BMW designs have gone so bizarre as to make this one a classic before it's even out of production. This looks is timeless and will age much better than the new 7 Series.
Beautiful car, and a great package but this should have the 382 hp B58. The X3 gets the hotter B58 but not the $70k 5 series?? BMW should have included the 382 hp engine with a sport exhaust, dynamic handling package, big brakes and made it an M Performance model (M540i.) BMW, for the $70k + you charge for a well equipped M Sport 540i you should have offered a more special sport sedan. Not everyone wants (or needs) a thirsty, heavy 523 hp V8.
This 540i still does have the B58 engine. It's just the older version with about 40 less HP then the updated 382HP B58. You can still tune this engine to be on par with the updated B58 tho. If you get the M sport package it will increase handling and braking capabilities. I'm sure the 2024 540i will have the 382HP engine. 2023 BMW 5 series is still the older BMW. They havent updated it like the 3 series and X models

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Ok, so the sticker just says when the car was made? Ok! However, BMW hasn't changed anything since 2021. Maybe they dropped some options or combined them but design / power is identical.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Don't get me wrong, the videos are good, not boring and full of information. It's just that we don't say "it's a 2023 BMW" just because the car was made in that year, we mention the year the design was introduced. 🙂

My everyday BMW sedan!! Terrific job bro.
Yeah it's a great all around car!
How is it? I have a 2016 340i now but was thinking of upgrading to a 540i in a few years
@@jonm.678 I love mine! Waited seven months but we'll worth it!
It’s a cool BMW!
For sure. Great option
I’m gonna purchase it in the next couple of weeks
Sweet! Can't go wrong!
Nice review as always. Will be interested to see how this compares to a new 540i whenever you can get your hands on one!
What’s a new one? Is 2024 going to be different? This one just came out.
@@BrosFOURRSpeedyes it is different, gets the grill like how the new g8x m3/4 and new 7 series
@@slicelol1463 where did you see that? That would be a quick redesign already.

I love the gear shift it still looks like the old one , I don't like the look of the one they are using now.

Do all the 2023 come inline 6 ?
this 540 straight from factory bone stock this sedan is lot faster than any other 300+hp cars …

Gotta slow down bro. It’s like one never ending sentence
I’ve been working on it!
Does this one have m suspension or standard basic one which you can spec as an option to m-sport package?
The M sport package provides the car with the M suspension! So if you don’t have the M sport package, you automatically get the standard suspension!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed What does the M adaptive suspension do? Make it a tighter ride? Would that mean standard suspension is more comfortable as a daily driver?
It’s this or the m340i for me. Cannot decide.
which one did u get? :D
Bmw sedan 540i 👍
It’s a cool bmw!
Are these cars getting more reliable than previous years?? been browsing and looking to buy or lease one.
Oh yeah! Anything 2020 and newer will be more reliable. BMW is currently 2nd in reliability right now!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed that's good to see. I am not asking for a Toyota reliability but at least somewhere in the middle line
I picked up a 2020 for a daily and after putting 45k miles all its needed is basic maintenance.
BMW and reliable don’t go together.

does this pump in artificial engine sound?
Pretty much every car does that. But you can shut them off with the BImmerCode App
@@BrosFOURRSpeed i was just wondering which 540i generation was the last one to not have the fake sound come in, would you happen to know that?
I wouldn't know. But the fake engine sounds have probably been a thing for several years at this point.

How much is this car?
I mentioned that in the video! Don’t remember off the top of my head.

Yup!
The 2016 750 is still better than this as a 2023. Both are timeless designs.

You should’ve washed the car before

Those piano black plastics though...
What about them?
