult to find neutral.
Lots of great suggestions but I’m a simple solutions type of guy. In 5 minutes we fitted the Thrashin Supply lever and it’s no longer a problem. Definitive changes over the whole range and neutral first time every time, Thanks for watching, we appreciate it 👍

Another tip on finding neutral. I've been battling that for 30 years 🙂 Of course the EVO, TC, and M8 all require a little different finesse. On my 2023 I have found it very easy. Starting from first gear, shift up to second. Then just gently tap the toe shift down. Usually always hit neutral. The engine should be running. Test it out.

Hey thanks for watching. They fit both stock and aftermarket linkage rods. I am going to add the Thrashin’ supply linkage rod in due time but that’s more for looks than anything else. It will probably have less flex I would expect so may even improve on the original.

Never really had any problem as long as the owner’s is followed for getting to neutral. For the EVO 5spd, no matter what gear you are in, other than 1st, downshift to 1st gear and then lift half notch for neutral. It is almost impossible to go from 2nd to neutral on any 5spd tranny. I am going to look into this item however. This would work well with my slotted levers and linkage which are half the stock weight

Being 'Cyril the Cynic' , my first question was how? Bold claim by the product. Looked on the website ... gave their answer... "Our EZ Shift Lever improves the leverage by 25% making it easier to shift gears and find neutral. This doesnt solve anything. Neutral problems start when the bikes up to operating temp. And its usually caused by fluid level being too high or clutch adjustment. Good looking part, but thats not going to solve anything.
Wow, We must be totally wrong! It must be a figment of our imagination that both bikes now slot into neutral and other gears in a decisive manner literally clicking straight into gear each time every time. 😂 Dude, you’re wrong, trust me it makes a massive difference, but hey it’s only advice and a recommendation, you don’t have to follow it. Thanks for watching.
@thatharleycouple I'm just putting it out there for anyone with a hot neutral problem so they don't read the title and waste their money. It's a solid product and it has better leverage than HDs stock lever, and it'll definitely pop in easier (as you demonstrated cold), but harleys are notorious for having neutral problems when the bikes hot that this won't solve. If you have no problem finding neutral cold, but find it damn near impossible 30 minutes into a ride, this isn't the answer. And I'd bet 90% or more of people searching for the answer on RUclips have this problem. It's mainly from people filling the primary past the bottom of the diaphragm spring or clutch adjustment, but it's good for people to know this before shelling out cash for something that won't work. Again, I'm not shitting on the product. Its solid, as well as their linkage. I run both on my fxdx. But it's not the solution for the majority of people.
its all in your mind , changing the geometry by 10 mm has nothing to do with getting the trans into netural easier , stepping / lifting the peg a little harder would accomplish the same thing. But now you have to move the peg further then before. Nothing comes for free in geometry @@thatharleycouple
Price changes depending on your location and exchange rate. The basic price is on their website which there is a link to in the show notes. Thanks for watching.
mostly that problem is caused by a worn out bushing that the shift rod goes though, and that happens because people are heavey footed but will also happen over time because the way harleys vibrate. the reason the shorter lever works is because it give you less leverage and a softer touch pluss the shaft is new. you don't have to spend 150$ to fix the problem just have to have a lighter touch and like i said the bushing 8$.

