Thank you for explaining how black affects different winter sub-seasons. I've been trying to figure mine out and started at winter, then went to summer as I found that black can look a bit harsh - not terrible, but not great. True summer colours look ok on me but I always look at the palette thinking it's not quite enough. That not all winters fit black equally well is helping clear up some of my confusion. I'll try to find a cobalt so I can do comparisons between that, navy and black.
I am so glad you focus on nailing the subgroup at the end you guys have such a thorough simple clear logical system I love it - lots of wacky bad attempts at colour analysis on the internet these days so glad you guys are actually doing the real thing for people - do more!
Yes, there are so many people on the internet with lots of followers trying to do color analysis and they totally do not know what they're talking about. Alessandra and Giulia KNOW and they lay it out so logically and talk through the effects you see on the skin.
I was so glad when my daughter sent me your video! I learned about color analysis in 1987. I am a winter. The difficulty is that the fashion industry does not produce as many nice options on cool undertones and makes it very difficult to find variety at reasonable prices. In fact 90% of what is see has warm undertones! You both are doing a fantastic job!☺️
Ciao ragazze… love your Italian accents ☺️ I was surprised that Giulia has a cool undertone, on the screen the colors appear to be warmer than in reality. I thought she would be an autumn. This demonstrates that color analysis is best then done in person. Well done! Lots of love from Germany
Wow ❤ thanks for this beautiful comment!! Definitely on video colours can be altered, so don’t worry if you didn’t guess 😊 colour analysis works in digital just if there’s a professional doing analysis and if the method is correct! We set up ours and definitely works as good as in person ❤
OMG I love guilia's eyes they are beautiful And obviously Alessandra seems a pro with her outfits Everytime I look at her outfits she looks so stunning in her outfits Absolutely love your combo
I’d love to see a video that goes into what color (or colors) rule out each season. For example, if you don’t look good in “insert color,” then you can’t be a Deep Autumn. I’m stuck between Deep Winter and Deep Autumn and I’m trying to rule out one of them.
I have the same problem I might look maybe better in deep winter colors but foundation and hair color needs to be a little warmer because I have a little yellow on my skin Its so confusing for me
@@avamichelle4384 I used to think I was an autumn type but couldn't understand why camel made me look so terrible and sick. After lots of research I found I was a summer with cool undertones. It was quite a revelation and fantastic when you find out. Everything drops into place and you can then really start to enjoy colour. Try a yellowy camel colour without make up next to your face and see whether it looks good or not.
@@avamichelle4384 Hmmm…are you yellow or olive? I used to buy yellow or orangey foundation because I thought that was my undertone. But I realized I was olive even though I’m light skinned. That olive tone is what makes it so hard for me to know for sure if I’m Deep Winter or Autumn since there are olives in both. About the warmer hair color. It was illuminating to see how the high intensity color palette made her face appear brighter and more alive whilethe color also shone brighter. The low intensity colors looked muddy and grey and her face a bit dull. Such a light bulb moment for me! Keep up the good work. Subscribed ❤
You guys offer some of the best explanations on this and I often can see the differences you are talking about, so something’s working with your camera. Often on videos it can be hard for me to tell the effects different colors create. These videos have been top notch! Can’t wait for more!
Yes, totally agree with you! I love how in-depth Alessandra and Giulia are for each comparison, AND I can actually see the difference with the camera they're using too. These are my favorite seasonal analysis videos with drapes I've seen by far! :)
Meravigliose !! I’d love to see a soft summer/soft autumn scenario.. i have an olive skin tone but it seems to be both yellow and yet cool ( an in between not quite neutral) can’t wear silver, can’t wear really yellow gold .. only more neutral champagne gold looks good but cold muted colours like light blue, green and off-white are my best colours. Always impossible finding a foundation... Mi sa che vale anche per la mia seasonal palette ahaha
I feel for you, I also have difficulties with my foundations. I always have to mix them to get the right colour. Small trick if you are a cool olive: when the foundation is too rosy on you, mix a bit of fluid green corrector in it! It will neutralize the color beautifully! I use that from L’Oréal, it’s very versatile.
Thank you for this video. I have similar coloring to Giulia and was always confused if I was winter deep or cool. Comparing the summer cool and autumn deep was really helpful! Thank you!
This was an amazing video! As a winter myself I enjoy watching other winters because it helps me figure out my own season and where I would land better. Explanations were great in this! And I really enjoyed how it was stated that her main characteristic was cool. So cool colors work best on her and it’s interesting to see how summer colors work well on her too! Very well done video. I look forward to more.
This is the first time I’ve watched videos and really saw the differences, down to the subgroups of the seasons. Well done. For years I struggled to see myself as warm bc I am more drawn to the cooler colors. I’m not a fan of brown on me. But now I can see that I assumed all warm season colors had to be like the autumn season colors. I always felt too muddy in those. I am seeing more of the how the spring colors make my complexion fresh. So cool to learn about this! Thank you!!
