Is Analog FPV Better With HD Zero Goggles?

- Flying analog FPV with HD Zero goggles hasn't been good until this update. In fact, it seems to be better than our analog goggles, but how stable is this firmware update? Time will tell, but so far, we've not had any problems with it. For a quick look at HD Zero and what the flight footage looks like, check out this video!

Glad to see you enjoying the Little Bully, great skills!!!
I like Little Bully almost as much as I like Big Bully. Lol
Thanks, Kai. 👊
What is this drone Little Bully? I never heard.
Doing well on those sticks, thanks & regards
Looks awesome Kris. Yeah my buddy Brad has them and they are really good 👍🏻
nice flying and powerloop. great review. happy to see HDzero coming thru
Thanks so much!
I just got mine set up with a v2 analog expansion module last weekend and i could tell immediately it was a big upgrade over my old analog setup both in viewing experience and in dvr quality. I'm not sure how often I'll use the wifi streaming capability, but it was interesting to try out.
That's awesome! I was surprised how much better it looks.
I didn't buy the WiFi version, but it seems like a nice feature.
@@readysetdrone One thing that really stood out when flying several different analog quads through the new goggle setup was how much more of a difference you could see between lower and higher quality analog cameras. In particular in the dynamic range of the colors.
@@sixtofiveoh that's a good point
Thank you for the video. Some were saying that their analog problems continue, maybe when many pilots in the air like a big race?
You did a great job, Have to ask how many takes did it take to get the sequence at the end in one shot and no crashes.
Trevor, thanks so much for noticing that the end sequence was all one shot.
I fumbled / crashed / or bailed out a few times. I'd say that was probably my 4th attempt. Still not perfect, but good enough for this. 😎
Great Job@@SunriseWaterMedia you did a great job to get thru, The sign of a Pro
I have a HD Zero module but I fly mostly analog. I was thinking about buying these goggles but I'm still not sure...
Compared to the attitude the image quality really looks much better. Plus the 90fps mode for HD zero also sounds very interesting. Do I have to buy these goggles now, Kris? 😉
Thanks for watching, Paul. I think you're fine NOT buying these goggles.
If you mostly fly analog and you already have analog goggles that work, then no need for HD Zero goggles. They aren't very compact when the analog module is attached.
If it were the other way around, and you mostly flew HD Zero, then it might be worth having these goggles and getting rid of your analog ones for simplicity.
Speaking of 90fos, I just bought the HD Zero 90 fps camera and a VTX to replace my analog camera which just died for no apparent reason on my analog Babyhawk 2. So, hopefully I'll be able to get that upgraded and see how that looks.
If I succeed, I'll make a video about it here on Ready Set Drone.
@@SunriseWaterMedia Thanks a lot for your detailed response 🙏 If they can improve the penetration and make the freestyle vtx a bit smaller I could imagine to fly more HD zero. I'm also very interested to see your take on the 90 fps mode. Looking forward to it.
So, for now no new goggles🥽. My wallet will appreciate it 😂
I hope to get a set of HDZ goggles for my birthday. I want to build a HDZ racing quad. Dji has no really good whoops for inside. And try to justify having 2 pairs of goggles to the wife. 🤔
Thanks for watching, Chris.
Just tell your wife that Kris with a "K" told you to buy a second set of goggles, that way, you can blame me. (I think I'm safe here...🤔😜)
nice example Kris- makes it hard for me to buy my first set of real googles... UGH!! 😢
I didn't know you can do powerloops in horizon mode....👍 for the attempt! And i do fly FPV sinds 2017.... Never too old to lean :)
Always trying to improve.🤘 I really like horizon mode for indoor flying. If I let go of the right stick, the quad stabilizes, but I can do "acro style" tricks as well.
Thanks for your comment.
@@readysetdrone Yes I see the benefits. I learned myself flying acro inside end last year with the mobeetle it took a few frames :)
Ha! Nice 👍
Hi, I’m late to this video but I had a question. I currently have transformer SE goggles. I was contemplating making the jump to HD zero… this video was an interesting comparison of the analog drone with analog goggles versus HDzero. I would say the picture quality does look a little bit better with the HD zero, however, not night and day different. With that said, I was wondering because I’ve never seen a comparative video, how drastic is the jump from an analog camera with HDzero to an HDzero digital camera with HDzero? Any chance you have video of that comparison?
We have a video reviewing two nano quads. One is analog and the other is HD Zero. There is a decent about of similar flight footage from each one, if you want to have a look at this video.ruclips.net/video/ps-gzcgV9zo/видео.html
@@readysetdrone thank you that does give a good comparison
👍🏾👍🏾
Did you have any power issues with the module and the hdzero? I cannot get my hdzero to power the screen of the receiver on...
Not that I remember. I did double check that all the pins looked straight and the module was firmly situated. Then I selected the expansion module as the source in the goggle menu and it all worked great.
Hey, what is the state of analog on hdzero goggles some month later, is everything fixes with rapidfire?
✌️👍
👀👊
How do these compare with dji v2 goggles with rapid fire?
It's been a while since I flew analog with DJI goggles, but seeing that HD Zero actually makes improvements to the image quality, I'd say it's a better experience. However, don't go out and spend money on this set-up if you've already got DJI and RapidFire going already.
What antennas are you using on the analog module ?
I linked what I could find of the main parts of this set-up in the description.
They are nothing special. I think they came stock with the Attitude v5 goggles.
@@readysetdrone Thanks
Skillz Kris ...show off😂
Lol, I'm just trying to keep up with you, Paul!
