Michael Giacchino wrote one of my favorite themes for a film in The Incredibles, a parody of the Fantastic Four. The fact that he's creating the theme for the actual characters is a dream come true.
What I love the most about this theme is how Giacchino helps us to understand how different these two superhero families are with music. Incredibles theme is an action packed jazzy theme where a crime fighting family comes in to save a day. F4’s theme is a retro sci fi theme of a family that are explorers and discovers many possibilities outside of Earth.

This...this feels good. This music suddenly transported me back to a time when it was perfectly okay to be optimistic, straight forward, and hopeful for the future. Without an ounce of irony, cynicism, or trolling sarcasm. An era when it was still permitted to be straight forward and believe in our dreams without the rest of the world coming crashing down on us. Michael Giacchino, once again, shows us how important music is to a movie's identity. If the movie is worth of this score, my goodness, we're in for something truly special !

I 1st knew of Giacchino from his Rogue One OST. I couldn’t believe someone could emulate John Williams so well while being their own thing. Then I learned the earliest OST of his I’d heard was The Incredibles, 1 of my favourite films ever. From those to No Way Home and The Batman, Giacchino is truly Williams’ successor as this generation’s go-to composer for mass-appeal blockbuster hits! I’m looking forward to this film’s OST as much as its characters and plot. 😊
michael giacchino never misses. and there are so few genuinely good (like not just okay, but GOOD) scores in the mcu i'm so excited. a great score truly elevates the film and i think this is going to be one of those; just hearing it i can see the retrofuturist aesthetic that i know first steps is going for, which shouldn't come as a suprise because giacchino's scored for similar themed movies before (something something the incredibles is basically a fantastic four movie et cetera). listening to it i feel like i should be on the peoplemover or something. i've seen some people say it conjured the image of a space launch, and i agree, and that's obviously perfect for the fantastic four.

This theme is 100% evoking the most current Marvel intro that Michael Giacchino scored, and that is 100% intentional. The Fantastic Four are going to be SOOOO vital to the MCU! I'm here for it!
Understand the influences, but it took a few repeats to begin appreciating. With visuals, context of story, emotional investment, score will likely be among the best of Marvel.