Apply slight pressure as you move your left foot against the shift lever as you select neutral and you'll get it every time.
Nah too lazy if I’m honest. I just want it to do as I want and this product solved the problem in minutes. The question is why done HD simple shorten the stock shifter lever? Thanks for watching.
I tried that on my Heritage and couldn’t get it to work. Worked fine if not running but after I got it running I never could hit neutral.
Primary chain auto adjuster was the problem on two of my bikes
That’s interesting to know, I am going to discuss the whole subject in a couple of weeks when we discuss the whole subject of Harley Gearbox ‘issues’ on our regular video youtube podcast show
Check out ‘Hogs, Cogs and Two Aussie Flogs’
It is uploaded every fortnight
@thatharleycouple sounds good,I just subscribed, look forward to it
You will want to change the linkage too
Hey Flip, Why? Apart from the Thashin’ Supply one looking very cool I don’t see why. Interested to hear your thoughts. Whitey
The one that comes on the bike has BALL/SOCKET ...THAT WEAR and come apart at the worse possible time... get one that has "THROUGH BOLTS" on both ends... that will never fail
@@FlipandTheBlueMule Hey good to know, appreciate it. I’ll definitely check mine. Cheers.
One of the first upgrades I do on any Harley. I also save the old one just in case someone else needs it on a trip. Has happened twice.
@MichaelH416 same here, happened to me once... NEVER AGAIN
Thanks I gotta get me one of those I thought it was only me having that problem 😊
I can only speak to my experience but I find it fantastic.
By the way if you are looking for more biker content I also am one of the hosts of ‘Hogs, Cogs and Two Aussie Flogs’ youtube video show
@@thatharleycouple I have watched that show as well nice one 👍 mate
How does it work with a running engine?
Exactly the same, very well.
@@thatharleycouple so it's worth a try. Who will ship it to germany? Any suggestionen for me?
@@detlefgucia2584 Thrasher ship internationally. Just go to their website. Link in show notes.
Dude, you’re wrong, trust me it makes a massive difference, but hey it’s only advice and a recommendation, you don’t have to follow it.
@@Brad__Grayyip your correct
Bought one
Had mine a couple of months now and still happy with it. Just removes that small irritation. Hope you enjoy yours as much. Thanks for watching. Whitey
What's the price ? Should be included in the video.
Price changes depending on your location and exchange rate. The basic price is on their website which there is a link to in the show notes. Thanks for watching.
So Whitey, takin 10mm off made it easier for you to get it in eh? Well now you can honestly say that size does matter!
Lol And when I was ‘in’ I needed a Hoglight to find my way out. 😂
@@thatharleycouple 😂😂
mostly that problem is caused by a worn out bushing that the shift rod goes though, and that happens because people are heavey footed but will also happen over time because the way harleys vibrate. the reason the shorter lever works is because it give you less leverage and a softer touch pluss the shaft is new. you don't have to spend 150$ to fix the problem just have to have a lighter touch and like i said the bushing 8$.
Heavy footed? Mwai! Surely not. I’m sure there are many reasons and other solutions, but this one worked for me. Thanks for watching.
By the way, if you are looking for some more content to watch I also have host Australia’s Biker Show on our other RUclips channel called ‘ Hogs, Cogs and Two Aussie Flogs’ check it out 👍
Brand new bikes are difficult also
@johnholbrook6042 change your primary oil to Amsoil not the primary fluid its crap but the 20/ 50 it'll make a huge difference.
Always find the oil debate interesting. Being in Australia we don’t have ready access to Amsoil, but I always use HD Full Synthetic
Nice one Whitey…..so is there an Aussie supplier mate?
Not that I am aware of. I ordered mine off their website ( link in show notes) and it arrived in a week.
Just apply lateral pressure when shifting to neutral.
Thats fine on some bikes, but I am very happy with the Thrasher. Ride safe and thanks for watching.
Really only have to remove 2, the shifter can remain on the shaft...
Excellent
Thanks for watching. By the way, if you are looking for some more content to watch I also have host Australia’s Biker Show on our other RUclips channel called ‘ Hogs, Cogs and Two Aussie Flogs’ check it out 👍
Only problem I have is when the bike is running can't find it.
Trust me this makes a big difference. Yes the demo was done cold but I would not have uploaded it if it didn’t make just as big a difference when running. Thanks for watching 👍
@thatharleycouple cool I will ck it out thank you for making it, I am on The Unaffiliated RUclips show would live have you on. Peace ✌️
Whitey I hate to tell ya but most issues of finding neutral on Harleys is when it's running on initial start up ya lunatic lol, great blog tho , ur a funny man for sure 🤓
Not anymore. My baby loves every gear now. She is the perfect lady and now let’s me get it in whenever I want Scrote 😂
@@thatharleycouple hahaha, loved the bloopers whitey , Paul and Phil are bad influences I’m sure lol.
@@Scrote69A mate I’ve banned both Phil and Aquaman from the studio. 😂 Paul I’ll have to put up with. 😂
@@thatharleycouple thought I heard Jon in the background but wasn’t sure , good job aqua man
Don’t encourage him Scrote, the lunatic makes filming with a straight face impossible 😂
Adjust the clutch
G’day. Good idea, but it’s fine and was recently adjusted. I think my bike must just have been temperamental. Thanks for watching.
why not just apply pressure with your inside foot towards the engine works everytime with all bikes
Hey if that works for you brother all power to you. To me this was a simple fix and I can enjoy my bike just that little bit more.
Thanks for watching.
Wow! $119.00?!?!? I think I’ll just take the extra time to get it to neutral.
