    This is by far one of the most sensible videos on Hashimoto's. Especially the bit on T3.
    If someone does not feel better on T4 alone why pour more and more of that into the gas tank? If combustion is still not working properly, perhaps you don't need more gas (T4), but need to add oil (iodine, selenium, iron...) or oxygen/airflow (T3).
    "You have so many different options that you will find something that works for YOU individually". 🎯💯

    Please add information on menopausal struggles with previously balanced thyroid dis ease. I started synthroid in my early 20s, with few symptoms... until I turned 40! After much pleading, Reverse T3 was finally checked (29). I now take a micro dose of liothyronine (10 mcg) which keeps Reverse T3 around 12. I have much more energy... but I haven't been able to get rid of the extra 20 pounds of fat gained in my abdomen. I feel that I am aging too quickly as well, yet I eat a clean diet of low grains, gluten, and dairy. I get a lot of vegetables and go for grass-fed meat.

    • @junkgirltoo5005
      @junkgirltoo5005 3 месяца назад

      @@PandaLAGI ate paleo, low carb and keto plus a carnivore stint and my thyroid became damaged. Not eating enough good carbs will put your thyroid in danger. Your body and brain prefer and run best on glucose. No glucose or inadequate hurts energy production at the cell level (ATP) It works for a good time but then is really basically becomes a low calorie diet, (OMAD,IF, etc)where I did lose weight but encouraged under eating. That ultimately lowers your metabolism and doesn’t give enough energy to your thyroid and organs, bones. Plus it causes insulin resistance. And weight gain. It’s a good way to get off harmful food but in the long run harmful itself. Im trying to repair the damage of 12 years on these diets. Here’s the kicker-your body creates glucose using the stress pathway. Cortisol and adrenaline. Used for emergency energy (like running away from a lion) but should not be used for constant energy. This stress pathway then has to take substrate to make glucose from your body-organs, bones, etc. Then your thyroid becomes down regulated also. A double whammy that degrades sleep, blood pressure, thinning bones. Your brain. So much. Think about it-stress hormones. Then, if you over exercise it makes this whole thing worse! Check out Kate Deering or the Energy Balance podcast. I am using T3 but I had to order it from Mexico. (It’s called Cynomel there) All Day Chemist also has Cytomel and a doctor does the prescribing. I’m monitoring my dose closely. I feel we have to basically doctor ourselves now. I trust very little the docs tell me now. Good luck!

      I am in the UK and have just been put on T3 by my GP (I am not seeing an endocrinologist). Apparently, the cost has gone down drastically and the NHS now prescribes it. I mentioned it to my GP who didn't know anything about it and sent an email to the endos at the hospital who suggested putting me on T3. Just ask your GP and see what happens. My T3 is not making any difference yet but I think my dose is too low.

I feel like it's the best time with no food/ drink in my system & I take my t3/t4 then, go back to sleep immediately & then take again around 2pm. Is this ok?

Although still the same, my t4 was reduced to 100 mcg. I have been slowly gaining weight and struggling to lose. Sounds like I need to increase my T3 back up and maybe a lil more. I am feeling better with the lower dose of T4 and this could be due to being a carnivore. Thank you for this video and I’m glad I found it!

I definitely had more energy during the day but after a few days, I started not sleeping well every third night or so, then that next day, I wouldn't just feel tired, I'd feel sick. It was so much worse than my now very normal slightly sluggish energy level that I decided to stay with slightly sluggish.

      It takes time to build up T4 and T3 in the body. Admittedly T3 metabolizes much quicker then T4 but by the sounds of it your body built up to much T3 so you became hypo briefly then got sick. If you felt good on it at the start id just cut the dosage way back as it takes time for it to accumulate in the body.
