12:47 I don’t think I consider “free work” a mistake. It’s a learning curve. You have to go through this process to know exactly how to price your worth. Great guide.
@@justfuxy_ I have had real good luck with the caddx system. Even penetration through buildings. Pro V2. Still trying to work out a good transmitter set up. Supposedly able to hold a signal out to 30km without obstruction. (High latency though) We shall see.
nice one! cool to see you're achieving your goals and keep killing it! But 1500$ dayrate? you're work is worth so much more and you should definately consider rising your rates
thanks for the comment and input guys✌🏼 for me the 1500$ dayrate was like the sweet spot. As I lived right in the countryside, there were only like a few agencies and video productions and budgets are pretty low outside of bigger cities, so that kind of shaped my network the last years. Maybe if I can get more into higher end productions, were you guys are currently in and crushing it, higher rates will be definetely considered.
What a great video i think i start it on fpv around the time you start it 2018 to 2019 and yes you are so right there are so many diferent things you need to learn and then fly the drone its so important . One thing i don't have yet is the 3 d printer but im pretty sure im going to get it . Anyways great video thank you.
That is for flying drones, editing is always a little bit less, or you can also do the same if youre very skilled editor. In editing rates are lower as its an broader skill and there is more conpetition
To be honest my plan was similar to your first one, year or two or learning and money making. I am already learning editing but if you said that it is not included i have now amount of motivation like in January or even more than when i started flying. Thanks bro
Very interesting video. Thanks for sharing. I have been crazy about FPV since I started in 2021. Since then I have been flying and building more than 50 drones. I guess my pilot skills are good so far. What worries me is my video editing skills are absolute zero. I fly for the fun of it, but wouldnt mind getting paid to use my equipment and skills. Do you get paid just to fly and give them the raw footage to use? Because actually editing the videos takes probably more than a week and much longer than the day of flying. Also what about drone laws? Sure most shots are probably not all LOS and the greatest spots for nice footage are Naturschutzgebiete.
Hi mate, I basically do both, so agencies pay me to only fly and film the footage and the client edits it and other times I fly, film and also edit and deliver a finished video. And yeah, drone laws is definetely not the greatest in Germany, but thats a topic for another video :D
Alr but why you still using DJI 😆 Walksnail has come a long way and now it's pretty much better than DJI. You can use Analog and HD0 with it, it has a 4k cam but you have a gopro so you don't even need that, it has BOMBASTIC low light performance and it has just more products. Would like to see a video from you explaining it
I basically never had any issues with DJI, so I also never had any reason to switch. Also nobody I know uses Walksnail, so I also never had a chance to test it out. that's why
Ppl!!! $1500 day rate is cheap as hell! 1. Don't advertise day rates. Negotiate them with each client for every project. You may charge less for RE walk through but judge by what will your video bring to your customer, and what competition in your region for this type of videos is available. 2. You are not making $1500 every business day of the month. Your work includes acquiring/building/maintaining equipment, advertising/marketing, doing the accounting/taxes and many more. Calculate your cost of doing business and see how much expenses you have every year, and how much you must bring at the end of the year. 3. Take some course on running small business so you can sustain yourself.

i do know that he knows that we know... but for real that fpv with the guards looks kinda funny. its a giant cine-whoop

I 100% agree, free work is much needed to collect experience, but doing free work for like 2 years as I did, is way too much
@@justfuxy_ 😊 Yes, for 2 years? It is way too much. Probably up to 4-5 gigs should be fine.

I only have analogue at the moment, will be building a hd drone in the near future, and then choosing some high end goggles
sounds like a plan🚀

4K is like the standard, so most clients are wanting that