Hey is for a Harley, you don’t get anything under $100 sadly. I admit it’s not a cheap fix, but it is effective. Thanks for watching
Put Schaeffer's in your primary and it's not a problem.
OK I’ll pay, lol. What is a ‘Schauffer’s?’
@@thatharleycouple look up thier v- twin motor oil.
Oh I see. Mate being in Australia we don’t have access to as many brands as our USA brothers. Importing it ourselves becomes expensive due to postage costs. Sounds like a good product though. Thanks again for watching. Whitey
@@thatharleycouple ya...I hear ya. It's amsoil and redline hard to get too?
That's the stupidest thing I've read. The primary has nothing to do with finding neutral. Nothing from your foot on has a damn thing to do with inside the primary.
You didn't test it on a running motorcycle. They always go into neutral when not running.
Do you seriously think I would post it if it only made a difference whilst sitting cold in a garage? Mate trust me it works, running and cold. But if you want your money back on the video just shoot me your account details 😊
Too funny guys 😂😂😂
Cheers Chop, was a laugh to make this one. PS: Never film in a room full of Flogs 😂
Couldn't you do the same with taking the tranny cover off and adjust the levers, there is a bolt on the side
No idea, but this took me two minutes, solved the issue and makes changing into all gears more 'definite.' I'm happy with my purchase, not forcing anyone to get one just providing info. Thanks for watching.
I’m having trouble getting any..😅
Good to know 😂 Thanks for watching.
All harleys have neutral find problem, shift to first gear and go up...works EV time😊
Mine no longer has. 😁
My 2015 street 750 is very bad
Robert I have no doubt this would help dramatically. Thanks for watching, more reviews and tips coming.
Finding neutral on my Harley when running is the problem, not when not running...
I would not have put the video up if it only effected cold, stationary changes. Trust me it improves gear selection, especially to neutral when running. Thanks for watching.
The lever has nothing to do with it it’s the clutch adjustment.
OK, if you say so. Thanks for watching.
@@thatharleycouple I apologize if I came off like a smart ass but about 90 percent of the time it’s a clutch adjustment. Just a little info for your readers. Ride safe brother.
Its easy to fi d neutral when the bike is off go ride it and try to find neutral
I have, for thousands of kilometres now. The Thrasher has solved the issue for me 100%.
I would not have released the video without fully testing it in the field.
Now ride it....
It will have a hard time finding neutral again...even with new shifter.
Harleys always will...lol
Gee didnt think of that or try it before recommending, shit mate sorry shoot me your address I offer a full money back guarantee on the money the video cost you….. oh wait 😂
It actually makes a massive difference champ, but you do you.
No one ever had a problem finding neutral with the bike not running!
Bit hard to have a conversation, point out the pros for the product etc on the road mate . Trust me it works even better when the bike is running. You would complain if you couldn’t hear me talk over the sound of the exhaust.. Don’t want one don’t buy one pal, no skin off my nose.
What a bunch of bull . From neutral to 1st and back to neutral when the bike isn’t running ? Wtf. The real reason you can’t find neutral is 1- clutch adjustment 2 - too much oil in the primary. That is it . Waste your money if you want but this is bull shit
@@robertlongley5731 You are right, it may be a waste of money, but it’s my money, and I have plenty, so no need to worry my friend. 😃 By the way, You may not understand but it’s a lot easier to demonstrate with the bike in the garage, but do you seriously think the company would be selling thousands of these if it wasn’t a real issue or I would spend the money if it wasn’t an issue when the bike is running? By the way, thanks for the view, every one helps promote the channel.
@@robertlongley5731 Do you need a hanky mate?
Bike has 245 miles on it and can NOT find neutral to save my life!! 😡😡
I can recommend this product, such a simple fix. Thanks for watching.
I just shut off my bike and I find neutral quicker that way.
Hey whatever works for you. Me I am very happy with the difference this item has made not only top finding neutral but also how 'defined' all gear changes have become. Might be just this bike, but it has made a big difference. Hey, thanks for watching.
👍🤩✌
You would have to double shift to get 2nd gear from 1st. No thanks
It’s no different to normal, just easier, just more defined.
For what the part is, the price it way too high.
It’s definitely expensive, but the result is priceless! Thanks for watching.
Just rev motor a little
Thanks for watching 👍
😂😅
It was bloody funny filming it but damn it made putting a coherent vlog together a nightmare 😂
Dont by a harley all chinese parts anyways
True, except the frame, the motor, tires are probably from Japan, some brake parts from Australia, oh the petrol tanks are USA, yeh, I’d probably not be able to agree with you there. 😂 Thanks for popping by ‘That Harley Couple’ anyway. ( by the way, we are Australians not Chinese 😂)
After 120 years u ttink

Finding neutral 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻….. other than starting your bike… it should NEVER be in neutral !!!!
Wise words,
I have a solution, Don't buy a harley! Complete junk .

I replaced the Harley disk plates with screamin eagle. I have alot more smoother shift , quicker and easy to find neutral everytime.
Interesting. Definitely something worth thinking about. Thanks for watching.
If Harley cared about there bike buyers for what there selling them for they should come from the factory with this repaired .....or built in when the bike was put together new.
I can’t disagree with you. It seems like such an easy fix. Thanks for watching.