You ladies do the best colour analysis that I can find. You explain why certain colours work better than others and what to look out for! Thank you both for your advice and attention to detail!❤ 😊
I have a difficult time seeing the differences. Could you please make a video explaining how to see and understand the differences that colors make? If I don't look at the color and just at the person's face (in this case the amazing Giulia), I don't see any change in the face.
I thought I was a soft summer, and was analysed as a cool winter... it honestly changed my life and I can honestly say I had my eyes opened to what was harmonious and made me pop.
I wish I lived in Australia to meet you for an analysis! I have always believed that I was an Autumn but now I have my doubts! And both of you seem to have a great personality, too. Regards from Sweden!
You girls just analyzed me online and said i am a true winter or winter cool. Mind blown! I need to rethink my wardrobe and makeup but i am so excited. I love these colors!
I am so glad the YT algorithm recommended your channel to me, I subscribed so quickly. As a winter, I have learnt much more about my colour palette. Thank you 💜
This has helped me more than any other color analysis video. I am torn between deep winter and cool winter for myself, but what I am seeing through Giulia is that both palettes can work for me, and that is very inspiring. Keep up the great work!
This is the best color analysis channel by far! You ladies make the analysis so much clearer and easier to understand than on other RUclips channels. Thank you for your great content!
Watching these videos has been SO helpful. I think I finally get it. It is all about what the colors reflect on your skin and does the reflected color match and highlight your skin and hair or does it fight against or alter it. These are so very helpful to watch, thank you :)

Could you make a video regarding hair color, i.e. if a winter type wants to become blonde, what kind of blonde will suit best or if spring type wants her hair dark. You are doing a great job! Greetings!
I am happy to see you analyze someone with the same profile as myself. I have always worn black but recently stepping out of my comfort zone! Knowing these colors work on me gives me confidence to take risks 🙂
This was an incredible analysis. I was convinced Giulia was Winter Deep after that palette worked so well on her but oh my goodness the Winter Cool was incredible on her. Seeing the Summer Cool work so well was eye-opening and shows that the subseason matters so much. Wow!
My query is re the bright winter magenta. Recently typed a winter in the 4 season system. I have pajama bottoms in the bright pink in that palette and trousers in the dark winter fucshia. I know the camera on a phone can do weird things but when I drape from the bright winter pink to the dark winter pink the change is huge. The bright winter pulls out every wrong colour it can find in my face, as if I’m having a UV damage photo taken. The dark winter pink makes it look like I applied foundation. Maybe ashes me out a little bit is way better. If I was a winter, why would the bright winter look THAT bad?
I cannot stop looking at color analysis videos! You girls are very professional! A big hug from Italy, still have my penguin keyring from Phillip Island, that I bought on 2006 when I was in Melbourne for work. You girls keep high the good of Italian flag in the world. I am a cool winter too. Here in Italy there is an ongoing debate about which seasonal method is better...some people use the Ferial but I personally found that it miserably failed on me. By the way, I thought that you were a true winter.
I wonder which season you would put me in. I know for sure that I'm not a winter and not an autumn, even though I have natural dark hair. Winter colors are too strong and make me look grey and green colors usually don't suit me they make me look greenish in a sick way.
This was helpful for me because I'm a Winter and my coloring is close to Giulia's. I can also wear Summer cool colors. Though I don't look my best in them, they work.
Thank you for this great video! In another system, I was draped as a Winter in the 1980s and as a Dark Winter last year. But, after watching this video I'm convinced I'm a Cool Winter! Where can I purchase the color fans/cards for a Cool winter?
I keep trying to find my season. I hate my wardrobe haha but I cover my face as a Muslim so sometimes one often thinks, ehhh it doesn't matter...but it does. I think a color can even affect t your mood, your personality. I thought I was Cool Spring and I usually fall pretty neutral in my tone. I know very dark colors don't look good on me but watching more of these make me wonder if I'm more summer 😅😅
First off, I love your content. Not only informative but you both have very soothing voices. Can you please make a video about what do once you have the results of color analysis? Such as the best ways to shop by color.
I've watched a few of your videos, and I think Guilia's analysis was the most clear in terms of being able to see the subtle differences in the undertone and coolness characteristics. This was a great video!
You two have the most systematic mode of analysis and the best explanations. Your system is easiest to follow and will probably also be easiest for me to DIY.
These videos are eye-opening! I like how you leave out the hair color at first too. I thought I had to be either dark autumn or dark winter because of my hair color but maybe I'm not!
Great work girls! Can you please analysis a Deep Winter too as i'd love to see how the Summer alternatives look. I find my deep colours too dark to wear in the warmer months & would love an alternative palette. Thank you for the explanation in regards to black & navy because I got confused because navy is one of my deep winter wow colours too but now I understand why Guilia is more Cooler than me. Your expertise really shows in your videos!
I've learned very much from you - and I thank you for that. Already started changing my wardrobe for the better (in the autumn of 2023), but it still needs some work 😛
I love your videos. They are very well explained. I would like to see a video about bright spring. It is not easy to get one in youtube. I was long time thinking I am winter or autumn (because my skin is very light (a little bit yellowish, my hair is brown and my eyes are brown as well).
