Great video as usual! The pitch bend range of -64 to +63 isn't weird random values, it's the range of a MIDI CC parameter (i.e. 0 - 127), in this case pitch bend. In this configuration it's acting as a bipolar parameter but is still constrained to the normal MIDI CC resolution so the range in either direction is cut in half.

Set Serum pitch bend to +63 and -64 and you have semitones steps for each midi CC value
