@@natramirez6716 yeah I’d go for the M340 at the same price as this. Especially if your younger. The 530i and 540i are more old people cars. M340 is a fun car that’s still luxurious!
This older center console technology is not a drawback. The current trend of going bigger screen and getting rid of physical knot and buttons is a step backward. All part of cost cutting measures from the auto industry at the expense of safety and convenience.
I drive a 2019 440i M Sport...same B58 engine. Great little car. I was given a 2023 540i as a loaner for a week while the dealership waited on some back ordered brakes and rotors. I've got to say, I was super impressed with the ride quality and quite cabin. The interior was naturally larger and more spacious than my 440 which was nice. Also, it was super easy to park...it's by no means a land yacht like the 7 series. I am honestly am looking to sell my 440i to get the 540i. Gotta stick with the B58 platform...it's rock solid and so tunable.
I love this car but the only feature I can do without is the gloss black & gray exterior plastic parts. Would rather those be a matt or flat color. Shiny gloss plastic reminds me of a KIA but again I do love this car.
Does this not have the b58tu engine or is the the second variant of the gen 1 b58 . I’m driving a brand new one right now and it looks like a tu motor but it’s rated 335 not 372.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed OK, so here's the story. Bufori is a brand of hand-built automobiles inspired by American 1930s coupes. The company is owned by a trio of half Australian half Lebanese brothers using the Khouri surname: Anthony, George and Gerry. BUFORI is an acronym for Beautiful, Unique, Funtastic, Original, Romantic and Irresistible. Its headquarters are located deep in the city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's capital, inside the Kepong area. The cars are made out of carbon fiber and kevlar, so its classic 1930s styling on the outside and a hint of Chrysler group products on the inside such as the Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger SRT-8 and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, hence the 5.7L naturally aspirated HEMI V8 engine from the Dodge Charger SRT muscle car.
Yeah but the back seats are way smaller. This is for the person who not looking for a performance sedan. And wants the space and better ride quality. I’d buy the M340i too. But I don’t need the space
@@DanVick-jz1kc well I think he referring to the m340i which has 382 hp and can be had for 58k in rwd with the new interior and just as refined to there is really no diff tbh and if u get it with the electronic suspension the 340i in comfort mode is beautiful to drive so I’m going with 58k with much more performance and equal luxury appointments imo
That's a good option too. However back seat space is significantly different. 3 series just isn't that comfortable in the back seat. Also the 5 series is incredibly smooth and insulated. 3 series is not close to the luxury level. I'd buy the M340i over this too since I don't care about back seats and I like the performance of it. But the 5 series is for an older person who just wants a nice car to cruise in with space and enough power to get on the highway. Very different demographics.
Yeah the 540i is still old generation stuff and is tuned to just be a nice relaxing luxury car. Old people buy this car I'd assume. If you want a fast 5 series go for the M550 with a twin turbo V8. 540i is for cruising slow.
I’ve heard concerns about the V8 having the “hot V” turbo setup where the turbos are located in between the cylinder banks, exposed to too much heat in there, causing premature failure.
I didn't get a good look at the center console, but from what I could quickly glean from the video was a conventional stop/start off button right behind the shifter. This will be changed in the 2024 5 Series edition. That model will have the "mild hybrid" starter/generator with 48 volts. I'm pretty sure the 2023 model does not have this useless POS which only ruins the driving enjoyment of "the ultimate driving machine." The new 2024 X5 is a good example. This model was binned by BMW by inserting the idiotic hybrid stop start mechanism. The 2023 X5 SAV model appears to be similar to the 2023 5 Series sedan insofar as its center console still has the same button to disengage the stop start.
I have this 2023 540 and it no longer has a button to turn off the auto start/stop feature. Now the only way to disengage it is to go into sport mode. The bmw genius set it up so that when I go into sport mode individual it will still use comfort configuration but it won’t turn off on every stop. It is the most annoying feature ever.
@@Jayhatake23 HI JayHatake, it was a pleasure to see your response to my Comment. It was gratifying to see you mention your current Bimmer ride. So often, whenever I describe my 2018 X3 M40i, I invariably receive vile and obtuse comments that I am a wealthy snob. Not one of those morons ever stops for a moment to consider that I worked my butt off, saving every nickel of scratch, so that I could buy my vehicle without going into hock. Thanks so much for the info that you can defeat the stop-start by going I to performance mode. You can be sure that before I acquire my next Ultimate Driving Machine SAV I will definitely follow your advice and put my BMW into Performance mode.
@@rogerspalding5673 I understand your sentiment. Don’t sweat it. Only you understand your hard work. Negative comments slide right off so enjoy your car. As for the auto start stop it really sucks. My 2016 bmw had a button to turn it off and it stayed off no matter if you turned the car off and on. The 2019 had a button which turned it off but every time you start your car again you had to push it again. And now the 2023 eliminated it. I doubt this will be true for M cars. I hope not.
Get this handsome 5-Series while you can. The next generation will be shown on May 23rd and I'm betting it won't look as good as this.

What a lovely sedan to own, I love it
Yeah it’s a pretty good spec and option!
Depreciation bomb
We'll see. In todays market probably not too bad. But being a more generic car, I'm sure it doesn't hold much
It’s a OG classic with a modern reliable engine (developed with Toyota for the Supra), and mild hybrid tech for excellent mpg.
Not sure when the 2024 will debut but I've seen some photos and from what I'm seeing, this thing will be bonkers!
