This was so helpful. I love bold and dark colours and was recently typed as a true summer and was struggling a bit. This helped me understand the season better. Thank you.
The way you used the pictures to differentiate the sub-seasons was very creative, and made it all easier to understand. I'm a true summer, but I tend to veer towards the light summers colors a lot. My wedding dress, years ago, was the pale pink that Gwyneth Paltrow has on. Those colors just feel happier to me, and give me a little more variety. But of course I try to wear the true summer colors as well. Thanks for all you put into this, Nona. :)
Thanks so much and I'm glad I could convey these nuances :) Light Summer colors are so cheerful and sweet, and sometimes the effect of color overrides physical harmony :)
@@thealignedlover Now that I know the subtleties of what colors are good for me, I just wish there would be more availability of these colors in the stores. Same old same old every where I look.
It’s true that red really isn’t a summer color. I look blotchy in red!😂 but raspberry works. Blue I am pretty good at knowing which blues work for me The purple Emila Clark is wearing is one of my best colors. It evens out my complexion and doesn’t wash me out or overwhelm me. I like wear green but to me it’s a tricky color while it’s technically cool but can be warmer with yellow added . This was helpful to know which greens work for summers . Nice to know which yellows work best.
Red vs raspberry seems trivial at first but makes such a big difference! I love when a color can even out the skin. And green can definitely be tricky, especially if someone has more of an olive undertone...even a tad too much yellow can take over!
I am so happy to see this video, I love your videos, I've decided I'm a Summer most likely so this is really informative and helpful! There's not very many good videos like this ❤
My eyes are dark green with yellow ish color in spots . So with my light skin it’s so annoying I have warm eyes and yellow in the neck but my face is more cool
I think Gwyneth Paltrow looks gray against that yellow. Tbh yellow doesn't work for cool undertone people, especially light skinned since makes them looks blueish, gray or purple Even if it's a "cool" yellow, yellow is still yellow (warm) I love how yellow is included as part of a palette in all this 12 season thing, but it doesn't work when put in practice imo Hope to see more about these videos! I loved your approach and the way you explained it is more clear than other youtubers in the matter
As a fellow summer, I agree yellow is vert tricky and almost never works. I´ve had 1 shirt in a vanilla-yellow color with a soft green print on it that was flattering. And I can wear yellow gold as long as the other colors in my outfit compliment my skin tone.
@@charitadeknegt6661 vanilla yellow is the perfect way to describe a more forgiving yellow for summers :) and I’m glad you can find ways to wear yellow gold harmoniously :)

I LOVE the way you’ve visualized all of this information. It’s very cool (and so helpful) to see the differences for each sub-season.
Yay I'm glad that these kind of images help make the color theory differences a bit more clear and relatable :)
I love this. Great job. Can really see the subtle differences between the color shades.

Blues I think are hard for me to figure out . I know navy-ish is good on me . Especially with bright white
Do you have examples of woc that are light summer???
I'll definitely make a video on WOC Light Summers once I find good examples :)

Yellow is definitely tricky and even polarizing on Summers! I own exactly ONE yellow item haha. And thank you so much :)
