Another enjoyable nerding out video! Not quite the difference I was expecting. I still need to chrono my work up loads in my 16” BCA Gendel. But you got some pretty consistent results. Good stuff as always 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
My 16” BCA barrel is awesome. I have zero complaints with it other than the fact my wife stole it lol 😂
When my son is struggling with something like that. I always offer to call his sister to help him. Works every time 😂😂😂
😂😂
Appreciate the extra work to make this happen. Not as much difference as I expected.
My pleasure man
did you do accuracy testing on the new bca barrel before swapping? I'm assuming a future video??
lol 😂 you have a keen eye, yes I did and it’s next
Cool video!! I had the same issues with 1 bca upper receiver i have. It was 7.62*39. I lost 1 of ther 6 screw handguard fasteners. So i wanted to just swap handguard, and barrel nut. My gun smith ffl had to cut the barrel nut off. I got new Anderson upper receiver and new handguard. Its a good and my favorite x39 / bear 47 rifle now. ❤! Funny story
Whoever is tightening them needs to see a therapist lol 😂
You look different man! It’s been a minute since I last watched one of your videos and aside from the voice, you look like a different dude.
Got in a little better shape lol
I remember this issue. Wasn't there a fairly glaring problem with accuracy with that original BCA barrel because of the over torquing? It might be interesting to see if accuracy improved with the new properly torqued BCA barrel or the DB barrel.
Yes I fought it for a good while trying to find an accurate load. I checked torque but always to ensure it was tight, I never tried to loosen it, mistake on my part. Saturday you’ll get to see the new barrel torqued correctly shoot some groups.
Good video. BCA barrels seem accurate, they are just heavy. One of the best shooting barrels I have is a 16" 7.62x39 Diamondback barrel I bought from Primary Arms for $64. I have been looking at an 18" 6.5 Grendel barrel on the Diamondback website, even though the last thing I need is a new cartridge AR, the one on their site uses the .125" bolt face depth (7.62x39 bolt), where did you buy your barrel and what bolt depth does it use .125" or .136"?
I bought the same barrel but from primary arms. It’s type 1
@@thegundungeon Thank you for the reply. I look forward to seeing how your type one chambered barrel performs, maybe I do need another AR, lol.
@@EC-mc7vg I’ll go ahead and tell ya, it out shoots its price tag by a large margin lol
@@thegundungeon Very nice, glad to hear that. Like I said, I have one of their barrels and it shoots very well.
Were the BCA barrel and the DB barrel the same twist rate.
Yes
Did they not use aero shell on the barrel nut the first time?
Bud, I think John Cena tightened that barrel nut after catching his ol lady with the neighbor.
i have had a couple of bca uppers an they worked good but ended up trading them not sure on there life span thoe lol
Ah, DiamondBack....the fallen king. Those were the best rifles in Ukraine for five years till 2021, when quality dropped to a broken bolt after 600-1000 and precision 2-4MOA out of the box.