Excellent! So thorough. I learnt to make my own clothes so that I can wear the colours that suit me. A good tip is to buy or make scarves that are in the correct colour as it can lift an outfit x
I love your approach to the analysis and I love your accents! ❤ I just found you and I'm wondering if I am actually a light spring vs a light summer? I am excited about the warmth in light spring. My eyes are light brown hazel and my hair is light golden brown with a touch of grey/ash. Sometimes my skin looks yellow sometimes it looks cool (compared to certain cool fabrics like pale rose. Do you have a video on this?
So if black is only flattering for someone who is deep winter would it also be true that a deep autumn will look good in black? Or is that not always the case?
Winter deep colours on Giulia are stunning🥰 when we choose a subgroup we are very very picky also having a subgroup doesn’t mean she cannot where deep winter colours🤗 she is a cool winter because black is a bit heavy and blue navy is much better. Also her level of intensity is medium-high, colours from the cool subgroup are lower in intensity and fit better her features 🌈♥️
Wow this is so interesting! Because she has a lovely mild Italian olive skin, I assumed the peach would bring out her tan.. but it makes her look sickly yellow, meanwhile the cool pink actually brings out her tanned glow! How fascinating! Totally opposite from what I assumed about olive European skin! So helpful in understanding what you also mean about makeup, foundation, that while the surface "colour" of your skin might reflect your ethnicity or skin "colour", it is your undertone that determines the best actual base colour of your look! This explains to me why it is so hard to find a good olive skin foundation for everybody, because the surface yellow "tan" is so confusingly "warm" I can see now why actually many must need a cooler base, or also why european cooler base makeup even in an olive shade is too cool for me with a warm autumn, even in winter when I am without my summertime tanned skin they make me look too pale and washed out.. now I understand I need both and olive skin shade as well as a warm undertone base in the makeup even when I am palest during winter, so that my skin continues to have enough warmth in the colour to reflect my season palette. So helpful! I think you said in another video that winter and summer are more common worldwide and also with euro skintypes, so it makes sense that so many olive colours are actually cooler and not suitable for autumn warm colourings. So so sooooooo helpful! Thank you so much! I also wanted to say, this is maybe the 10th video of yours I've watched in the last few days, and you're both so positive and respectful, and smart, and very very helpful educators, it's such a delight to see on the internet. Thank you so much!
I'm a little confused. Isn't black the best color for cool winter? Since deep winters have some autumnal influence, don't cool winters look better in black than deep ones? With the exception of black, I thought that deep winter colors worked a little bit better overall, but both palettes were really good on Julia. I enjoy this series of lot, it would be helpful if you could analyze more seasons, especially ones with low intensity or more neutrals untertones, I find them harder to figure out correctly.

To me all ColorShare look absolutely beautiful
First off, I love your content. Not only informative but you both have very soothing voices. Can you please make a video about what do once you have the results of color analysis? Such as the best ways to shop by color.
Wow!
I've watched a few of your videos, and I think Guilia's analysis was the most clear in terms of being able to see the subtle differences in the undertone and coolness characteristics. This was a great video!
You two have the most systematic mode of analysis and the best explanations. Your system is easiest to follow and will probably also be easiest for me to DIY.
ok..I have to say I LOVE this channel!! I look forward to many more to come 🥳
These videos are eye-opening!
I love watching you guys, best colour videos i've found.
I've learned very much from you - and I thank you for that.
Already started changing my wardrobe for the better (in the autumn of 2023), but it still needs some work 😛
I find this kind of stuff completely fascinating. One day soon I’ll be using your services.
I just have to do this analysis somehow! Would love to find out my winter subtype.
Thank you ❤
This video is fantastic! You broke down the colour analysis process sooooo well ❤
im obsessed. so informative and such great comparisons
Giulia looks a lot like Princess Catherine.
I'm also a Cool Winter! 😀 So helpful this video!
this is so interesting!
wow you are so professional and warm, amazing video!
Great tip! ❤ to keep your friend colours close to the face 🌈
I really enjoyed watching this and I love how you explained everything so well.
I think i need to meet you ladies! I am so confused between autumn and winter yet it should be obvious to me
So if black is only flattering for someone who is deep winter would it also be true that a deep autumn will look good in black? Or is that not always the case?
In my eyes Giulia popped more in the deep winter colors but maybe I am biased cause I love those colors, you are the experts after all
Winter deep colours on Giulia are stunning🥰 when we choose a subgroup we are very very picky also having a subgroup doesn’t mean she cannot where deep winter colours🤗 she is a cool winter because black is a bit heavy and blue navy is much better. Also her level of intensity is medium-high, colours from the cool subgroup are lower in intensity and fit better her features 🌈♥️
So happy to see a cool toned colour analysis! :D Excited for your future vidos
Thank you so much ❤ we will definitely make more videos 🌈
You explained very well thank you
Beautiful!
I know the skin is the most important in a color analysis, but I am curious, however, what color are Giulia's eyes?
