Great advice in the areas you covered. Imagine that the food is spicy and an acquired taste if similar to Indian restaurants in the states. So happy to hear that the trip went well and your descriptions and analysis of the sites as well as the cultures that you encountered are well crafted. Enjoy your time back at home and we'll look forward to more adventures in the near future!

Did you say you took one immodium each day as a precaution? Is that ok to do? Am going to India & am worried about an upset stomach so really want to prevent if possible.

11:50... no one use any kind of purified water in their food unless its an 5star hotel/restaurant ... the problem with western people eating Indian food is Indian food is spicy and oily which your belly is not used to... so when you suddenly change your diet, you feel sick due to gastric and acidity... that's all... thousands of people eat from street vendors, no one fall sick... i do agree that hygiene is poor though, but getting food poisoning isn't related to that... its just change in diet

    # Tipping in restaurants
4:18 - in India you definitely don't have to tip 10% in restaurants. You can tip 50-100 rupees.
A little more if you are feeling generous.
    # Begging
Remeber if you give money to beggars you may immediately get swarmed by other beggers.
It's still worth doing if you feel like it.

Really isn't necessary to tip. As an Indian you should title your "tip sheet" given to you as "White Tax".😅😅

Tipping culture...!!??? In India its not.if you feel happy abt service or extraordinary service, only then tip.your guide's guidelines about tipping is just misleading.you are not supposed to tip every now and then.you don't need to pay people extra to do their respective job.

No their advice is pretty accurate. Only caveat - you don't have to tip 10% in restaurants.
